I was pretty Neutral about most villagers until two villagers plunked their houses on my rare hybrid flowers. Pietro, and Charlese. Forever enemies.

I hate Charlese. They’re just that one useless villager that is a moldy green booger gummy bear that does annoying stuff and doesn’t even help. Rudy is bad too. All he does is talk about abs and muscles.

some of the villagers in this game make me wanna learn bout the thought process into creating villagers. like who honestly looked at harry & was like “yep people’ll want this in their towns!” like tammi rhonda (i love her btw) even bubbles & naomi i see the appeal in but there’s NO redeemin qualities bout most the hippos & gorillas

@@radioactivevolt yea i guess so. when making the 1st game appeal & design wasnt their priority. people also might have connections to these “uglies” from previous games so taking them out just for aesthetics would make people upset. did NOT make that comment w/ the previous games in mind lol

Rocket was my first villager to move into my New Leaf town. Back then I wasn't aware of personalities, so I absolutely adored Rocket (sisterly) for being so kind and giving me a medicine whenever wasps stung me 😭
I used to love bubbles, she used to be my girl but omg she would not stop getting into fights with other villagers and she WILL NOT LEAVE ITS BEEN OVER A YEAR IVE HAD HER !! SHE NEEDS TO LEAVE!
Sound like what I went through with kitty and Ursula. Let's just say they would tag team and bully Gabi until she ran to me crying about self esteem issues. They where nice to me though. They both left and while Kitty moved to my friends island and seams nicer, ursula never learned her lesson.
I last played the game 1 whole year ago, and the past couple weeks I was trying to kick her out cause i wanted other villagers, that's when I found out the amiibo cards give you the option to replace any villager you choose. I basically went through the whole bully stage and complained everyday about her and nothing was happening, time travelled for about a week or month in game and she kept acting like we were best friends 😭 so I got some third party amiibos for like $40 instead of the Nintendo packs that contain like 6 random ones for $15 or something like that. I was skeptical for sure, but it was worth it to kick out one villager and have someone that seems more interesting 🤷🏾♂️

I have a personal vendetta against Leopold in ACNH. He was the first campsite villager on my island, which, for those out of the loop, means he'll just be there forever unless you invite him to stay. (Was over a week before I figured that out)
Whilst he was living on my island his smug personality really rubbed me up the wrong way, he kinda came across as a bit of a creep, so I was super glad when he finally left (after piling trash in his yard and fencing him in for several days)
I thought that was the last of him
*BUT THEN* he turns up in Happy Home Paradise! And do you know what came up in the thought bubble above his head? "I want a place where I can set up camp for a bit" ...screw this guy

aw I feel bad for people who get bad campsite villagers. I got Chadder; not the one I desperately wanted (that would be Zell), but he is freaking adorable and I wouldn't get rid of him if you pay me.
Leopold was my first campsite villager as well. He actually asked if he could leave three days after he moved in -- and I said "Don't go!" because I felt sorry for him (and because I needed 10 villagers to get K.K. Slider to visit).
A few weeks later, he said he had a serious proposal for me, followed by him going "I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU!" It took me a moment to realize he was teaching me a new emotion -- I think it was "Encouragement." When I asked Katrina about him the other day, she didn't even offer a friendship spell because Leopold evidentially wants me to have his children.
I definitely agree! Some villager designs are so weird you wondering what Nintendo was on.

I know Marcel isn't popular or anything, but he lived on my sister's island and I grew to love him. He was in my top 3 faves of her island crew, behind Tutu and Hippeax. I dont usually like hippo villagers either, but he just had this certain... charm.
I agree that there is quite a lot of "unlikable" villagers, but i disagree with you on raymond, it is not his fault that the world made such crazy deals for him, he is handsome and precious and he doesn't deserve to be on this list😔
That's how I feel too - sure maybe he's overrated, but the way people charged absurd amounts of in-game and/or IRL currency is on them, not Raymond's existence.
i loved raymond because in every game i play i love rare collecting. i love having a goal like that, to get the "best" of something. therefore, i love raymond for that

Nintendo should have taken care of that. Website owners should’ve taken care of that. The community should’ve been less of.. assholes. Sure selling a villager is fine. But scamming? It’s ridiculous.
Nobody could control how people felt, but if you managed a game or website and people were scamming the shit out of players over s clump of pixels? Somebody could’ve taken down all the listings.
The situation was entirely the fault of irresponsible, lazy adults and obnoxious children.

Honestly, I didn't like Bubbles at first, she really not cute, but she's grown on me a lot. She's probably my friendliest villager, and she's given me some cute furniture too.

I love my boy Barold... I'll admit I first took him as a joke on a NMT Island as "discount" Raymond, but he actually grew on me. I spent a while giving him the perfect house in my opinion thanks to the DLC, and it fits his personality better; wiabu gaming otaku. Now he fits in to the lore aspects of my island, and has a desperate crush on Ione. Also a video I saw on Barold made me appreciate him even more.

