The term for a non defined tempo is called Rubato (borrowed time) and this chord progression is not a IV - V- vi in G major it is a bVI - bVII - i in the key of e minor.

dude you put everything into perfect understanding. Not only that but I totally and most definitely get you on the "feel" of the progression and chords we choose. I play very much like you and think very much like you as far as a good perception on what I'm trying to express on the guitar. Like setting a mood and feel for the progression. Anyway, great playing and best of luck!

Enjoyed the lesson! I did feel the passing notes were very jarring and peppy in the context of the chords. I think personally I'd focus on an E minor scale for those fills and use a more subtle picking style there. That's really just my personal preference though. Again I loved the lesson!
