I don’t remember the name of it but he bent the rules and recut footage for Logan Paul to appear to have won even though he lost earlier on and a female contestant actually won the competition. Logan was able to donate to whatever he wanted and she didn’t. It just kind of left a sour taste in my mouth more than anything.

I kind of always felt this way. Call it a hunch, but the fit he threw when jackcepticeye said he didn't like the way mr.beast turned youtube into more of a job than a hobby had me thinking about how he saw himself
Quite a few people have said it, it's just that a lot of big youtubers like Moist, Ludwig, Oompa, Mutar, CoffeeZilla, and many others were quick to defend Beast and paint him as some sort of saviour. Heck, Philip D'Franco even went out of his way to attack, and character assassinated a journalist who wrote a piece about terrible worker conditions at the Mr.Beast company, and she even had statements from multiple former employees.
used to watch mr beast long back then before he ever got popular (videos of him ragging on kids youtube intros, and him making a ton of edgy jokes) and i wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t all that good of a person lol.

In the UK, an NDA cannot be used to allow criminality to be continued or to cover it up either. This applies to sexual harrasment now as well, so even if you are paid off instead of taking them to court, and are made to sign an NDA, they cannot use the NDA to sue you.
Re C&D's I have also sent out pre cease and desist emails to people who were using my sisters audio (about 17 years ago) and pretending it was their own by miming. They didn't ask, they didn't credit her so I sent a cease and desist. This was all on RUclips back in the day.

"Faking videos" claims random guy who lied about himself being involved in it. There isn't any evidence of it besides a guy that's mad he got fired making claims which have already been proven to be lies. He just jumped on the chance to get fame and profit. The strongest evidence being "i think this is the case" doesn't make it the case.
It is funny how people think this is something revolutinary. I am quite astonished, that lots of people thought those videos are real. It is not a big deal and never was. People are just to sensitive these days. If i were to pin point something about mr beast, i would say that selling "lottery tickets" to children is much worse than faking his videos.

Sure, a cease and desist COULD be to get people to stop spreading lies but a detailed video debunking the lies would do even better. A cease and Desist by itself to silence someone is a REALLY bad look.

A video would stop THIS controversy but it would show everyone else that signed an NDA that they can just break it too. A cease and desist that is being enforced would encourage all other people under NDAs to not break them. A twitter statement most likely will come out anyway and should come out, but enforcing the NDA if it actually was broken isn’t that crazy and should be expected.

It was widely panned by the marine sciences community as, at best, a well intentioned but poorly implemented initiative. That's why they mostly switched efforts to rivers (which is considerably better).
The good old fashioned beach cleanup, organized by the community or small organizations as a HUGE impact. But he best effort is to make polluters accountable. And that is made through legislation.

That’s pretty wild that they’re Investigating the Ava Tyson allegations through a firm, while simultaneously using the same law firm to dish out cease and desists. Their NDAs wouldn’t hold water anyway if there’s illegal activities that are being exposed.
Certain illegal actions unrelated to what you signed an NDA for doesn’t null the NDA. The parts about illegal lotteries had nothing to do with his inside knowledge or from working there however earlier parts in the video might have. You don’t even have any idea what the terms were or what parts they included in the NDA.

Most NDAs are invalid and unenforceable in court unless they: 1) Stipulate specific matters that cannot be disclosed 2) Are quite narrow in their scope of what cannot be disclosed 3) Are time bound with a concrete and reasonable time period (e.g. 1 year, not 50 years) 4) Directly relate to intellectual property that would heavily diminish its market value is released prior to the NDA issuer releasing related material (e.g. If you leaked a large Mr Beast contest outcome before the Mr Beast video was posted reveling it. And in such a case it would be reasonable to impose a slight grace period after it was released that one could not talk about it).
Blanket NDAs are usually worthless and just are used as a scare tactic as is almost everything you see posed as fact in a Cease-and-Desist demand letter. You can pretty much manipulate all sorts of half-truths in C&D letters and unless its a bold faced lie, its considered fine. Especially if this occurs in the state of California (Cali has very strict standards and limits on valid NDAs).

This is a precedent that’s already been set. There’s tons of case law, both state and federal, where people “violated” their NDA to blow the whistle on a crime or whatever…and the NDA is useless at that point. As long as the crime can be proven (either beyond a reasonable doubt or to whatever burden is needed) it’s cooked.

I know Dogpack named his video the way he did because it would attract more clicks, but in what way is he a whistleblower or violating his nda? Most of what he shows is footage from videos made public at some point or public statements from other people. All he did was looking into something the rest of the world wasn't, and that's really interesting. He for sure revealed stuff about his employment there, but he mostly didn't have to and the point would have stayed the same. I would say what he actually did (an investigation) is in that way more valuable than just spewing hearsay of what he saw in the company.
I think exposing the fact that the beast crew participates in the videos and they make it look like they’re randos might be knowledge he obtained by working there. Also the raccoon being planted in the video also, he wouldn’t know that unless he worked there.
For the most part though the big points he covered were things you can see in the videos themselves, not sharing insider information. I don’t think the beast team has a strong case here to go after him. If they take it to court they’re going to have to go over his claims about illegal lotteries which would expose the beast company to huge risk if it’s proven he wasn’t wrong about that.
That’s why I’m guessing that Mr Beast is supposedly hiring a PI and trying to discredit him. Actual court could end super badly for them so they are trying to win the info war, but given how the situation is unfolding it’s not looking good.
To be honest, everything besides the illegal gambling claim is pretty typical of any reality media company. A marketing department, using cgi and inserts to dramatize stuff, etc I don’t think is such a big deal I think this could have blown over if it was left alone, now it’s getting way worse for them
