Gorgeous photos, Pav- now I want it! I recently bought the Tamron 28-200 for my a7c and that lens has impressed me way more than I was expecting. I also have the other two thirds of the Tamron trilogy. No complaints.
28-200 is an excellent lens too!
I have reviewed it awhile back
Great review. Love the photos you've taken.
Thank you very much
I am in love with This lens and you made me love it more, it is such a magical lens, may be one day i buy it ❤️
You should!
I have that lens and use it for all sorts of things. I use it for event photography, portraits, even for indoor events where it is a large space. Would buy it again if needed. Also have the Tamron 28-75 f2.8 G2 lens, so as you said, a nice companion. I also use my Sigma 85mm f1.4 for portraits and indoor events. For traveling, I really pack light most times and use the Tamron 24mm f2.8, Sigma 65mm f2 and Sigma 90mm f2.8. Did have the Sony 20mm f1.8 but I so seldom use wide angle lenses, that the Tamron would be just as sharp, but a slower lens with more barrow distortion. But the rare times I would use a wide angle lens, it is handy.
Świetne zdjęcia:) Pozdrawiam z Polski!
Dzieki!
Stunding photos i'm glad i will get one
thanks!
I'm working on a review of the newer version right now. Even better
I have to correct you on one thing, this lens does not have any lens stabilization.
you are absolutely correct - my mistake
Man!!!
Who is the beautiful model who seems to be in about every-other shot? Super photogenic! After this test-shot did u purchase this lens? If so, have u used it with a Sony apsc camera? If so, which one? Any video of apsc and this lens? 😎😎
She is a friend of mine.
I never used this lens on aps-c camera. Sorry
Nice Shots, but the lens does not have built-in stabilization. ;)
my mistake - it so good that it feel like it has got it 😉
That's true but my camera has built in stabilization, plus, I just raise the shutter speed a bit and everything comes out nice and sharp.
@@martin9410 I have successfully shot super steady video at 180mm hand held with it - those shots are in my video. Camera's IBIS does excellent job with this lens (a7IV)
@@PavSZ I agree totally...and it's a truly great lens. I actually like it better than the 35-150. The latter lens is much heavier and though it eliminates the need for two lenses, at the same time, you lose on both ends (wide and telephoto). At events, I mostly use the 28-75 and 70-180 and that covers all my needs.
please make a review version 2 70-180 mm tamron
I will be making that video soon
Nice photography jacket. What brand is it?
it's just a jacket. I think I got it from a Supermarket here in UK
#Pavinthewoods! Is that the a74 your filming the talking portion with?
haha! yes it was all shot with a7IV
Thx. Great Video, love your work!
Much appreciated! Thanks!
Would you recommend the tamron over the Sony 70 200 f4? I won't miss the extra 20mm that the Sony offers
I'd personally prefer Tamron out of these two
to take photos at night, stars, moon, etc... ¿did you try yet or not?
no - 180mm is not really long enough focal length for moon photos
35-150 or 70-180 which one would you pick up… would you suggest…
35-150 is more versatile but also heavier and more expensive
Is there is a problem with ..dirt? (dust)As some pointing out about this?
I'm not aware of any dust issues with this lens
@@PavSZ Thanks.
Did you know in 70mm mode manual you get supermacro to 10 cms the distance with the object
that's not right. The minimum focusing distance of this lens at all focal lengths is 85cm
www.tamron.eu/en-GB/p/d807b3ac-2f36-4d86-ba19-ef2134144e0e/70-180mm-f28-di-iii-vxd
@@PavSZ Do the test in manual mode and then tell me, I have it!
70mm in manual mode so you have to try it
@@MultimediaOficial are you measuring from the end of the lens? the lens is longer than 10cm and you should supposed to measure from the sensor.
Manually focusing it does focus at 27cm throughout the full zoom range for me
@@PavSZ ok friend if the measurement is from the sensor to the object if it is 27 cms, that is correct, greetings
Doesnt sony own tamron ? Or provide glass or something for tamron ? I think thats why its 70-180 and not 70-200. So it doesnt "replace" sonys 70-200.
Just a thought....... I have this lens and its a freaking beast !
Thank you for another good video
i so want to buy it, but afraid of the dust that could potentially go in. did you have any trouble with it ? i only do landscape and wildlife. So im leaning more towards the new sony lenses. they eat a big chunk out of the bank account tho
I never heard of dust getting into TAMRON lenses. Very unusual
Great review , new subscriber 🤙🏻
Thank you very much!
I was going to get this lens, then had an opportunity to purchase the 50 GM… I probably should of gone with the tamron.
different lens all together but 50mm GM is a very good lens too
Had it, it's quite nice, fast focusing. It has some distortion in at least one of the sides of the zoom (don't recall if the 70 or 180), and it's sharp, but in one side of the zoom (again, don't know in which, the corner sharpness is ok but not stellar).
I traded it in for a Tamron 35-150 f/2-2.8, which is brilliant, larger and better built, and with more physical controls.
There is no similar lens in this form factor, in any system. I'd buy this lens in a heartbeat if they offered it for L-Mount. It is a must-have range, and the L-Mount lacks anything in the 800 gram range for this focal range and f-stop
yes. I'd love to see it in L-mount in the future
"Minimal focusing dystans is 85cm"?
What You talking about image stabilization?
Something goes wrong. I got wrong information, or You talking about different lense.
This lense don't have any stabilisation, and minimal Focus is 27cm.
the minimal focusing distance is 85cm auto focusing across the zoom range - that is correct (www.tamron.eu/en-GB/p/d807b3ac-2f36-4d86-ba19-ef2134144e0e/70-180mm-f28-di-iii-vxd)
27cm in MF at 70mm
No stabilisation - I've made a mistake with that, it happens.
This lens is not stabilised.
you right - my mistake. a7IV's IBIS does excellent job with it though