I actually got Raymond on my island pretty recently, I started playing acnh 28 days ago and got him from the campsite, me and my brother quite like him, to be honest Raymond is actually pretty cool. So I kinda agree? I don't think he should be removed I just think the scammers should.

I came across the incredible luck of getting Raymond as my first campsite villager, but during his time on my island he’s just bland. I was gonna give an example of something he says, but I literally couldn’t. Rocket was also one of my starters but she’s gone now lol

Hello I have been following your tweets for the past two days and I have come to the conclusion that you do not deserve to have Raymond on your island. He is my comfort character and seeing him in an environment not meant for him brings me anxiety. I expect a reply to this DM when you have him in boxes and are ready to relinquish him to someone who will treasure him as he deserves.

She was a default in New leaf, and I started out liking her quite a bit. But then she started saying some pretty rude things and making fun of others. When she FINALLY wanted to move out she was like “Psych, you’d miss me too much!”

Not to mention she was also the level of the puzzle league mini game I couldn’t beat.
I love Raymond. He was on my first island completely by random. He hasn't shown up on any of the other islands since. I'm a serial restarter. lol Bubbles I cannot stand. Ugh. Got stuck with her on my second island. She and Mira were always fighting and then Mira wanted to leave. I got stuck with Barold on my third island. Never again. I haven't run across most of the others that you mentioned but I will say that I run from certain species if I'm island hopping looking for someone to move in.

Everyone seems to be creeped out towards at least one cute villager, and for me, that's Flurry. It's the combo of black beady eyes and human-colored skin that doesn't do it for me. Speaking of humans, that's the one thing I don't like in animal crossing. It's really off-putting to me when they intentionally make animals look like humans, so Alice and Pigleg are also my least favorites design wise.
I don't really want to delete any villagers because each one is someone's favorite, but if I had to these are the ones I would pick. Also Marina if I feel like being petty.

At least the game didn't make you interact with them afterwards. In new leaf, my game wants me to talk to them. And I learned the hard way that playing a game of hide n seak with them counts as interaction, even if they aren't the host. And just like chops, he's running after me. I'm going to time travel back to the correct date (one day at the time in case a dreamie or a villager I'm close to asks to leave before him) and hopefully he asks to move then
I'm probably the single person who likes Tammi because she looks so much like a lemur and when I found out people hate her I liked her even more. 💀
I actually like her too and shari. I actually have Shari on my island and that's one reason she can't leave. Because if she does. I feel like she will be hated wherever she goes.

Sure design is great, but they way they act and the personality they have is a major role for me. I was hesitant with letting Ahnka on my island because in the other game, she was just..so rude :( but here, she’s absolutely amazing. She’s so sweet, she’s really changed 🥲 though, with some of the things she says…I know understand why she was the chosen one for ahh..THAT animation 💀 she likely doesn’t mean to sound pervy, but her mysterious lines can be very misunderstood.

I had the same problem with Elise ughh 😫😫 She moved in automatically before i had a full 10 villagers and i didn’t speak to her once. Still took 3 weeks to get her out

@Opposinn Dog Antonio is the cutest anteater. I don’t really like them overall, but that’s my personal preference… I ran into Olaf like three times and he’s awful. I hope Antonio finds his way to your island soon!

Would absolutely add Quillson to the list. He was my first visitor at my campsite and I’ve been hating him ever since. Just today he made my bestie Norma upset, and she told me that he had told her a spoiler to something.

The one villager for me who I cannot stand is Truffles. I got her on my island when I knew nothing about the game, and thought I was going to be able to get a bunch of villagers and create a cute little island (I guess I thought I’d be able to collect all the villagers like Pokémon.) Then I found out you can only have a set amount of villagers. Yeah, I wasn’t so happy about Truffles being on my island anymore. The longer she was on my island the more annoyed I became with her. I ended up having to force her off my island with an amiibo after months of having her on my island because she. Just. Wouldn’t. Leave. I can’t stand her anymore, I was alright with her when she first joined my island, and then despised her by the time she left.
Sounds almost like how I felt about dotty. I liked her at first and thought she was just going to be a temporary villager until I could get a dreamie of mine. Then I quickly became her "bestie" and even got her photo. Months went by and I wondered if she would ever ask to leave. Then, the curse spread. She would have a thought bubble that I would like to call the "fake" or "cursed" thought bubble because it would be her wanting me to fix something she caused. Even if I said no or yes on the same day, a villager (I wanted to keep ) would ask to leave and it wouldn't be her. It wouldn't fail. Every time that thought bubble would appear, someone else would also have one and want to leave. So I tried to get her friendship level lower and lower, even giving her trash on her birthday and cadging her inside her yard but she somehow found a way out. Others thought she was my recent villager and told me dotty couldn't leave if she was my recent one. And I started to believe them... Started to think that maybe I was wrong that it was Octavian and it was dotty that was recent. Then one day, she finally asked to leave. But the hunt for a peppy dreamie was tough. I ran into so many non peppy dreamies and had to say no to all of them while regretting that choice after seeing so many ok or terrible ones. I eventually found Audie though.
I had both elise and tammi on my island. Took 8 months to kick both of them off… and then they moved to my cousins island 😭
One time in New Leaf, Al asked me to suggest some furniture to replace his drumset. I bought the same drumset but took it to Cyrus to have it customized. When I gave the customized drumset to Al he was like "a drumset??? Perfect!"
I agree with all of these besides raymond. I mean, c'mon he's a cat, smug, and he's sooo cute. What more could you want from him? Tbh its not his fault that the people trade him for so much and other things you mentioned in the video. I personally love raymond and i really don't care how popular he is or how much he's worth.

