- Theo Von, Brendan Schaub, Whitney Cummings, Jim Cornette, were all allegedly defrauded by Kast Media and Colin Thomson. How did this happen and how can we prevent it in the future? Here's my investigation.

This video is an opinion and in no way should be construed as statements of fact. Scams, bad business opportunities, and fake gurus are subjective terms that mean different things to different people. I think someone who promises $100K/month for an upfront fee of $2K is a scam. Others would call it the "opportunity of a lifetime." - Развлечения
🚨I’ve seen people concerned for me over the “I make 4 figures in the $10,000,000 studio” comment and to be CLEAR that was a joke!
I was just surprised by how much podcasts make and wrote that in as a throwaway line.
I think most ppl know how absurd the idea is that I could have 2 employees, and a $10,000,000 studio if the channel actually made a few thousand bucks a year, however I wanted to clarify so no one worries about me.🥺

@@Hydraav2 whats actually funny is that he says he appreciates what coffee does but apparently doesnt have any idea what he does because else he wouldnt try to deflect with these stupid excuses like "this and that happend in a podcast episode and we had to move" when you can simply check that and debunk it in a matter of minutes/hours
When I hit a million subscribers I'm going to scam them all just so Coffee makes a video about me

The saddest part is always when the scammers themselves say to Coffeezilla *”I appreciate the work that you do in exposing scammers.”* As if they genuinely believe that they’re not one of those people. Greed really does blind a person’s morals.
You are so right!!
Or they have different morals that don't take well being of other ppl into account
They know they're scamers. They're just pretending they're not, by saying they appreciate his work.
It’s a manipulation tactic that has probably worked really well in dealing with podcasters and celebs. It’s just simple flattery. “Once he likes me he will be willing to do business”
But CoffeeZilla isn’t trying to sell something, or get an ego stroke, so the same manipulation tactics are definitely not going to work.

This Colin guy has a future in politics. Just answered a simple question with paragraphs of jiberish
He also sounds like Logan Paul with his explanation
The way he moves when he talks seems like a dead giveaway
Sounds like Kamala
He wanted to explain the whole situation to hopeful garner sympathy or to manipulate people. Classic move
Also he talks like he's super nervous
the guy never intended to run a long-term podcast network; he was trying to hold it together long enough to get acquired, get a big payday, and walk away. That's the giant scam; a lot of start-ups never intend to stay in business; they hold it together long enough to go public via an IPO, get the massive payday, and then watch the company burn to the ground or be bought out by a more prominent firm
Damn that dude is scary, because he was able to come off so genuine. He was very good at mimicking the presentation of someone with good intentions, that just got in over their head
You can tell he isnt actually this person however. Because A) his priority in explaining what went wrong is to first establish his innocence. Its like when someone calls 911 and their first priority isnt saving the person injured, but rather establishing they had nothing to do with it.
B) he has no patience. After being pressed about just explaining where the money went rather then giving an alibi, he gets upset. A genuine person who made a huge mistake still understands and recognizes the harm their actions caused. You dont get offended by it.
Started out going "man maybe theo was wrong about who this guy actually is" but very quickly changed, "oh there he is. Theres the bad guy. He was just hiding in there. Got it".
Just typical sociopathic con artist behaviour. He's the type of person who will look in your eye with a straight face and swear blind that he's not stabbing you even as he's sticking the knife in.
No, he dripps with con man.

