I just got back into modelling after 30yrs in my career and, knowing things had changed since I was 10 (53 now), I asked at a hobby store what I might need to get back into it... staff was super helpful, but then this older guy (who had a TON of experience, to his credit) started bombarding me with ‘you need this and this and you need to do this and that...’ I was ‘whoa dude, I just want to build BASIC, clean kits until I’m comfortable!’
My advice to beginners is to start basic - stick with what you’re comfortable, and you’ll know when you’re ready to move to the next level... by then, you’ll have almost all the supplies and tools you’ll need, and you’ll understand how all the washes, filters and whatnot interact to enhance your builds and your satisfaction!

Get a kit and join the party friend. I have been in the hobby since my early teens. It is my second love after my wife and kids. It has helped me during death and all kinds of issues and occurrences in my life. I have learned about the world and its people via this wonderful hobby. It has enriched my life greatly.
@@jerseywalcott6408 I used to make aircraft kits (badly) back in the late 60s- early 70s. My father used to relax after work by building the WW1 & 2 fighting vehicles (tanks etc) he got to the stage of building his own versions of the tanks/trucks that existed in real life but not in kit form, he would take the kit that had the basic cab, chassis etc (Airfix RAF Refuelling kit was a big favourite) and either take the other bits from other kits or fabricate the required parts from sheet plastic, when he died I inherited a few hundred standard kits and just as many that he had produced as really excellent one-offs. I have little interest in them so they are carefully boxed in the loft.

I can imagine the painters of the real planes with air paint guns swirling green paint like that.
This came up as a recommendation and I instantly remembered building a He111 with my Dad when I was a kid - probably 15-20 years ago. This took me back!

What a great kit, made magnificently as always, these new Revell kit's are world's apart, definitely going to get this one, and it's even got my initials.

Don't sell yourself short. It just take some knowledge of technique (which this video provides) and some patience. Don't force anything, and most importantly remember that every mistake is fixable.
Except maybe cracking a clear part. But everything else is.

After watching this and your previous videos, let me express my admiration over your control of Revell contacta glue! When I try to squeeze the damn thing, half of it comes out usually flooding everything. :D And oh yeah, great model! That paintjob..., I'm speechless!

the paintjob is SICK and the glass finishing just as much .. wow.. pretty spot on. they all need to go in their own glass box sealed and protected

Revell has really stepped up their game in terms of detail. Great kit
Actually, is a rebox of the ICM He-111 H-6...a lot of last "new releases" of revell are reboxing of another kits of other brands and I think that's bad, because the price of revell is to high for a kit that they don't design and produce.
Mauricio CS They price of the rebox is usually significantly lower than the original kit. Look at the price of the ICM King Tiger and then the Revell rebox. It’s around a $15 difference
@@jamessteale805 anyway it's expensive (at least here in my country), what I mean, for the price of revell kits, they should design and improve new model kits, but they don't do that.
@@mauriciocs9858 Try their new Bristol Beaufighter TFX kit in 1/48 - it is all Revell, no rebox. And it is a great kit!
@@brettpeacock9116 I saw Dusan build one, it's an awesome kit for sure, but the question is why revell didn't design this he111 like the beaufighter? Of course if they focus on details and quality they can do a better kit than ICM...

yes, but really the He 111 was designed in 1930 (befor the WW2) as a fast civil Plane for 2 Crew-Members and 10 Passengers (i think).
