I feel bad for Zipper. He gives me the vibes of an overworked and underpaid retail worker who hates his job but is forced to smile through the pain. I just wanna put my hand on his shoulder and tell him it'll be alright.
Astrid comes up and is like "MY JOEY DIDN'T GET A BUNNY DAY EGG, ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF" Ma'am there are eggs _everywhere_
I first started playing New Horizons in the middle of the first Bunny Day event. I don't think you need me to tell you how annoying it is trying to grind the early game when half of your resources become eggs >.
I still remember being in fatigue from being laid off and grabbing ACNH at Target on launch day trying to figure out my island...and then THIS event for twelve days while I'm trying to get a house from Tom Nook and have anything else to focus on?! It also made me irrationally hate my first lazy Benedict because I got him on the first day of BD week, and all he offered was eggs and BD recipes!
I started playing the first time 3 days ago and it was really tough trying to get resources when all I typically found was eggs lol. I suppose it gave something to do and the eggs look pretty though
When i first played New Horizons it was during the first cherry blossom season (2020) and i didnt know you could catch the the flower petals Then There was 12 Days of non stop eggs! WHY
Reminder 2020 was 5 years so 🤷♀️ I didn’t get my switch until 2 years ago and I had no idea about bunny day being as terrible as it is 😅 I am soooo glad they changed it from 12 days. That is so extreme. No other holidays are like that.
@@l0tuswing you just need one of each egg it's so easy, don't even need to try to find them all. just shake all the leaf eggs off and trade them for whatever egg you don't have
IIRC, the 2020 Bunny Day fiasco also coincided with the first Fishing Tourney so... "Want to score a bunch of points for the tournament? Too bad! Here's a Water egg!". By far the worst was getting the Cherry Blossoms DIYs. They were so rare and, while I think the normal balloons and Bunny Day balloons had separate spawn rates even then, it only added to the frustration hearing a balloon and realizing it was a Sky egg... Also, we were crazy back then for resources like wood, stone, iron and clay for the normal DIYs. Yet most of the time we were getting more and more eggs...
One advantage to the required mass manufacturing of Bunny Day items comes when restarting your island, or pushing through to that 5th Star, and you need to plop down items all over the landscape. It's a twofer, or threefer when you get to remove the junk and sell them to support your coffee habit.
In my opinion, they should do what Stardew Valley did with their egg hunt and you can walk around with an easter egg basket and collect eggs. After that, you can exchange the eggs you got for recipes.
This being my first time experiencing bunny day, I was not aware how disliked it was. I had a fun time collecting the recipes. I think the only thing I didn't like was trying to get the sky eggs.
I remember half-way through that 12 day stretch, Nintendo actually had to patch the game to nerf the egg drop rate because of all of the complaints. I guess another good thing is that if you did all of the crafting recipes the first time around, the game let's you breeze through the actual Bunny Day event the following years, so you don't have to mess around. I also agree that Festivale should be a multiday celebration.
The day Zipper came I saw him standing next to Gulliver… before he woke up. It was awkward, ominous, and absolutely hilarious - or maybe I’m just nuts lol
I got my copy on April 21 2020 so I miss out on bunny day so I can't really relate to the people who went through the trouble and when bunny day 2021 happened I already finished my museum and it was very different for me BTW I really injoy bunny day when it happened so i can't relate sorry
Same! This year is actually my first Bunny day and tbh I'm glad it's nearly over, the DIYs are very cute and love the items but the eggs are very annoying to gather for the up coming event especially the water and sky ones because they just didn't want to appear for me. The sky ones only appeared every 5 minutes on my island which is the same for normal balloons and the waters ones was just like nope! Not happening
I'm surprised 🙈 I really love Easter and so collecting all the little eggs make me happy. It just puts me in a good mood and reminds me of egg collecting as a kid I also love the super creepy mascot, haha. He reminds me of FNAF - I wonder who is inside the suit, slowly being tortured to insanity
He also reminds me of fnaf. He stays still when nobody is near, and when you come near him, it seems like he's going to do a jump scare. Also, if you look at him at night far away, he looks way creepier.
