In front of other teachers? With Special Needs children? How many other teachers are doing the same thing? In how many schools?
My guess? everywhere. Special needs students are usually the most vulnerable since they have a hard time speaking up.

I'm 100% on the teacher's side. Having to work with children that age is tough because they're maturing. I remember EXACTLY that age. Teachers definitely witnessed first hand our "awakening" to a lot. First of all, it was the students bringing up the topics of discussion. She even said it was the boy who asked HER how to get rid of his "wood." These are the kinds of things teachers have to deal with at this age, and because she was young the kids felt comfortable asking her about such things. Second, the teacher said she was single and talking to another teacher. None of the students said she was coming onto them. Nothing said suggests any grooming whatsoever. So why would she touch this girl inappropriately when she hasn't once exhibited any attraction to any student? This was either an overreaction or a lie, and I don't believe the guest saying there's video of her doing what he describes.
Wow, this comment is appalling. This teacher should have NEVER even mentioned she was seeing another teacher to students. If you have students asking you inappropriate questions you don't answer them or change the subject. She should have never talked about cutting pictures of penises out with any child. She should have NEVER even joked about slumber parties with students. She definitely should have not asked for her student's numbers. There is no need for that info as if there is any important topic to discuss there are technologies with schools to assist in that. If the Autistic boy was asking a question about that she should have immediately stopped the tutoring or gone to the parents with this. Teachers should ALWAYS set and have CLEAR boundaries, its part of their training. I don't care the age of that educator, you set and maintain boundaries to prevent even the appearance of impropriety.

Parents; stop being friends and stop socializing with your childrens teachers! I know it’s most def not a guarantee of your children ever being molested, but seriously!

Major props to these parents for refusing to back down in their defence of their child. Whatever trauma this incident caused, at least this girl knows her parents will fight for her.
Interesting thing I noticed - many of these teachers accused of abusing their students seem to have a kind of Peter Pan syndrome - they treat the students like peers. It's like they have arrested development, and stayed teenagers mentally. I'm sure a psychologist could explain why, but it's interesting to see it repeatedly in these types of cases. It should be a major red flag. Of course teenagers want to be grown up, but the opposite should never be true of a well-adjusted adult.

I never thought I would say this, but my Son's have been out of high school for over a decade now and I was disgusted with the direction our schools were going then, but I never would have homeschooled because I felt they the interaction with others was important. My thoughts have changed the further I have seen our schools sink and today I would probably be homeschooling. I'm beyond disgusted with our education system.
I homeschooled my daughters, and social interaction very much happened with both of them. They took classes with other kids a couple times a week, were involved in extra-curricular activities, etc. They're adults now, and both really appreciate their education. I taught them to think for themselves.

I babysat and did housekeeping for one of my teachers in junior high. She never touched me inappropriately.

The justice system in the us is bs and full of double standards.
Because of MEN. They allow it and even create such laws.
First of all, if it was a man that touched the female inappropriately and having these types of conversations, he would be in jail, not just getting a citation (yes I know, she COULD still get jail time).
Second, she says the school is just out to get her in trouble. NO! In fact, it seems like just the opposite. The school allowed conversation like that to happen in front of other teachers and just brushed off the allegations about what she was discussing in classes with her students.
With all the allegations and even video, why does it seem like the school is not even reacting.
Maybe they saw the video? We haven't so we have very little to go on. Everyone is automatically going against the teacher, but the evidence we have just says we need more evidence. If she did what she demonstrated, then she certainly didn't touch her breasts. They aren't up there. Would it still be inappropriate to have touched the child? I think it depends on the circumstances. If she was trying to stop the child from doing something wrong or dangerous, then it would be OK. If she was being threatening to the child or pushing her for no reason, then it would be wrong.
People are so quick to villify. We need more information.
That teacher thought she could do it in the open and get away with it no telling what else she has done behind the scenes and how long she has been doing things like this.

Now that I understand how the superintendent and the police are obviously covering up for Jenna, it all becomes clear just who is involved in a deeper problem -perhaps either swing parties, or child trafficking.
