Hey Greg, if you're reading these lines, I want to thank you so much for all the amazing sounds you gave us at night in this great City with. I will forever miss those fabulous days (Duke, "So In Love With You". Remember? Ciao caro).
I am so sad that I never went to Sound Factory with Junior. I was in NYC in 93 and went to the Roxy. When I left at 3AM, someone asked me if I was going to S.F. I was from Denver visiting and was like, this late? And took a cab home. One of my biggest regrets!!!!! Glad I got to experience him at Tunnel and Palladium. He was the best DJ I have ever heard -- to this day.
I caught the last year of Sound Factory. I can’t even imagine how incredible it was in 1991 or 1992.
Junior, the one and only. Used to follow him everywhere he played. Sound Factory on 29th and 10th in 1994, the tunnel in ‘95… a legend!
This used to be my house... I worked with the club for years on promotions and events... the music wad undescribable, the energy like nothing I've experienced to this day... we'd literally dance for hours... walk out the factory house drenched... we'd get there at 2am and dance till 12pm the next day... there's a reason why they called it a factory...

Right on my friend and thank you for sharing. My nightlife past is unique. Born in Paris France with grandparents in Ibiza and my uncle deep in the early pioneer years of Ku and Amnesia. I was about 12 on my vespa and royal. The 1990s and my Dallas warehouse is when I connected with Richie Rich, Michael Alig and Peter Gatien. Limelight and Tunnels (sweet Mother of God) both making my all time top fives. Landing them down to Dallas as part of many undergrounds, Christopher Comp, Astro Erle, Desi Monster, James St. James and Michael Alig played a clear role for Dallas connecting west coast & east coast.
I was 15 and used to follow Jr. around to the clubs taking the bus from Jersey into the city, it was very cheap and I could go back home at 6am on the first bus out and pass out. BEST OF TIMES!
When teens were more adventurous,don’t see that happening now a days ,I also snuck into clubs at 14 😮Different times

Jr made every night magical, one of the best to do it. If you weren’t there you will never know the feeling.
I TRIED, they wouldn't let me in, i know Exactly what it was, i didn't "LOOK" like that crowd did, they couldn't tell i was a Deep Deep House Music Lover. But don't feel sorry for me, i caught TIMMY REGISFORD ,JOE CLAUSSELL & LITTLE LOUIE VEGA at their Best. So i did get that EARLY MORNING AFTER HOURS NEW YORK PARTY FEELING. I tried twice, and when it turned into TWILO, i went to that twice but people were telling me i missed it , it wasn't no where's as good as SF with JUNIOR.
that can be juniors chillren. and were very competitive with other djs. forget saying you live jr AND danny. i was let in roxy i assume because i was skinny. and 22. a week later i went back. and im like this is a roller rink? black clubs showed a lot of love same wit crash in queens. @@johnpetty3574

As a 14 year old music lover and budding DJ in the mid 90s in Liverpool UK, I was always looking and listening out for the best that was around, I thought I had heard the best and then I some how heard this set, can’t remember if it was on radio one or I got hold of a cassette but when I heard it I knew then that junior Vasquez was the best DJ in the world, between 91 and 95 he was the greatest DJ on the planet

Sound Factory had a really authentic unique vibe I was enthralled by as a teen in 1990. Junior was a huge factor in that atmosphere. The only space to create that true underground feel was Studio 54 w/Little Louie Vega.
Odd memory: Richard the owner, always welcoming everyone on their way in, always so pleasant….& the massive throbbing sound system (that never got fatiguing).
Big warehouse, no liquor license (none needed…ehem….never mind 🙄), water bottles & complimentary bowls of fruit on the bar.
Every week I thought “right now, this is undoubtedly the coolest place on Earth”.
And when Junior was playing “X” (not released yet, I didn’t know what it was)…but I remember thinking “this track is the epitome of the vibe of this club”
I felt so lucky ❤
I lived on W23 btwn 9 & 10 during these years. I was cooking and waiting tables all at once; I would love when I would roll home after a long night as see you all spill out onto the streets. Glorious.

If I dig for this 2x cd and find it I will post the track listing. What an amazing experience. 31 and living in Chelsea when it was so sketchy. Hangovers a La Luncheonette. I lived in London Terrace and Blondie lived a lot more floors up than I did. My parents rolled through once and just looked at me. I said nothing. Will never trade those days.
Lol but London Terrace is nice,we use to use the long passage from 9av to 10 av in the winter,we just said hello to the doorman ,no way they would let us do that today😂

Got to see India live too but a few years earlier, she did “I Can’t Get no Sleep” which was wild. We were either at Red Zone or Roxy (?) Atm I just can’t remember

Arena @ Palladium was something else !! dancing on the dancefloor just before lunchtime! the only afterhours in NYC that lasted that long!! he dropped "if Madonna Calls im not here!" hilarious!
Yes! I remember. I have never experienced anything like Tunnel and Palladium. I’ll never experience that again in this lifetime. It was spiritual.

@@staz8999 nothing could compare Clubbing in NYC from 85-99 so many magical places and parties,I was also out partying most days except Tuesday which was the lamest night for parties😂Thank god .All just listening and dancing not really into any thing but some drinks.