I agree. I love all the bunny day activities. It’s fun. But I do hate the bunny. He’s so annoying. But, I love all the DIYs and the bright cheery decor.
Oddly enough I’m glad Bunny Day lasts a few days because I had a more stressful time with Festivale the first year for the opposite reason. While I did get all the items in Nook’s Cranny leading up to it, I could only get every color variation on the day itself, and it still took me hours. It took more dedication than any other holiday because of this, and it actually made me feel exhausted. I’m so glad Cyrus’ customization mechanic was added in the 2.0. update so I never have to go through all that again.
Another positive for eggs you can eat them and use them like fruit to move trees. But yeah I lived through Bunny Wars 2020. It was horrible, I have legit stopped doing my dailies on my new island till this hell is over so I can stop finishing up bloody eggs every 5 seconds, the fossils and trees are what bug me the most, I need crafting mats and nope screw you have some bloody eggs. The only things I am doing on my new island right now is log into the ABD machine to get my daily nook miles and plant my money tree, the rest can wait till Zipper and his eggs have buggered off. Why don't I just time travel? I am trying not to time travel outside of just changing the hour with this island, that way I can have a more true AC experience.
It’s much better now. It’s only a week and the Bunny Day balloons don’t interfere with the normal ones. I’ve seen two balloons spawn at once during Bunny Week last year. I also just really like the Bunny Day theme.
I didn't get my game until that first August so I missed out on the hell that was Bunny Day. And I got into the spirit of it when it finally did come around. This year, though... I'll admit that I'm annoyed. I love reaping the benefits of the Nook Miles + program and the fact getting Wood Eggs doesn't count toward the "Chopping Wood" goal really annoys me. Plus the tree eggs and ground eggs ruining the asthetic of my island just because I didn't cover every single space with custom designs. Oh well- at least after tomorrow it'll be over until next year
This was my first holiday of the game, I just got ACNH March 1st of 2022 and I was soooo relieved when Bunny Day finally came because it meant the next day I wouldn’t find eggs where my normal items I wanted were typically found. The 7 days was painful enough, I couldn’t imagine 12.
Easter is my favorite holiday, so I like Bunny Day! That being said, it is less exciting after the first time around. One aspect of Bunny Day that truly is fantastic and should be added to other holidays/seasons are the different colored balloons!! We have rainbow balloons for eggs, why not pink balloons for cherry blossom DIYs? Orange balloons for mushrooms DIYs? Snowflake-decorated ones for winter? Seriously, it would be amazing!!
"The developers thought they should be nice and give us 12. 12 Days of hell." When I tell you I cackled lmao. I picked up my switch for the first time since February after moving into my new apartment and oh my gosh did I do it at the worst time-
I somehow didn't realize until this year that you can eat eggs, which was a game changer bc I just did a bunch of time traveling to move around all the buildings since I'm redoing my island, so having all the eggs to eat and move trees and shit has been amazing
12 DAYS?!?! I started playing acnh less than a year ago so i feel lucky I've only been able to experience it for a week and I've been enjoying it so far...and since I've already done a lot, it's not as frustrating finding eggs everywhere instead of fossils or fish or diy recipes....you acnh veterans have been through a lot during the early days lol
Even my bunny villager (Mira) hates Bunny Day. She stayed in her house all day Easter and went I visited, she went on about how it's all too much "eggcitement," looking quite unamused.
I had to time-skip away from the bunny weeks because I'm trying to make a gold rose field. The earth eggs were spawning on the very spots the gold rose buds would've been.
I've been doing a huge remodel of my island so the eggs have been useful because I just dig em up and eat em, I don't have to run all the way back to my house to get peaches out of storage each time I need food.
