Building a Bathroom Vanity

- We recently had the master bathroom remodeled and needed a new, double sink vanity. Due to the project schedule, I needed to build it in 8 days (while working a real job). This is what I came up with.

Very nicely done. Most YT vids are single vanity; nice to see a double
Very nicely done. It's always interesting to me to see how people do cabinets different. There are so many different styles and ways to do it.
Great work Pat. You’re a gifted artist!
Great work, and great problem solving. Thanks for posting - thumbs up!
Pretty amazing work, dude! Beautiful vanity! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Really enjoyed this, glad to see you doing some more inspiring joinery
I would love to have this one in my Bathroom. Great work🙂
Thanks!
Beautiful work
That looks awesome 😊
Clean job!
Nice work!
Ever try traditional inset door hinges? I think you would like them.
Beautiful work!
Thank you!
Very nice!
That beautiful
Very nice job. Do you have plans for your cabinet.
Holy guacamole, Batman / this is great!
Nice job! Can I put it on top of the LVP flooring and screw it to the wall? I'm looking at doing one with legs on it and I just put down the new floor.
That was exactly what I did.
How did you build your JessEm rig for your SawStop? I see your using the magnets to hold it down onto the SawStop. But what did you use or buy to make the mount to hold the track, etc for the JessEm?
It’s just a piece of maple that I painted black, with two mag switch’s.
@@catspawcustoms ahhh nice. I am going to have to copy your setup
How would you modify building the vanity if the plumbing comes from the floor instead of the wall?
Take it into account in the design and have holes in the bottom or leave that part open instead of the back.
@@catspawcustoms Thank you! We wanted to purchase a vanity, but none we found (that we liked) accommodate floor plumbing.
Did you pre-mill this wood? That is my struggle need to save up to get a jointer.
Yeah, this all started out as 4/4 rough from the lumber mill and I milled to 3/4 s4s
@@catspawcustoms Did you do it on the table top jointer?
@@garrettp.5018 no, too small. This was edge jointed with a tracksaw. Not the best solution but good enough.
@@catspawcustoms That is edge jointed. What about the face jointing? Do you buy the boards flat from the lumber source?
@@garrettp.5018 faces didn’t need it, pretty flat from the mill so thickness planning was enough.
What is your preferred joinery method for face frames?
If I’m feeling really nuts, half lap, otherwise dominos. Pocket screws are fine, but they can make some woods split depending on the thickness, etc…
Nice! It’s very common to make them with pocket holes.
Pink Floyd would be proud!