EDIT: I remembered randomly finding Raymond on a NMT island (I was looking for someone else) and I just took him.
I don't know why people made a fuss over him, because I barely play on that Animal Crossing New Horizons island he's on (then again, I have four Nintendo Switches, each with Animal Crossing).
I think it's cause he has smug anime boy vibes, which is something a lot of people are into. Also he has heterochromia, that's also popular.
On my old island I had Becky, I accidentally autofilled her. I wanted her out of my town the moment I saw her. And she had the AUDACITY to stay for 3 MONTHS. I hate her so much

I wish I could delete chops (he's sadly in my new leaf town and he refuses to leave) and barlod (or at least make barold a little bit less ..creepy. His design and house reminds me of those guys from horror movies that can't take no for an answer from women.)

I had Bubbles and Elise on my island before. Bubbles was my initial Peppy villager from the 3-housing plots quest with the beautiful interior for ANY peppy villager, not the ugly one she has if invited AFTER the campsite is built. Elise was one of two villagers I’ve sold a plot of land for via Tom Nook’s objectives to grow the island population but auto-filled in the next day cycle before I had any chance to invite a villager of choice. I moved them each out to make way for the two Cranky wolves that have the education hobby.

I've wanted just bird villagers on my island but I had to get bubbles. I've been trying to get her off my island and once my in real life friend came onto my island and she said bubbles was cute and that she wanted her when I get her off. so at least shes wanted somewhere.
I disagree with Raymond and before anyone attacks me let me explain why. I had Raymond for the longest time and I didn't get him because he's was popular I didn't care about that. I got him because he fits my style with the glasses and the business suit he wars. However I won't lie I have gotten so much shame for having him and I need to express this. I really don't get the whole thing with Raymond. As someone who has had him last year, he's just like any other smug villager. Out of all the villagers that got a lot of love but at the same time a lot of hate was Raymond. Everywhere I see on Animal Crossing Sites its always "Raymond this and Raymond that" and it was everywhere. Now for me personally I got Raymond not because of the hype or fame, but because I like his style with the glasses and his business suit that fits my style. Unlike anyone else I treat him as a "friend" and not like some type of "crazy item" like some certain people try to do with him.
Some people took the whole Raymond hype way too seriously. I seen him getting charged so many Nook Mile Tickets on sites like Nookazon and even worse is when I saw people trying to sell him on Ebay using real money (Which goes against Nintendo's Terms of Service) and yet people still do it, because they wanted him so badly. Even worse is when people had Raymond the people who hate him shame others, just because they have him. I mean who cares? Don't shame people just because they have a ugly or popular villager.
I am pretty disappointed in the AC community for allowing this type of toxicity to last this long. I am glad that the hype is dying down "finally" but still I really wish next time when a new villager is announced or released in future we should treat them as "friends" and not like some type of "crazy value" Seriously I had to unfriend everyone who kept harrasssing me because I had Raymond. I REFUESE to let him go and get mistreated by others. Sorry for ranting but this was one of things that really turned me away from villager trading after I saw that video.

I genuinely despise Al because of how ugly he is, and I gag every time I see him on my island. I would've been fine with any other lazy villager, but the game decided that I should get the worst lazy villager. And to add insult to injury, I've been trying to get rid of him for the past seven months, and he just refuses to leave.
Are you comfortable with time traveling? Travel 15 days in the future and search for villagers with bubbles. Every 15 days a villager wants to move out/has a bubble over their head. Thats how I got rid of Graham.
Honestly, I've never done time travel before, and I'm a bit dubious about the practice.

honestly, i thought i was gonna hate Rocko when he popped up on my island. i looked him up saw what he looked like and was like "ew no ! i don't want that on my island !" but then he actually came and i fell in love with him because i hadn't had a villager with his personality yet and the way he looks compliments that (still hate the yellow and black shirt he was programmed to have as default though, but i gifted him some new clothes he wears instead. waaayyyy better). he is one of my favorite villagers on my island now ! another one not many people like is Annalisa but i love her. one villiger i do hate though is Colton. as soon as he came on my island i disliked him. i was so glad to get him off my island...