It’s why if you’re a podcaster or any kind of streamer, it’s better to be an independent than in a network. Excellent work Coffee!
They are to weak to do anything.
Of course they might get interested when the network says they can somehow increase their monthly revenue from $5k to $50K, by somehow 'leveraging' the popularity of the network itself...
Not really. An agency will be able to get you way bigger names than cold emailing them.
There's this "strength in numbers" idea in streaming industry. That's why influencers always do collaborations. Having under one agency will help you to get more followers. That's the value proposition in that.
Not exactly most podcasts do most things independently, however Advertising and obtaining sponsors is a whole other ball game.
The SECOND Collin started talking to Coffee it was obvious that the whole thing was a scam. He was regurgitating a sales pitch instead of answering questions. "Did you scam people?" "What we sell is independence."
As soon as I hear the accused say" I love the work you do " about Coffee, I usually lose hope

Complimenting the person in front of them is in the scammer's DNA. Scammer's are people pleasers with their words, but traitors with their actions. I used to work with a boss who had that personality. He would say what ever he thought the person in front of them wanted to hear if he was trying to sell them something. Coffeezilla: "Where did the 4 million dollars go?"
Colin Thomson: "UH UH UH... LOOK OVER THERE!!!" -RUNS AWAY
I love how he right away began to butter Coffee up. Go to the start of the interview and watch the smile on Coffee's face as soon as he starts saying how great Coffee is and how he's a great journalist and will have integrity or whatever. As soon as Coffee is on screen, he is already smiling hard. 4:45 to pinpoint that smirk.
That dude legit believed he could outsmart coffee like he did everybody else. Some people can really smell these con artists a mile away, my radar was going off from the start.
I love that rich people and scammers hiding their assets is so common theres a company that specializes in and blatantly advertises it
Huh? What company?
lol expect that that’s not what this is at all … Kast is a marketing / middleman agency not a tax evasion service … your comprehension skills are that of a small child
Did you guys not watch the video?! Tf. The “wyomingllc” he used to put his trust under so it’s not under his name.. literally says “we hide your assets from bankruptcies, etc, etc.
@@HighlyRegardtedare you ok bro
@@HighlyRegardteddid you watch the video?
I love when the scammers talk to coffee and really think they’ll get out of it lol
They probably think ignoring him would make them seem more suspicious.
Its a level of narcissism. Lying and cheating got them to the top, now maybe lying can get them out of the whole. Think of SBF when being interviewed by friendler MSM and when interviewed by people who didn't buy his schtick.
It's like those suspects who talk to the police. They don't understand the gravity of the words "anything you say can and will be used against you." Talking to the police will get you nothing, and could lose you everything. At best, something you say could just not be useful. At worst, it could be crucial testimony the prosecution uses to incriminate you. SAY NOTHING. Especially if the detective is Coffeezilla. He will get you.
@@blakksheep736some people aren’t as smart as they think they are. This guy would talk to cops after a murder thinking he could get out of it. Some anti social personality disorder going on here.
Hell yeah. As it turns out thinking you're smarter than other people is an important aspect of being a scammer. Some of them actually are super smart and they have real wealth and power. This dude is just another hack trying to make a quick buck.
the most mind blowing thing tbh is the figures in which these podcasts are operating under. way more than I ever would've imagined, and those numbers are being thrown around like normal. says more about the money behind RUclips that isn't seen.
wow.... immediately pop that " i love your work and appreciate your time " strat right away 😂 dude is sweating
Thank god I thought Theo was caught up scamming😂
The Rat King? Never
@@ForgiveZharion imagine trying to scam in a Coffee Zilla comment section
The opposite, he got scammed and still fulfilled sponsor obligations throughout the payments not showing up.
This caught me way off guard lol
Theo is the last person on earth
Just goes to show: If your employer, partner or whatever else is not paying you on time, ditch them immediately. There is no coming back from that.
This happened to me where I worked. They lower some workers salary down to 50% coz they lost some money coz someone stole part of the income but they do still have some money to pay us. Funny coz my employer didnt say the reason why he cut down to only some of us. It is against the contract we agreed on so i quit. He treated a few of us like shit n yet he still paylid his brother n people he knew longer good salary with the same amount of work.
