I always felt the X-T3 was geared toward photographers, who would like to explore video; while the X-H1 was geared toward cinematographers, who would like to explore photography. That being said, I think the X-T should have the tilt screen, and the X-H should have the fully articulating screen. I also think they rushed the release of the X-T4 in time for the Olympics... I would still recommend buying the X-T3, and use the money you save to invest in a lens or a gimbal.
XT4 user and New RUclipsr here! and... Just wanna thank you to tell me more specifically about this camera! (Btw I like your voice~ Calm and Nice to keep attentions! XD)
I reckon the articulating screen is for vlogging and gimbal use. Rather than putting an external monitor on a gimbal, I would prefer using an articulating screen.
Great review as always Hyun, thanks very much. In my view, what you gain in the X-T4 with the bigger battery and allegedly better autofocus, is more than what you loose in convenience from the articulating screen (if you are mainly a stills photographer, that is). As I shoot mainly stills, I would have much preferred to have the X-T3 tilting screen in the X-T4. But I think the X-T4 is still worth to buy or upgrade to, because of the new battery and the AF. If you are a hybrid shooter then I guess the X-T4 is near perfect. Keep up the clear, balanced and down-to-earth reviews! Thanks!
Great video, Thanks for the input. My X-T2 went on he blink, will cost over $600 - thinking of the X-T3, X-T4, or switching back to the Nikon Z6ii - hard decision.
Very helpful review. I’m currently shooting on an XT3 and an X100V and I’m thinking of getting a backup body. I think I might just get another XT3, though after loving the rangefinder style in the X100, I do have my eyes on an XPRO3.
Great vid. I wanted the xt4 18 months ago.... but bought the xt3. I dont think I'm really missing out on too much.. my lenses offer me adequate stabilisation for photography. As you say.... best investing in lenses rather than upgrade. Regards..... Steve
Great review love your comparison between the X-T4 and the cheaper X-T3 having just ordered the X-T3 online I feel confident that I made the right choice 👍
I totally agree with everything you say and especially the screen. I’ve just upgraded from the T1 and whilst the T4 is light years ahead and amazing, the screen for stills is frustrating. Especially trying to shoot from the hip with discreet street photography. I love the camera, but I’m contemplating selling for a T3 or H1 based on the screen alone. It’s catering too much for the video world when stills consumers play a huge part in the X Series range
Hyun Ralph Jeong that’s the plan. I wish I’d done that to start with, but I just didn’t realise how much the screen would affect me. You made the exact point about renting in your broadcast and that’s why I feel your opinions on the X-T4 have been some of the most pragmatic on RUclips regarding this body.
Hyun Ralph Jeong I would also add that whilst my thoughts on the screen are rather negative for what I do, it will work with aplomb for countless others. There’s no denying it is a phenomenal camera. The biggest shock factor has been post production in Capture One compared to the T1. 5-10 seconds versus 5-10 minutes. It delivers and then some!
AcidicDelusion No he didn’t and I’m not Bresson! We’ve all been spoilt by modern technology where choice is too great. I wasn’t crying about the screen, I was trying to be constructive with my thoughts and question where Fujifilm are heading with their design philosophies. I was only trying to highlight that for anyone else who perhaps shoots that way that the screen could be a problem if they are considering the T4.
i dont get it, when finally the company give us one good camera with good improves, the question now is why they didnt do this in another line of cameras?
@@HyunRalphJeong z mount lenses are damn expensive compared to Fuji lenses. .I'm really confused ..besides shallow depth of field any benefit in having a fullframe ...? I really love Fuji ..Nikon Z 7 feels great in the hand too ..
@@Libinkttm Well, you should buy what you can afford lol Going full frame usually costs more. No point buying a camera if you can't afford the lenses. Fujis are great too.
Excellent comparisons! I shoot alot of cinematic with the XT3 in my channel. I have no problems with it but the XT4 keeps bugging me! I might have to give in pretty soon! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Awesome review. Nicely done!
A friend let me borrowed his Xt1 and im slowly enjoying the usage of the Fujifilm, im a Nikon DSLR user but thinking on going to mirrorless. So what would be a good recommendation for someone who likes photography more but delving a bit on the videography aspect? Thanks and new subscriber here :)
Thank you, if you like the Fuji, the X-T3 or 4 would be good, or even the X-T30. Sony is also a safe option if you want to go full frame. It's harder to find bad cameras at this point and new things come out all the time so you just gotta commit haha.
Prefer the xt3 screen but making do on the Xt4, which I just switched to from the a7iii and eos r. Maybe they’ll make the xh line full frame? One can dream right lol
I have the xt2 and lust after the xt4 for it’s screen.Simply because I can flip that shit aroud and forget about it. No more ugly nose smudgy-screen. And other than that it’s also more versatil.
They discontinued the xh lineup. It sold very bad. They reduced the price drastically because nobody bought it. No wonder, big as hell and chunky for an apsc camera. Why should the continue making a camera which sold so badly? Doesn’t make any sense.
The screen on the X-T4 is a reason not to get it. The old type was perfect! I hate that everything is about vlogging now. The removal of the metering mode dial is a crime too. It's also not made in Japan anymore!!!!
I agree. I don’t do video. Looks like amateur hour with the flip out screen. Really like the screen on my XT-2. I use it a lot. Let’s me get down low for a lot of nature shots. I may upgrade to an XT-3 but won’t do the 4. Hate they keep trying to turn cameras into video cameras. Just make a video camera.
Have no idea how you could think the earlier camera could be better. Apart from the improvements (IBS, better battery and grip, better shutter mechanism and LCD display) the processor and performance is virtually the same with the XT4. Touch of sour grapes perhaps?

