@@darkiee69 it’s a little different when its essentially run by the government. There is a a whole host of problems with government run enterprises. Every company in China has a “Commissar” basically a communist party official that tells the company what it can and can’t do or how it can spy for the government. Second China is treated by the world as a 3rd world country even though it is not because it has a large GDP, a space program, and the largest military in the world that is technologically advanced. The 3rd world status legally gives China Discounted and Subsidized Mail Cargo Rates through the International Postal Convention (I believe is a UN program) which the USA pays most of the money. They either pay nothing for actually receive money back on shipping through this program. This is how they can ship from China for so cheap, they are subsidized by this program and other and your items that should be $20 are now $3-$4 dollars. I haven't seen negative comments like this since the Yammie collaboration. There's certain parts you need to spend the money on Not sure I want a budget chain on my bike. Or a budget top end. That being said, I picked up a Russian Ural carb clone on Ebay (not from Temu) for 55 bucks. I put it on a 70's Triumph and it's been working great.
No Craig. Not you too. You and Sean my two favorite motorcycle content creators. Don’t sell out to this spyware company that baits people with cheap products made using slave labor.
I loved this video - it took me back to when I first started out on bikes back in the 70's - no electronics! I now ride a ridiculously complex BMW R1250GS . I've recently fitted a Chinese top box/case - it cost forty six of our English pounds. I had to make some adjustments - make a plate and drill two holes in the base plate but that made me even happier! Keep the video's coming big boy!
Craig please stick with Raid: Shadow Legends, War Thunder, Raycon, or something like that. Temu like BetterHelp or Established Titles aren't worth taking the PR hit over.
As an insurance agent for an european company, i can only tell you to not buy from there. When you order e.g. and electronic device from Temu, you will be the so called "main importer" meaning that YOU are reliable for quality tests, warranty stuff and so on. Meaning, if your house burns down due to one faulty thing you bought there, we wont pay you anything since you imported that stuff and didnt do propper testing (like the "E Checkmark"). Thats at least here in europe.
Temu doesn't make anything. They take products from bulk manufacturers and sell them at cost directly. That's why you don't see them putting any brand names in their titles or descriptions.
I don't think I will bother. I take it you have heard the allegations about Temu stealing data and card details as well as totally bypassing the Android permissions.....
I dont know HOW you "take it" that way. It's pretty obvious that he DIDN'T know about their business and labor practices, or he wouldn't have made the video. I didn't know either, I'm just hearing it for the first time here. But I don't buy things online. Too many data breaches.
I have to say I was surprised to see this channel promote Temu and my initial reaction was of great disappointment. I read plenty of comments against and a few for the sponsor, mainly centred around the channel making some money. I sat on it for 24 hours and educated myself on the issues with Temu. I find myself unable to agree with the decision to promote Temu. It is easy to justify sponsorship as making a bit of extra money but somewhere there is a line. In the video description, the blurb starts with "politics aside..." Fair enough. I can agree with that. Promoting a company that sells cheap and virtually disposable items....hmm...well, each to the own though I do in general try a buy stuff that will last. But what I can't agree with is promoting an App that has opaque data practices and data mining practices. This channel choose to associate themselves with these practices so I choose to unsubscribe and will no longer watch any if their content.
Thank you for your sacrifice on ordering parts from Temu. I tend to order simple stuff and not engine parts, but it seems like it may be worth it for everything but carburetors.
Na. Plenty of decent parts come out of China. It’s the same factories as alibaba and Amazon and all that. Just have to be more diligent about checking reviews and QC your stuff.
I see most comments regarding Temu has already covered most misgivings people have with Temu, I'll just say that if my local mechanic sourced Temu parts and used them on my bike, I'd be a bit... let's say I'd find a new mechanic. You do you Craig, love your content, but remember how you've had problems on bikes that were caused by shady/fake/faulty "new" parts? Looking forward to the next video 👍
Love your content. Not as good as your work on Top Gear or The Floor is Lava; but very educational and humorous. I was saddened when Eric Bana moved to TN, thus breaking up the Bikes and Beards crew. Peace.
Craig, I've always enjoyed your videos, with the exception of this one endorsing Temu. I made my comments, and waited a week to see if you'd give any answer. With a new video out and no comment on your part concerning Temu, I am sadly unsubscribing. Many of us were bothered by your Temu Endorsement; and many of us commented about it. That you've chosen not to say anything about sticking with Temu/not sticking with Temu I now have the feeling that individuals subscribing to your channel may not be that important to you.
This hurts the economy of other countries and their workers and is one of the ways China cheats the world.
You know this how?
@@MegaDirtyberty I watch a New York Based Think Tank on China. They have a couple of different formats and RUclips channels. China Unscripted is a Podcast format with guests that included various Pacific Rim politicians. But the better channel is China Uncensored hosted by Chris Chappell also apart of the same Think Tank, he takes a humors look at China Policy and news.
This explains a lot! Boeing must use Temu too!
Thanks for bringing great humor to this drama. One of the most straight men on RUclips selling himself to the worst possible sponsor.
Man I think you should return to just taking old bikes and fixing them, that's what we love the most!
Especially the fixing part!! 🤣
Craig I like your channel I understand it takes money for everything and sponsorship pays the bills but temu.
I was really enjoying the content up to this point. Please get rid of this sponsorship.
I liked the channel until now, but I didn't expect Temu to be advertised here and I'm really disappointed. How can someone sell their soul for money.
@@GettingNervouseasy bro gotta live life up