Hello everyone! Uh I have a problem and I'm asking people who have animal Crossing about that, when I put July or August in my switch , in my world turns snowy and cold, but when I put December it's hot and there are mosquito like in summer, I don't understand
I suspect you have the incorrect region selected on your Switch itself and it thinks you are in the Southern Hemisphere. From the Home Screen on your Nintendo Switch, select System Settings. Scroll to the bottom and select System. Scroll down to Region and select the region in which you live. That should fix your issue, but you might have to restart your Switch, or at least close and reopen your Animal Crossing software.

@@Twinklethefox9022 Indeed he did refuse to leave. I had Monique at the time too. It pretty much darn well broke me. Had to say goodbye to Tom and Maple because of those two horrible excuses for villagers.

Al was one of the first villagers to move to my island after I'd set up the three plots of land. My immediate reaction to him was absolute FEAR. I legit recoiled in my seat from how horrible he was. I tried to convince myself that maybe he wouldn't be that bad, but the very first time I talk to him, he mentions bugs talking in the walls (ew!). So yeah, I immediately wanted him gone, and it took forever to get him to move away. Tammi was another villager that moved to my island from those first 3 plots, and while I was pretty neutral towards her at first, she kinda grew on me. She eventually moved away, and I kinda regret letting her go, but with the addition of Happy Home Paradise, I have high hopes that I can see her again there and build her a nice vacation home so I can visit her, even if she's not living on my island anymore.
Honestly, I don't wanna see Raymond removed. I can understand being upset with the way some people responded to the character. Scamming is never okay, and the people who charged money (whether it was irl money or in game money) to just *look* at him are complete trash, but I remember seeing Raymond's design for the first time (I didn't know he was popular at the time, I'd never played animal crossing before, and I saw his design for the first time in the Jaiden Animations video about animal crossing) and thinking "Oh that's a really cool character design! Monochrome color pallets are really nice, and I know from experience that it's not easy to make heterochromia work well on a design; it has a tendency to throw the entire color scheme out of balance." and when I got the game, I knew that was a villager I wanted on my island. Doesn't seem fair to remove the villager just because some of the community turned into jerks over him. That's not really the villager's fault. And it's especially not fair to the people who didn't join in on that nonsense who still enjoy the character.
Anchovy was the same way. Always talking about his bug friends and his crusty clothes. Icky. Was happy when he said we was considering moving ND I wished him well.

I was so happy to see Rocket on this list… she was my starter uchi and wouldn’t get off my island for a full year :( thankfully she’s gone now!

I have an everlasting hatred against Bertha the blue hippo. Hippos are my least favorite species in Animal Crossing, and Bertha is just awful and ugly, like all of the other hippos. I failed a villager hunt where I lost all of my Nook Miles in September 2020, and she had the audacity to autofill the plot that was meant to be for Fauna. I didn't hesitate a second and I filled her yard with trash, pitfall seeds, fencing, and jail bars. I couldn't help but endlessly hit her with my net and push her into whatever pitfall I buried. She finally left my island after less than two months of damaging my sanity, thanks to Fauna's amiibo card. You cannot tell how much I blame Bertha, I want her to vanish from the game.

I was disappointed when the Sanrio cards came out only to find my favorite character, Hello Kitty, was attached to a gorilla villager lol...the gorillas are one of my least favorite type 😂
I had TWO of my LEAST FAVORITE VILLAGERS stay for ONE YEAR. I love Barold because he’s goofy and nice. They never left and I kept Barold but he never asked to leave, weeks ago one left and today another asked to leave. I still have 2 other hate villagers I have to get rid of though 😭
Been a long time since I played New Leaf. But I specifically remember having a plot for a new villager being placed right over a plot of rare flowers. I don't remember who it was, but I remember this happening.

I used to not mind peewee until he refused to leave my island. I did everything i could think of to get him to leave and he wouldn't even bring it up, i had to literally harass him on the daily till he finally got the message
That happened to me with dotty. But she cursed other villagers into wanting to leave Everytime she was thinking on that same day. What's worse is that she wasn't even my newest villager to move in at the time, she was just being stubborn.
Thankful I am 99.9% happy with who I have but peanut wasn't my target. (She used to be before I found Audie in my final hunt for dreamie peppy)

On my first ever island I was SO UNLUCKY. I got Al as my lazy villager for the 3 furnished houses and I got Rodney for my first campsite villager. I WISH I WAS JOKING.
I have Raymond, Dom, Phoebe, and Maple on my island, Raymond and Dom were in my campsite, Maple took 3 tickets, and phoebe was a starter. 🤪