Matthew Lee Jones X-H1 is my favorite for stills as well, above the X-T2 and X-T3...
Awesome video! Recently bought a xt2 on your recommendation and it is great. Still a super great stills camera. 👍
Well in all honesty the image quality is slightly better than the x-t3. Only reason I got the x-t3 is the film simulations.

What is the buffer performance like on the X-T4? how easy is it to switch back and forth between photo and video after taking photos?
What buffering and yes it’s extremely easy.

The X-T4's iso 12,800 is better than my current Canon T3i's 400. Can't wait for the production to catch up, as I have one ordered.

I am looking this camera what do you think? should i wait for canon r5? I know price is very different but for longevity
Which camera should i buy? Fujifilm X-T4 or Sony a6600?
X-t4
Which camera you used for this video ... looks great sharp

Should rent one and try it out. XH1 might feel a bit slow after trying the XT4 but the XT3 might be the one.

Bresson didn't need or cry about a flip screen. Man up and just take photos.

I guess people will always find something to complain about.
How does this hold up to the new Canon R6?
Nice assessment of the both camera's,
Thank you .
Yes agree with you. Should have called it the XH2.
Buddy I've a question , which camera is better for photography ? Fuji xt4 or nikon z7 ... both are around the same price range for brand new now ..
If you just want better image quality, Z7 is a full frame so it will be better.

tnx for the reply. im still checking out reviews and all. i wish i could try a sony camera just to see how it feels ahahaa anyways tnx much
Great informative video thanks 🙏
i compared xt4 to pocket 4k and arri on my channel
My XT4 has some wiring sound coming from the camera, near the lens. Is that normal?
Probably the ibis mechanism working. So I would say normal.
It could be perfect wit no overheating, 4k 10 bit 4:2:2 in h.264 for better grading and 12bit prores / black magic raw
Great user experience review
great video bro
Prefer the xt3 screen but making do on the Xt4, which I just switched to from the a7iii and eos r. Maybe they’ll make the xh line full frame? One can dream right lol
haha I doubt they're gonna start making a whole new line of lenses for full frame
How are you finding the Fuji compared to the Eos r? Any noticeable differences ?
XH2 should have the next gen processor and sensor. Fuji said xt4 processor is almost capped. I guess we wait and see next year.
That was great bro.would you help me between the canon m6 ii vs the canon rp I'll appreciate it if you do a comparison video.
What do you shoot and what's your budget?
I think you have something not correct Fuji is one of masters in photography and they know about this camera more than we do.
Also a review of the canon RF 24_105 f4_7.1
I have the xt2 and lust after the xt4 for it’s screen.Simply because I can flip that shit aroud and forget about it.
No more ugly nose smudgy-screen.
And other than that it’s also more versatil.
Hahaha yeah the nose smudge screen is annoying
very great camera fuji XT4...awesome
Canon RF 24-70 f2.8 vs 24-105 f4
The reason it’s not an XH2 is because the XH2 will come next year at around 38 to 40 megapixels.
Where did you hear that?
Can’t reveal that but watch this space.
Kindly review fuji TX 100
A7iii vs XT-4?? They are the same size lol
My question is, - why are anybody have to buy same size body with a smaller sensor? Dynamic range and sharp image it's all what I am looking for.