? My boss rarely paid on time, but every year I got bonuses and a pay rise
cool@@supersai4198
@@supersai4198well congratulations you’re in the minority. Glad you had a nice experience
I wonder if part of it is that some of these folks treated podcasting as kind of a side hustle / supplemental income, and so didn't go after the money as they would if it were their primary income. Listen to that guy who didn't get upset till the payments were six months late. Who in their right mind would wait that long, unless they didn't rely on that money to survive. I'm not saying that justifies stealing, I'm just saying maybe that's what enabled the stealing to get so out of hand.
I do the same pen flip in my hand as Coffeezilla! Sick skills man! Great video.
Crazy story and awesome video. Thanks 🙏
It’s crazy how he drowns you in compliments and assurances while lying directly to your face 😂
Coffeezilla needs to get the Vine meme of the priest dunking the baby in water and a voice over saying "wheres the money lebouski"
Yup. As soon as I heard him fluffing Coffee up with compliments, my red flags meter starting going crazy lol
@@siiiiiuu7 Yep. In business, don't butter me up. Show me tangible results and that you know what you're doing. If our venture is successful, then we can celebrate together.
It's called "love bombing" or "ego-building statements". It's used very often by manipulative cult leaders and narcissists alike. Thankfully, I'm immune to flattery so the minute I feel someone doing it to me, red flags go off.
I love that Bryan used "consider this a serious caution" right back at Colin and he considers his own phrasing a threat 😂
Well, he doesn't. It was an excuse.
@@father3dollarbill obviously, there's too much hypocrisy to point it all out in one comment, just thought that particular one was pretty funny
What a sleezy guy that scammer is
Anyone else notice Colin kept looking up to the left when describing his stuff?
Loved this, new subscriber here
All these situations have the same root cause, the guy bought a multi-million dollar home, several exotic sports cars, a boat, expensive vacations, and was blowing money like a playboy thinking the money would never stop, and spoiler alert, the money always stops. He was using creators as a credit card to fund his lifestyle and now can't pay it back.
Are you talking about all levels? Like poor money management from the podcast hosts through management and their deals? or are you referring to someone specific fucking up?
Either way greed is probably the biggest problem with modern society, if I had to guess...
Im pretty sure this was always the contingency plan. "Okay what I am going to do is Hope that Kast becomes big, but if it doesnt, Ill pocket the cash, hide my assets, declare bankruptcy and let someone else 'Save' my clients."
@@Cosmic_Corpse22100% he did exactly that. He’s in all this shit because of GREED
@@skachor It's pretty obvious they are referring to Thompson.
Just think, if he'd spűnked only enough money to never have to work again with a middle class lifestyle, he'd probably have gotten away without a peep.
He knew they couldn’t pay, but threatened to sue his colleagues if they shared that information with potential clients. That alone is dishonest.
He was hoping that ad rates would go back up. He was literally gambling with other people's paychecks.
@@SteveWiIIDolt Nah, he pocketed the money. If they come after him, he'll claim bankruptcy. Dude is def a

Fun fun fun. Great video!
( Imagine all the RUclips channels buying lessons thinking they will amount to something.......Fewer than 10% off all channels are monetized)
Imagine being asked about the company missing 4 million dollars in payments to their clients and you reply with a sales pitch on the vision of said company.
Sign me up! Lol
Man anyone who knows or knew a manipulator, narcissist, scammer, or conman can identify the way this dude Collin speaks. It gives me chills, the "I appreciate this, I appreciate that, I appreciate the work you do" like of crap, the setting the narrative in a forced calm type of speak, all that. It's wild these guys are so far deep into the con that they convince themselves they have everyone else convinced. Keep up the good work Coffee
They never answer the question and always play the victim.
These are the people that always end up being politicians.
He executed his speech very well and is a good demonstration of how one speaks as a CEO. This is an organized, concise way to speak and he maintains a calm environment -- it's a skill, not malicious.
@@ItsMudfish This is not CEO speak, this is "I'm obviously lying" speak.
@@ItsMudfishok collin, sure it is
