In college i read a study on soilders. The study said certain people will Just gravitate towards danger ⚠️ no matter what. Like they are just hard wired that way.
The study also talked about how military recruiters will go to college campuses with rock walls, just to attract those kind of people. People who will see a rock wall and drop everything just to go climb it.
I thought the study was a little far fetched until I saw it play out in real life.
A female student and I were at career event at college and she “decided” to try climbing the army rock wall in heels. 👠
About a month later she ended up going through the formal enlistment process and went full time military.
So I do think that some people are just born to do be a soilder

I think it’s different from an operators perspective versus your general grunt. An operator got to chose the parameters of their engagement for the most part where a general grunt just walked around waiting to be shot at or blown up. One was in control of the conflict while the other due to ROEs was just a reactionary target.

Yea but I would say there will still be the constants of regardless of your role
loss, traumatic experiences, regrettable decisions, potential damage to your relationships, mistakes/decisions that cost others lives
Some guys have the make up to handle it and some guys don’t and that’s both directions up or down the hierarchy from an street Paramedic to a JSOC guy

This is exactly where they think a lot of trauma comes from within the lower general ranks/duties..

Has to be in the dna. You can see it in them

Might be something to it. As they say: “nothing can make you feel anything.” And “nothing is good or bad but thinking makes it so”.

Your actions have consequences. Good or bad has to do with how effect other humans

I didn't say they didn't. It's just the position of psychology that you choose how you respond whether consciously or unconsciously. You'll agree that you're responsible for your actions, right? This is why. By no means am I saying, "Act how you want," I'm saying, "No matter how others act, it's up to you how you respond." I haven't fully mastered my feelings but I know it's possible to make headway in this regard if you want to.@@heinz57channel39