Bunny Day had so much potential like the furniture set is BOMB 💣 The “leading” character (Zipper) is funny and relatable and the idea is CRISP but the egg spawn rates are just hell 🔥 and the end prize is a wand… Like what in the TINKERBELL 😭 I was expecting like a huge golden egg statue or something not a friggin’ EGG WAND
personally, i don't mind the holiday but that's because my island is like super pastel and colourful, so I end up using the bunny day items (especially the fences and arch) quite a bit. although I do totally understand people not enjoying the event if the items don't fit their aesthetic.
This is my first year playing animal crossing...I almost had a stroke when I saw Zipper for the first time. He was just chilling near the museum jumping around. I almost logged off...
thankfuly this year its only 8 days long. i remember year one of acnh, bunny day was a nightmare between the crap ton of eggs or the annoying balloons.
I'm thankful Bunny Day isn't too close to the end of April, since near the end of the month is usually when I realize that I need to fill my critterpedia with fish that leave when the month ends. Water eggs would definitely stop me from doing that lol
The bunny day eggs were great when I was re-doing my island and moving trees in the days before cooking. I got the game partway into Bunny Day in 2020, so it never annoyed me as much as everyone who played at launch anyway lol.
I love Zipper and Easter, I don't have any problem with eggs and DIY, I have all Easter Bunny DIY. I don't understand why people complain about Zipper. ❤️❤️❤️🐰🐰🐰
I have such nostalgia for bunny day 2020, personally. Animal Crossing on launch was the perfect transition into covid lockdown and while I haven’t touched it much since those first 2-3 months since launch, I’ll always cherish the 160+ hours of memories I had with it.
I actually enjoyed bunny day, especially since it fell on my birthday, so I even got a virtual birthday party (never had one in analogue life- but hosted many) so it was all fine by me :)
dont forget the update the came out the first year that said they would reduce the amount of eggs we would find on our islands.....we still found a ton XD
Literally the only reason I logged on the first day of egg torment this year was because I got burnt out and felt so bad for leaving my villagers for a 1-month hiatus, only broken because I didn’t want to miss Celia’s bday. That and to smack Zipper on the head with my net like 20 gajillion times.
Last year, I put like a hundred of each type of egg in my storage. This year, I barely picked any up. When Zipper said he wanted one of each type of egg, I just placed my storage shed, pulled out the eggs, and he was like, "YOU DID IT!" lol
I've had the game since launch and absolutely love bunny day and zippity bunny is totally nuts😂 and decorating the island for Easter is alot of fun. I must be a minority but I love it hoppy easter 🐣 x
It’s all preference… I’ve played longer and do more activities each day during this event. Plus I started in October 2021 so this is my first bunny day.
I love Zipper as a character, his rhyming and his enthusiasm. My issue is the "Costume" idea and losing the will to live. I hate that. If Zipper T. Bunny was an actual wabbit with a big ol heart? I would adore seeing him on easter! Nintendo... Can you fix him? Make him less.. Creepy? Like more "Zippity Doo Dah, Zippity yay!" and less "Where Did I Go Wrong? "
I didn't play in 2020 for the first bunny day. Heard how awful it was, skipped 2021's bunny day. Saw Zipper this year and thought "Fine, I'll deal with your nonsense, you abomination" I'll admit, that's probably the most I've played ACNH for awhile now
Between not missing out on Fishing Tourney points, Cherry Blossom recipes, and just plain having more fish variety available . . . I had a really smooth 2020 Bunny Day in the Southern Hemsphere. But it was STILL all the Bunny Day I EVER needed. This year I put my island in Winter instead of doing Bunny Day . . .
This was my first Bunny Day. It wasn't bad. I was worried I wouldn't have enough Sky eggs, but I got everything done I wanted to. But we'll see about next year.
