🤔He was in jail for more years than his attorney has been alive. Just think about his path to freedom....It took his attorney’s parents to meet, marry and procreate...it took the birth of his attorney...his attorney’s destiny to become a lawyer...and to save this man’s life!! Amazing.

Yeah it’s strange and quite enlightening to think of it that way. It’s incredibly sad that he had all that time taken from him. The racist cops will never face true justice though.

The graciousness of Ricky Jackson falsely accused towards a witness coerced and manipulated at 12 years of age, he had this to say.
Reporter: What are your thoughts about the people who got you here in the first place 39 years ago, the people who said you did it when you didn't?
Ricky Jackson: I guess that a lot of people would want me to hate that person and to carry animosity towards them but I don't. You know, people have to remember that they see him as a grown man today but in '75 he was a 12 year old kid. And he was manipulated and coerced by the police you know and they used him. They used him to get us in prison. So as far as that young man is concerned, I wish him the best. I don't hate him. I just wish that he has a good life and it took a lot of courage to do what he did in that court room. You guys didn't see his testimony, hear his testimony but it took a lot of courage for him to do what he did. They tried to break him. They tried to screw him up but at the end he always said the same basic thing, 'They didn't do it. I lied.' And that took a lot of courage for him. He'd been carrying a burden around for 39 years like we had but in the end he came through and I'm grateful for that.
The authorities are the perpetrator of this injustice. Ricky is a man I can only respect.

The state of ohio and the federal government should aggressively pursue and press charges against those sworn officials that used illegal methods and broke all manner of laws in setting this man up and sending him to prison with a capital charge that otherwise would have meant his death at the hands of the state.

Amen.. for sure. If I find myself uttering the words "I didnt know what the sky looked like.." that's a show of how truly depraved the 'corrections' system is.
I tend to believe that money isnt a fix for much of this and often get tired of hearing people say "get paid" when found to be exonerated of false accusations made against them, because my basic belief is that "getting paid" is not the fundamental cure for a thing that should not be happening anyhow.. But in this fellows case, pay him plenty so that he can live just as you stated.
A fun and comfort filled high-life. Leave the continental U.S and chase the sun and sky.go see the world. There are many other enchanting, fun and beautiful places in the world to see. he should spend time basking in the sun and blue skies in as many of them as he can. Monaco sounds like a great place to start..or finish.

The adverserial system has huge flaws. Various inquirial systems work to overcome these flaws. Combined with a rehabiltion system replacing the penal system, jurisdictions taking this approach see very low and recidivism rates.

So many years lost! Hope he won't be dissapointed about how the world now has changed. How could this happen!? 😢Shows that this is a good man! Polite, humble, real... Hope he finds a real good woman he can have children with, if he wants... And good friends and that he gets enough money from the state, to be safe and wealthy the rest of hes life! He looks very handsome and young for hes age, not that that's what matters, but I had to say... 😉🙃! Also hope if he's looking for a girlfriend ( or boyfriend, if gay, who knows), that he finds a cind, real good person, not a gold digger! This man have been through enough.. He desurves to be happy and not dissapointed again! Glad that witness finally came forward! He should have years and years ago! Had he not been sick, scared of Gods judgment, would he ever have came clean..??! Late is better than never, but he almohst got blood on hes hands, had he been executed... I hope he and the state now do the right thing and say sorry, and do what they can to get those other inosent men in prizon out, too! And someone help teach him data and everything he needs in this days... How he's helped and supported now, mens everything about how hes life out becomes, so go say hi and invite him to dinners, football games and fun things and in an healthy invirement without drinking and drugs, becaus if others arround him always drinks or whatever else... it's too esy for him to be polite and follow and he, for sure, desurves a good life now, free from habits that can mess up or make he's new life too hard... Wish him all the best ❤🍀❤🍀❤🍀😘and thank you sooo much to everyone that worked so hard to get him out! Espeshally hes lawyer! This story touched my heart! 🌠🍀❤💖😙
