Kits have came a long way since I last built one. Even though you had to make quite a few adjustments to it, I still think it is a lovely kit just from watching, thanks.
Very nice start...wish I had seen this last year when I built the same kit. You were right to protect the tailwheel strut....I didn't and broke mine three times! Revell kits of this age are troublesome, both in the detail and those instructions need to be revised big time.
Great model Greg, Revell models were always something I'd tried to avoid but it's good to see one with recessed panel lines for a change. I applaud your skills and patience, once again you've done an amazing job. Best wishes to you for the house move , I know it can get very stressful but not as stressful as making a Revell model kit.
I prefer larger scale models myself. The reason in my case is simple; I have MS and my manual dexterity has diminished. If I tried to build a 1/72 scale, it would be an exercise in frustration and despair. Plus bigger is better!
Perhaps Border Models will make a 1/35 HE111 to go with their 1/35 scale Stuka, Bf109 and new FW190. It makes sense for companies to make 1/35 planes to go 1/35 scale military miatures which is a huge industry. Military modelers gave up on 1/32 tanks decades ago and 1/32 airplanes are strange looking in a diorama with 1/35 vehicles and soldiers. Tamiya introduced 1/48 range of military models to go with their 1/48 airplane kits a couple of decades ago and has met with great success.
Damn, Greg, for a moment I thought you were doing the 1/72 He111 (revell 04315). I got all excited and knew you were going to motivate me to tackle that old b***h after all. I'v been dreading it and its raised panel lines for so long, but enough about me ! I've seen this vid for only 01:51 and I know I'm not going to regret the rest of it. You are the downest ;-) to earth when it comes to old kits and their peculiarities.
I love all of these enormous models you build (I've never been interested in 1/32 until seeing your vids), but I have to ask where how you display and store them? A video showing your finished collection would be a delight to see.
Great video, as ever - I love these large scale 'planes, (the first video of yours I saw was the 1/24th scale Stuka). But one question, when was this nice weather? Must have missed that! I've obviously spent too much time indoors sticking bits of plastic together to notice ! 😀
Liked the coverage of mold punch outs with plasticard...never would've thought of that. And the bomb finishing.
Great build. Thanks for all the time filming and editing to share with us.

Yours are amongst my favourite RUclips vids.
Cheers😎
Fantastic Greg!! Tremendous work, as always!! Now onto part 2... bonus!!
👍😂
Looking fantastic! Some lovely touches there.

Superb attention to detail and technique, as always.
Always enjoy your builds, well worth waiting for ,now on with part 2
I appreciate your videos, masterfully done as always. Greetings from Canada :)
Great video as usual. The larger scales are the way to go Greg 👌

It's a nightmare, a long one😂
I like big kits too! Unfortunately, I don't have a big house to display them so extremely rarely do them. Thank you for sharing!
Love your video's Greg! Just ordered a beagle basset lol .Gordon north ayrshire
Great build!

👍😎
Big scale for me because my eyesight isn't as sharp these days, old age, and poverty I blame. Lovely build as usual Greg, keep them coming.
Those 3d details make a big difference, nice results so far.
I'll use them when ever I can in future.
Lovely workflow Greg 👌
Thank you👍
Very enjoyable build..
Salud!

Seems to me it would have been easier to buy a decent kit in the first place, and probably cheaper. To be fair you did a great job with it
Oi, hang on a minute here....where's legendary wave? 👋🏻😉😆😂
Looking forward to watch this one Greg! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Laughs....dammit
Junkers Ju 88 and Heinkel He 111 in 1/32, what we need for them to do now, is a Dornier Do-17/217, right?
Looks fantastic Greg!
Me too. Can't wait.
I look forward to the sequel.
It's up now!

The 3d decals really add to the build Greg . Regards Gav .
They're the future Gav, I've decided. Long live 3D 😂
Finding the larger scale military stuff, especially the wwii german, much more enjoyable and interesting, 🏆👍, all are enjoyable 😊

They're all sealed in homemade foamboard boxes. It's easier for storage, keeps them fresh and dust free. I'm not one for displaying models.
@@GregsModels well that simplifies things
Greg has returned to monke

That's the Isle of Wight, it has its own weather😂
David Brent approves. 😂
Keep up being a child! =)
THANK you for your inspiration!
You can count on it😁
LOL at the bomb jokes!
Willy Nilly? Is he the pilot? Love the 3D decals - just starting on an FGR2 so may get some ordered... Nice work!
Hans Willy Nilly👍
At last - an unstarted kit I have in my stash - give it large Greg!
😂
brilliant idea to rub the knobs i mean bombs
I build him about 3 years ago and the 1.48
But the 1.48 is a little bit better 😉
Enjoy it it's still a great kit
And building the Ju88 1.32 right now
but who knows were all rivets and panel lines are. this i is overkill but well done!
No more hand wave at every beginning 😞 looking forward to part 2
It may come back?
Yes, it's a pity that there are no rivets! The embroidery is excellent, but the riveting, its absence, hurts the eye!
that kit is as expensive as a flying one of that type i guess?
Nur ein Kommentar zum Algorithmus
Monkey 😂😂😂😂
bought this in march 2000 for 20$. spend 3 hours with it and just threw it away. then i build a tamiya 1:48 P-51. from a total shitshow to joy