Ugh, I just eat the eggs when I need to move trees around. That's the only positive of Bunny Day for me. Lol Zipper scared me the other night when he first appeared on my island. I wasn't expecting him & he was staring at me from the shadows.
bro i love how in city folk zipper mutters shit like "man this mask keeps fogging up" or "cant wait to go home" and in new leaf he goes "THIS IS DEFINITLY NOT A COSTUME HAHAHA😅"
Bunny Day doesn’t really make me mad, but I see how it irritates others, especially that first Bunny Day event in 2020 when it occurred during the cherry blossoms and all you found was eggs, lots of eggs, too many eggs! But at least it got better. Sure, I still found eggs by digging this year, but I also found fossils. Luckily the event began after the cherry blossoms this year. But yeah, even though I don’t mind, I agree. Bunny Day 2020 was too much. At least it only happens for a few days every year.
The sky eggs were a pain, ended up trading wood eggs (the easiest to get) with the villagers for those. Worked out, had all items crafted within 2 hours or so.
The only good thing about the holiday this year is I'd just made a new island and you can now eat the eggs, which made moving trees to flatten my island a lot easier 😅
I loved your video! I just started about 3 weeks ago then BAM!! Bunny Day. Geez..trying to get my island going on all I seem to get are 🥚 ! It's like the Twilight Zone. I haven't figured out how to time travel yet, but 1 thing I know is that was my 1st and last bunny day! So glad I found your channel !!
I feel like I'm in the super minority here but I actually like bunny day and the OG bunny day items. I use them quite a bit on my island, especially the lamps, stools and balloons. .3.
My kid and I were playing this game together near daily. She restarted her island and it was fun experiencing firsts all over again! Then bunny season came. It was my first, it was their second. But I excitedly said "OH LOOK! AN EGG!" She looked at me and said "Mom, I'm not going to play for a few weeks. Zipper is coming." "Who is Zipper?" "You'll see...and you'll hate it." I didn't hate it, but I can see how it can be frustrating when you're trying to farm for materials or finish a collection. I just wanted all the recipes.
Don't forget Bunny Day DIYs crowding out all the cherry blossom ones! In 2020 the two basically overlapped, I remember people (including me) were desperate for months to get some cherry blossom recipes D:
I have the opposite reaction - I don’t mind the eggs, but Zipper? One encounter with him, and I found myself wishing that DIYs included a recipe for Hasenpfeffer.
this year was my first bunny day, so i actually had a lot of fun with bunny day! to be fair i didn't play at all since the bunny week started so i had to time travel back and grind eggs which was pretty fun, but i probably won't do it next year lol. i also managed to get the golden slingshot because of bunny day
I remember seeing this game trailer on Nintendo direct ,back then I had never played animal crossing and I saw it as “that game where you speak to animals” I didn’t have a lot of hype for it then but I ended up paying for the game at release because I was curious, and I fell in love instantly ❤️
I seem to recall that after a number of days on that first Bunny Day, the team at Nintendo heard our complaints because they reduced the high number of eggs for the rest of the time until the Bunny Day event itself, and since then they've toned it down for the last two, only having that high number of eggs on the day of.
2:48 Since I restarted my island in December, I had to collect all recipes and eggs again and honestly, the shortened timespan of this holiday was highly stressful. I hardly got any recipes the first couple of days and eggs honestly felt very rare, especially water eggs. I ended up having to trade for them in Nookazon. I remember the 2020 Bunny Day and it's abundance of eggs but the holiday has insanely nerfed that's for sure.
A funny way to bully zipper: 1. Do that one reaction where you go !😮 2. While he stays still, quickly run behind him and press a 3. He will get mad at you for looking at his zipper 4. Repeat to ruin his day
Fun fact: If you use a reaction in front of Zipper he stops hopping and you can walk around him. If you click 'a' while standing behind him he gets angry (because he wants to hide the zipper on his back)
For me it's just those accursed earth eggs! I've wound up with nearly 3 stacks of them in my inventory at once simply by finding them during my morning rounds!
