Excellent reaction! I love Ren and Chinchilla's chemistry and voices but I especially like that they are not afraid to tackle the subject of mental health. Ren has Lyme disease but they didn't diagnosis for over 7 years. Instead they treated him for everything under the sun, including mental illness. He's from the UK and had to travel to Belgium to be properly diagnosed. He underwent stem cell therapy in California and is now in Canada receiving treatment for many months now. He did a video called 'Hi Ren' were he sings about hearing the negative voices in our head that compete with the good. I think you will really enjoy hearing it and reacting to it. Ren is a really nice guy and his fans are called Renegades. We are a very caring and positive group of fans that support a talented independent artist. New to MRM and had to check this one out - Ren and Chinchilla are my favorite artists right now and together they are pure magic. We have seen this video hundreds of times so we all know Ren's face is still scratch free at the end. Those talons are part of her costume, she performs with them on and takes them off when she is done.

I'm glad you liked them together, Ty. They feed off of each other when they perform together. And she had a smack delivered before you even said "just kidding"... 😵💫 And Chinchilla said in an interview that she puts the nail on to put herself into a character that lets her block her stage fright.

A little background. The very short version. Ren is Welsh, grew up in a very isolated region on an island between England and Ireland.. In his late teens one of his closest friends (Joe ) committed suicide which still has a lasting effect on his life and music.. A few years later he was sighed by Sony. He was set to be the next big pop star but started to get sick.. Sony dropped him fairly quickly as they had no need for a sick kid.. It turns out he has Lyme disease but he was misdiagnosed. The thought he had Chronic fatigue syndrome and started treatment. Of course it was all wrong and he had reactions to the meds that triggered continuing autoimmunity reactions. He was on life support at one point and almost died. ... While this was going on the Lyme was untreated and he suffered from all the neurological symptoms of a raging Lyme infection including deep psychotic episodes. This song is about the psych meds and how they make you feel.. It is part on a new album that he just dropped called "Sick Boi" which opened at #1 on the british album chart.. Fist time ever for an independent artist..
He has a huge catalog online.. He was in a band that did street performances in Brighton called "The big Push".. mostly cover mashups but many are better than the originals..
BTW, he does another duet with Chinchilla called how to be me that talks about Joe and how his loss interacted with his Psychosis..

Man you would love alot of rens material he just hit #1 in the UK as an independent artist an was in Canada getting treatment for his lyme disease. He went through a lot having been misdiagnosed an given medication that brought on psychosis auto immunity spent 23 hours a day in bed for a year thought he was going to die from the pain
