There seems to be several new cases every week these days. Where is the "woke" outrage that occurred during the "me too" era? They seem oddly silent. Double standard or something more nefarious?

That's because it's a contrast to what we typically see from male child predators. Male child predators are typically single, but female child predators are typically in committed relationships. It's unexpected, and it makes it more odd. Also, cheating on top of child predation? We're trying to make clear how morally bankrupt these people are, so why wouldn't we emphasize that she's also a cheater.

Doing other jobs because they are abused and severely underpaid. The powers that be do not want a well educated populace, and unless we change that, it will get worse.
It gets clicks. There's more reporting and less ignoring/tolerating.
Real teachers are walking out on the field on a daily basis because Teaching doesn’t pay very well at the grade school levels. When there are more teaching jobs available than teachers willing to apply for those jobs then the standards for hiring becomes lax so the teaching spots are easier to fill so more and more pdf files are entering the teaching field because for them there are benefits that includes 1 on 1 access to children.
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH ALL OF THESE FEMALE TEACHERS????? Even when male teachers were the stereotype it NEVER happened THIS much!

Could mean a number of things, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorders, autism spectrum, or developmental disorders. Nevertheless, she is not only accused of taking advantage of a minor who is considered more at risk due to neurological or mental disorders but to go as far as exploiting the individual on the internet.

It has been really eye opening over the past year how many women also abuse children. It’s not like I thought it never happened. But I had no idea how often. It’s heartbreaking and infuriating.

If they would start following the sentencing guidelines like they do for men, it would probably be enough. Right now, they are just giving them all probation, and that probably has a lot to do with how common it is.

As a young woman who will be having a family soon, I am seriously considering home schooling. I can’t imagine putting my trust in these strangers. This isn’t just a one time rare offense. These cases keep popping up and it’s absolutely sick. We are a child’s first line of defense. How is this happening? Why aren’t the schools monitoring this stuff?? I pray for my young sister and my future children.

There was a history teacher in my high school that was in his mid 20s and all the girls thought he was the "hot" teacher. I watched girls shamelessly flirt with him and he always laughed it off and redirected back to the class discussion. I was a TA in his class and he was always a teacher that I looked up to since he really cared about his job and he made the class fun with his teaching tactics.
A few years ago, he sent me a friend request on FB. I accepted and he sent me a message on messenger asking about my life since high school. But after a few messages, he started getting flirty and asked if I wanted to meet up to hang out and go out to dinner. I was really taken aback. Yes, I am in my early 30s now but I will always look at him as my teacher and a parental figure. There was zero speculation about him being inappropriate with girls during his teaching years but even as the years passed and we connected as now BOTH adults, I still envision myself as that 16 year old girl who was in his class and looked up to him. I never once considered that he thought that student/teacher relationship would ever be morw than that in the future.
TBH, I was extremely disappointed that he crossed that line a few years back by asking me out. It made me feel let down and icky even though he didn't technically anything illegal.
