What you call 'a ponzi-like scheme' is just a classic case of 'trading while insolvent'. It is not a ponzi scheme, but it is a specific crime that will get you jail time as a director.
Ironically the easy out is restructuring under bankruptcy protection, its effectively legal to keep trading that way if you follow the right steps.

First time watching this channel… The production quality floored me. I will watch more.
Holy shit. This explains a lot about why Misfits just kind of dipped, out of the blue. However, the "not much corroborating evidence" part baffles me. If you listen to the first 20 or so episodes of their podcast, there's a LOT of talk about how Ryan made a habit of getting people fucked up on drugs no matter where they were/went. Even then, it felt predatory and weird that he was constantly pushing drugs at the Misfits, especially considering one of the group's major issues with drugs over the years.
I remember that also the club thing they went in poland, its on the podcast back in early episodes

an actual story that you should be talking about is an anecdote from The TwitchCon Story on their podcast in which they say that Fitz and a friend of theirs were drugged by a guy who got the idea from Ryan himself. There is a clip on the misfits podcast clips channel.

Nah that was cut and dry accidental consumption. However, Mason (zuckles) one of the misfits, literally had a mental breakdown which I strongly feel Ryan had a lot to do with.
Seriously. I have no problem with people who use or even abuse alcohol or drugs. But this messed up behavior of forcing those habits on unwitting people was gross when it was just spiking the punch at parties in 80s boner comedies. Maybe back then people could innocently claim they were just getting their jollies or whatever, now we should just assume its exactly as predatory as putting roofies in their drink.
Ryan had nothing to do with that, that was an accidental overdrugging because Ted didn’t realize it was an edible

While I don't disagree, I think the level of accusation here rises to lawsuit/criminal prosecution. In this case, lawyering up and letting them handle it is the safer move until the litigation/trials are over. Which could admittedly take years because the legal system in America is so beyond fucked that it isn't even funny. But those are the times we live in

@@maddog8659that’s one perspective, that is reasonable. Another is that presenting the story in a narrative format helps most people follow the plot. Not everyone can follow bullet point presentations. Plus it’s his channel, it’s how he expresses himself in addition to providing a public service.
This video made me realize why I never got my merch from a creator. I was really annoyed that I never got it and spent months with the creators merch support team just to end up no where and now I know they were partnered with revolt and I will probably never get that merch 😂 or my money back. Man that was a nice hoodie.

It's crazy how at first, all of the questionable or curious steps and moves that this podcast and these individual creators connected to this issue we're just confusing and self-contained.. But now we're seeing a DaVinci code of explanations from hints and pieces of all these people's contents over the past year. I've had to refill my popcorn bucket like seven times.
