You just made a so so airplane become a wow...I gotta build one of these instead of another fighter plane. Thanks! ...and btw who are these thumbs down people? I'd like to see their work.
Watching your videos makes me want to get back into building model planes again. As a kid, I had an older friend who's ceiling was covered in model aircraft hanging from it...I was mesmerised. He got me my first model plane - a Consolidated PBY Catalina. He became a pilot who weas M.I.A...I'll never forget him, his love of planes nor him getting me hooked on them. His dad was in aviation and as a kid on long haul flights always got me to sit in the cockpit...not just in flight but take off and landings...this was the 70s and 80s ...not like today with all the heightened security. You have found yourself a new subscriber...I for one love your vids 👍 Thanks for building and sharing 🙏
Thank you very much, thank you for a story, you maybe should start modelling I came back to that hobby 4 years ago, have a look on my video I made a.year ago about my collection, lot change since but it can give you a brief look on my progress. Thanks again, hope.you come back to watch more soon !
@@ScaleHangar182 you're deffinitely welcome. I checked out your vids...I will work my way through them all hahahaha (ps It must take you just as long to edit the videos 😮😮😉👍) I'm into RCs but yes after seeing your vids, deff going to be getting back into model building 🤘
Excellent build all around. Built one a couple of years ago and had a difficult time getting some of the decals to settle with setting solution so wound up having to do more work in masking and painting some the insignias. After detailing with PE I left the top unglued to see the interior but was not happy with the small gap so glued the top on a year later. I have another in the box and for that build will probably open the doors and top hatch as you wisely did. Also liked the dust you used for weathering, looks great.
Great work....very nice shading and over all build. Built this kit and it now sits at the U.S.S. Lexington model exhibit in C.C. Texas........Worth the time to go see it. It displays over 450 + high quality models. 30 are mine alone
MrD53 I'm just coming back into the hobby after a long absence and your work is truly inspirational keep them coming I need to learn so much more and you certainly have the skills of a master of his craft.
I have this kit (unbuilt) . My plan was to light up the interior with LEDs . It lent itself to this because of so much "glass" ,flight deck and cabin area . Thank you .
Truly tricky but entertaining kit to build. The Ju-52, like most Luftwaffe aircraft at that time, equipped with all kinds of censoring devices and gadgets, so one needs to make sure not to lose them during the building process since the parts are small and fine detailed. Thumbs up and subscribed for this demo!
Absolutely astonishing work, mate. I could watch you weather for days. Your work "opening up" the model for a true ground display takes this from a 10/10 to a 20/10! Not to knock other outstanding modelers I've been watching, but planes sitting on the ground all buttoned up just isn't the same. :)
I was just given one of these as a gift, and it’s gonna be the first model I’ve built in at least 10 years and the first ever plane oh boy I might have to get a small flak cannon and some miniatures first just to get a feel for it before I start this again
. . . Epic build, my friend!!! What an easy-access air frame. Once the Luftwaffe strafing petered out on his US Army Air Corps supply base in Casablanca, Morocco, Dad would bolt down two Pratt & Whitney R-2600s into a C-46 and send hundreds as fighter/bomber replacements "Over the Himalaya Hump" to fight a real Empire in the CBI Theatre. Nothing like pressurization!!! Meanwhile, my Future-Mom-Also-in-the-Past worked on her end of the "problem" at Oak Ridge.
Amazing expertised model building! Looks awesome with all that detail. And great selection of music as well, could you send through the Playlist or additionally add it to the description?
Perhaps I do that, theres a lot to focus on during editing and it usually take 2 or 3 evening to put that all together and I just never think about giving info about music tracks
I've built this model and gotta say its one Revell's better models. You did an amazing job, especially all the outstanding weathering technique you use. I just can't believe you glue the top hull section to the main body! All that amazing detail hidden...
Last time I price-shopped for this plane in this scale, I nearly passed out. Way too high for something that should have been issued so many times already! This is such a globally-recognized airplane - someone really needs to issue it with new moldings. Someone who's made a comeback in recent years with really nice multi-engine ww2 aircraft. ICM ... I'm looking at you!
Very nice. All I could think about was the opening credits to the movie "Battle of Britain" solely due to the JU-52. I feel like its an under appreciated aircraft.
Very nice build man^^ I kinda want to get a few now and build them as well. I have been really enjoying your builds as of late here^^ I am actually kinda hoping to start making my own videos as well at some point^^
I tried building one of these beasts when I was a kid. The painting was an absolute nightmare, thanks to the capillary action of the corrugated skin. It was a streaky mess. Guess I should have had an airbrush :D
@@ScaleHangar182 I don't make models anymore. I was never good enough at it to warrant the expense. These days I just watch people who know how to do it properly :D
@@ScaleHangar182 Yeah same here and I built some really crappy models as a kid as I was just wanting to play with them. Now I take forever building cause I enjoy it. I am so happy I got back into the hobby about 7 years ago now.
I really don't know why some modelers use to paint models with matt paint, aply glow varnish, decals and, finally, a matt varnish. It's insane. I ever use glow paint, aply the decals and a final coat with matt or semi glow varnish. It's much more simple and the results more satisfatory
Truly great build mate. I built one a couple of years ago and entered it into a model show here in Canada. It won first place in its category. You can see it if you search Heritagecon 12 at the 48:50 mark. I thoroughly enjoyed building it out of the box, lots of internal detail. One thing I did notice was when you built the main cabin, you assembled the frame structure before installing the windows. How did you achieve this? My model had windows that came on a strip. I had to assemble them first, then mask and paint the interior before assembling the frame. I'm curious as to how you went about doing yours because I plan to build another in the not too distant future. Again, awesome builds mate, really love watching, (and learning from), your videos. Keep it up.

It’s a good kit to say it’s from 1998/99.

Wunderbar! Eine einwandfreie Arbeit. Großartiger Realismus!
Wow, it looks BIG! I built a 1/48 scale C-47 and it’s very big. This Ju-52 looks bigger! Good job! 👍
Very impressiv build of a piece of history.
Thanks for making this video, excellent. Was surprised that no one posted a build video for the Ju52.
Really?🤔 thanks!