I actually enjoyed bunny day this year. I used to skip it too but i actually really loved the items that we could craft. It felt very fresh and cute but because the time frame was so short (7 days) i actually couldn't make all of them
I feel bad for Zipper.
I didn't think of him this way. I just knew that he creeped me out. But this explanation makes more sense.
Same dude.
i agree but he’s so creepy still
And he’s like wearing a costume too in the game-

I actually enjoyed bunny day, especially since it fell on my birthday, so I even got a virtual birthday party (never had one in analogue life- but hosted many) so it was all fine by me :)
if they added more items/recipes every year, then it wouldn't be as bad
I actually love Zipper T bunny, One because Bunny day is my favourite event, and two, I think he’s actually kinda cute.
I don’t hate Bunny Day. It’s just fun to make fun of Zipper
Cant believe Nintendo declared war on Easter
dont forget the update the came out the first year that said they would reduce the amount of eggs we would find on our islands.....we still found a ton XD
I must be a minority but I love it hoppy easter 🐣 x
the only reason I hate bunny day is because all the villagers on islands wear hideous egg costumes
The costumes looks silly lmfao
It’s all preference… I’ve played longer and do more activities each day during this event. Plus I started in October 2021 so this is my first bunny day.
There’s another good side to the eggs: since they’re edible, they’re basically free food.
Saw Zipper this year and thought "Fine, I'll deal with your nonsense, you abomination"
I'll admit, that's probably the most I've played ACNH for awhile now
Kora walking slowly behind Zipper with an axe was hilarious 😆
EGGS THE DEVIL OF THE GAME. zipper is something... someone in a suit.
because it's terrifying, like how he stare to the player and dance menacingly
bro i love how in city folk zipper mutters shit like "man this mask keeps fogging up" or "cant wait to go home" and in new leaf he goes "THIS IS DEFINITLY NOT A COSTUME HAHAHA😅"
This was my first Bunny Day and I actually really enjoyed it
Fun fact about me zipper T bunny is my favorite Character in ac
Zipper is coming."
"Who is Zipper?"
"You'll see...and you'll hate it."
I didn't hate it, but I can see how it can be frustrating when you're trying to farm for materials or finish a collection. I just wanted all the recipes.
I started playing on May 2021, so i just missed the bunny day on my early days. I've completed my island this time so i actually enjoyed bunny day.
4:41
Zipper: *hating his life*
Her: *Slowly coming to kill him*
Me: gurl he already dead inside why you gotta make him dead on the outside aswell .-.
I hate that if you have patterns covering your island you need to spend so much nook miles to get those earth, stone, and leaf eggs
You can also eat the eggs for energy, great if you don't have access to cooking recipes yet and want to save your fruit for planting or crafting!
this year was my first bunny day, so i actually had a lot of fun with bunny day! to be fair i didn't play at all since the bunny week started so i had to time travel back and grind eggs which was pretty fun, but i probably won't do it next year lol. i also managed to get the golden slingshot because of bunny day
I thought the most annoying thing was trying to find fossils like man I found like none so I just gave up and haven’t found any in 6 days
of course I need to get back into it during this time😭😭✋
this is Data Egg's favourite holiday
I really miss my dad. never take yours for granted
I remember seeing this game trailer on Nintendo direct ,back then I had never played animal crossing and I saw it as “that game where you speak to animals” I didn’t have a lot of hype for it then but I ended up paying for the game at release because I was curious, and I fell in love instantly ❤️
On bunny day… I didn’t even bother to play
I like to collect the eggs for moving trees, they’re good because they can stack up to 30 in one slot
12 days eggs, 10 days cherry blossoms. Make it make sense
i actually didn’t mind it, therefore some things did annoy me but that was all on me. once i got the hang of it, i thought it was actually pretty fun!
I actually enjoyed bunny day this year. I used to skip it too but i actually really loved the items that we could craft. It felt very fresh and cute but because the time frame was so short (7 days) i actually couldn't make all of them
