all bts albums get marked as "kpop" regardless of the actual genres in them and it majorly annoys bts fans because it not only repels people with preconceived notions of "kpop", but kpop is not even an actual genre... it's an industry, one that most bts fans would not relate bts with. so with bts albums, if you ever do wish to check out any other ones, don't bother with the genre label - "kpop" genre is not a thing, bts does a huge variety of genres typically blended with hip hop, such as pop, rock, rnb, soul, jazz, funk, they've done it all to some extent. they have a sound of their own. they've even said in a couple of interviews that "bts is the genre".
I also can feel that lyrics are good even without knowing translation, it is maybe smth in the way lyrics are delivered, you feel it that it has substance in them, that artist really wants to say smth, even if it is upbeat song.
thanks for reacting to his album. i liked your perspective on this album coz it was purely (almost) based on the sonic experience, and thats rare coz rm's lyrics are what hes known for, his lyrics are very raw, honest and vulnerable so ppl (including me) care a lot about the lyrics but it was fun seeing someone who didnt know what the lyrics mean react to his music.
Lovely reaction! RM made the album in diverse genres so everyone can find one or two songs that they end up loving. I think that was cool . My favorites are Closer, Change pt.2 and no.2
like you said youre surprised he was cursing actually bts curse a lot especially the 3 rappers. you gotta react to their non music video songs. music videos are more safer/mainstream appeal/for radio play. the b sides (songs without music videos) are even better. i love the music video songs but sometimes people see those and think bts is some bubblegum cliche boyband kpop group when theyre not theyre actual artists who write their own music and have diverse songs in diverse genres with diverse topics they dont just play it safe theyre not like disney or bubbly love songs they have some songs like that but its not a large part of their discography. especially in the rappers mixtapes/collabs and the vocalists songs too they get very deep and real and explicit. :)
Haha I’ve listened to a lot of their B-sides! I knew they cursed, was just surprised at how often he was using the F word because I haven’t heard that in any of the groups music together-maybe there is some in the solo projects ? Either way I was a fan of it! 👍
Thank you for reacting to the album! I love Closer too. I hope you dive more into BTS/solo’s projects because their discography is very diverse. If you want more R&B music from BTS, my all-time favorites are Paradise by the group and My Time by Jungkook😁
Change was actually the the demo 👏🏾😂 he was drunk but it’s really goood over all he have 10 genres in indigo I didn’t know that he have all of this I him he so talented
While I get what you're saying with change pt2 I don't think we're the main reason. We play a part but not in the way you described. RM,out of all the members, is constantly attacked for nothing at all. His past mistakes are constantly brought up or if someone does something unrelated to him his name is always mentioned. 'But Namjoon' is a phrase we see often and one that he's also aware of.
I love your both midnight and Indigo album reaction....hope so you will react on jack in the box album....that is one of the amazing album this year as well...thank you for your reaction 💜
Thanks for the reaction! FYI Those people invading their personal lives are NOT ARMYs. Most of us are chewing out those fans who do that. Please dont stereotype us will all kpop fans. Thanks
I really like your reaction... you did a great job... well I really wish you could react to "jack in the box" also as BTS album "wings " or " love yourself: tear " the lyrics are important but you can also enjoy the music by itself thank you so much for the reaction .. hope you will continue
Hiii just wanna say u'r cute and i really enjoy ur reaction (the Midnights one too!! ) Plz react to anything you like although I'm an Army too xdd I'll watch whatever u react to :))
Love your reaction to Joon's album but I'd like to make a comment regarding the 'army being invasive' cause this fandom is big BIG and if you're really an army you'd know majority of us wants the boys to live normally. What you know and what you're seeing are not even 1/4 of what this fandom stands for so I'm sad that that is your impression.
Unfortunately, like every fandom, the rude/invasive/“crazy” fans are always the loudest, which is where my impression comes from. I know not ALL army are invasive, I’ve just seen what people say when there’s even things like RUMORS about one of the boys dating a particular girl from another group…if you know what I’m sayin
@@jacobreacts oh haha if youd know and are in the fandom, you can actually detect that those who are reacting about the dating rumors of the boys are people on the internet that pretends to be a fan of the boys on the purpose of reacting negatively. there's a lot of those. there are also called solo stans which they think they are protecting the boys but are actually just having a savior complex. both are not being recognized as army 😃
His comment was valid, he said "some fans", he wasn't generalizing. And you can include casual fans and even solos in the wide description of "fans", it's not necessarily ARMYs (who are big fans of their music and message) who are the problem. I think he made pretty clear that his comment was only referring to people who "go to far", not to everyone.
I’ve already listened to a lot of tracks on their own in a big playlist (to prepare me for the concert haha) but there’s definitely stuff I haven’t heard!
There is a lot of confusion about the meaning of kpop. It's an industry, not a genre. It infuses elements of hip hop, r&B or edm etc. . as genres, but kpop itself is not a style of music.

You’re so right!
11:57 that sound you hear is actually RM knocking on his wooden table, that's how he came up with the melody ☺

I do it both ways lol. I listen a few times over to interpret just by the sound but then later will dive into the lyrics and interpret it again…

18:10 actually RM said he was drunk when he recorded that song lol but I'm sure he was also a little angry.
Love the reaction!!! And yeah... RM is such a storyteller lyricist and proud with his penskills, his lyrics is so poetic.
Change was actually the the demo 👏🏾😂 he was drunk but it’s really goood over all

KPop is actually idol music. Not all Korean music is classified as KPop.
Good one👍Liked listening wu.
You totally understood the meaning of ‘Yun’ (pronounced yoon).
Re Change pt2 - the original Change was a collab song with Wale.
Ah yay, thank you!!

i laughed so loud when he realized kim siwol was female and the first part was sang by joon
All the things they said 😊
I love your both midnight and Indigo album reaction....hope so you will react on jack in the box album....that is one of the amazing album this year as well...thank you for your reaction 💜
Thank you!!!
Love RM and AP together. It’s a vibe!
I recommend checking out the MV for Wild flower and Still life too.
🔥🔥

He doesn't go by rap monster anymore. He said it's not him anymore
I would tune in if you do a BTS discography dive! That'd be fun
I’ve already listened to a lot of tracks on their own in a big playlist (to prepare me for the concert haha) but there’s definitely stuff I haven’t heard!
@@jacobreacts oh definitely, if you've heard every track from the ptd shows that's still not even 20% of the bts discography lol
