    Nice vid. It astounds me how a large number of community including high level pullers do non sensical measures of lifts or have such difficulty looking at someone else lift and trying to replicate it

    I started doing this in the middle of last year, both statically and low-weight high-volume pulses, and it has had incredible benefits toward strengthening my center table strength! I feel like this is the most important lift for me since my natural greatest strength is quite open and almost always puts me into the defensive posture on every tough match.

    I love this, what devon does is very specific to him and he started doing it after 25 years of competing, it is very specific to his open style. You are so right for most of armwrestler the key is to be tight at the center

    Quality notes Rob, picturing John pulling the way you said was actually exactly the way he does it every time on the table.
    Even I personally noticed lifting with my shoulder being aligned with my elbow and wrist felt more stable and stronger, not saying I'm a pro or anything but now I know why that is the case since you've broke it down.
    Appreciate it man that it also incorporates a lot more muscles in the back, rear delt and the pecs.
    Thanks for the good laughs also 9:20 😂

    Another great video dude. I was thinking about getting a longer belt today, and here you are talking and demonstrating with one. You also made a very valid point about the start off in a match, and how important it is. I think the most important things in arm wrestling is the post. How concrete is your elbow, how strong is your riser and grip. And how well you can lock your entire arm for the start off.

    • @RobVigeantRVJ
      @RobVigeantRVJ  5 месяцев назад +3

      Those are important if you apply it that way there’s always a yin for Yang and countermoves… But being solid and fundamentally sound, will take you very far

    • @DylanFowler

    For real though, you'll see guys trying to hit certain numbers on a particular lift, and just to make sure they hit that number they're aiming for they will completely change their form so it ends up not being a real test of strength gained. We should try to maintain the same form regardless of weight....but sometimes our ego gets in the way.

    Good video Rob. Just have to say, that don't feel obligated in revealing all your training to the community. Haters still like to watch you at the end of the day. Since also everyone is so concerned about how the athlete they follow trains without giving proper thought to training methods suitable for them. You like your analogies and stories. Presenting your training methods / ways of thought that way will at least get the hate watchers off their asses and make them work for that information by thinking and not feed those who just lazily pick up advice from their favourite armwrestler.
    On the other hand what pisses me off is when people are competing and go and rest in their corner and there's guys holding their hands and offering them advice on how to figure stuff out. Figure it out yourself. There are only 2 people armwrestling! Not to mention again that just might cloud your judgement on developing a better gameplan suitable you specifically.