Never install apps! EVER! Just go to the website on a browser and avoid all the garbage getting installed on your phone.

So disappointed with a Temu sponsored video from Craig. I want to stay subscribed but… So torn.
You know it’s really nice to watch people on here who are actually nice people such as yourself. Mean people suck. I’m glad you’re on here and I really enjoy your videos.
Hopefully this is a one and done as far as Temu goes. 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I bet that chain will stretch twice as quick as an OEM one.
I'm here for banter and bikes right mjeeow. Not a tutorial on unethical online shopping.
Glad the comments have came together to tell you to get a grip.. poor show man.
BetterHelp, Temu, Honey, Raid: Shadow Legends, and RayCon should be part of your "do not accept" list for sponsors. Either they'll scrape and sell your data or it's straight up a scam.
Earn your bag, sure... But reputation is harder to earn than a bag. I'm sure there's other horrible sponsors to avoid too, but those are the some infamous ones off the top of my head.
So does Meta, Google, Amazon and any other website you visit.
I love your videos, been watching since bikes and beards, but recommending Temu is a bad decision. Temu is actually forbidden on government phones because it's suspicious. Next to all their products being crap and also dangerous, you should be really careful or know what you're doing to order something from them. If i were to order chinese crap i'd just go to aliexpress, It's all the same crap but they have independent stores
I assume you have bought from Temu to know "all their products being crap and also dangerous"?...
Learning from Fortnine (great channel), Temu is black market and grey market product.
Watch "TEMU Is Worse Than I Thought..." He's an I.T guy take note of the amount of control it has on your phone!

Raid and Raycon aren't worth it either. Raycon is a temu quality product, rebranded...
Thats at least here in europe.
so what
@oddguyamaar9191 u got no clue right? 💀
Not sure on this, they, Temu, are actually copying legit things and sell it cheap. Not okay by me or any original maker.
Temu doesn't make anything. They take products from bulk manufacturers and sell them at cost directly. That's why you don't see them putting any brand names in their titles or descriptions.
Do a follow up review after using this bike as a daily rider for two years and see if the parts are still holding up. My guess is they won't.
*days
I don't think I will bother. I take it you have heard the allegations about Temu stealing data and card details as well as totally bypassing the Android permissions.....
I dont know HOW you "take it" that way. It's pretty obvious that he DIDN'T know about their business and labor practices, or he wouldn't have made the video. I didn't know either, I'm just hearing it for the first time here. But I don't buy things online. Too many data breaches.
@@JeffKopis that's total bs, look at his edit, he knew how scummy temu is but he wanted their money anyway. He's a shill.
@@Hawk7886 Yet you still watched the video 🤣🤣
Thank you for your sacrifice on ordering parts from Temu. I tend to order simple stuff and not engine parts, but it seems like it may be worth it for everything but carburetors.
Craig, please...
No more temu. I watch your other sponsor segments for the time watched. This feels kinda treacherous.
Very surprised that you went with Temu.
You just made the most dangerous bike on the planet with all these Temu time bombs..
Na. Plenty of decent parts come out of China. It’s the same factories as alibaba and Amazon and all that.

Temu sells your all your information!
I wish you great luck and success.

TEMU is a Chinese based company with accounts in the Cayman Islands. I’m all set. But I’m glad Greg and Craig got what they wanted. You can find them at PDD Holdings another commerce company in China. But lie and say they are out of Boston. Good luck folks.
