Good runs brah. I said before I daily a '08 SS. Today we had a huge snow storm and even with my Michelin X ice tires it was sketchy. 9th gens si stock aren’t match for nothing, bolt ons and tune the car will do miracles that you didn’t know it can make.. I raced a cobalt SS with a turbo swap he said about 320whp, dude couldn’t believe I took him off a dig and got em by a whole car. I have raced 2 10th gen si, one stock and the other one bolt ons and tune, both 20 and 40 roll.. stock 10th gen has no chance either roll.. but the tune 10th gen gave me a better chance, only beat me once by a bumper for letting limiter bounce (my fault lol).. I’ll say 210 which is fair for my setup but not really, with a good tuner should be around 215 or a bit more.. but when I put my rbc and a few extra upgrades I should be around 220 and then upgrade Tb,intake, rsx oil pump, e85, probably missing some parts but should rocket up to 230 maybe 232whp and 190ish torque.. 9th gens are hard to balance power but fast asf when done..
Cameron Hill I’m watching becuase right now I own a 2015 is 250 f sport and I’m thinking about trading it in for either a si or type r just don’t know if I make it happen now or wait for gen 11
Blayne Gowens well, if you do make it happen right now, the si and Type R both hold their value very very well, so you will have positive equity when the 11th gen comes out
Blayne Gowens yes, I think the changes will be significant. However, I dont thunk they will have the 11th gen until the 2022 model year, since they just did the refresh for the si and Type R this year. They wouldnt refresh them for only 1 year, know what I mean?
@@Camhill182 seems to be pretty awesome stock . I have an ILX i hate so much that ive been using my mustang as a commuter car, so im getting the civic when ilx goes back.

Lolz couldn't find it you guys know what was the name of that episode
5 cars most likely to appreciate or something like that
@@Camhill182 just saw it bruh congrats on been on donut 💪🤘🤙👍
SS Are quick lil cars I’ve gotten mine to do 260 easily with the right tune and right mods u can get them cars to move
do you disable the traction control completely?
I did, yes!
do you have the ktuner?
Jorge De Jesus not yet. Im ordering one this week
Fun stuff. Btw, man I hope you are rev matching on those downshifts lol
Of course I am
Would like to see this Cobalt race your buddies Focus ST!!
Yes
Go with an lnf Cobalt for bolt ons and tune. Go with lsj for an all out build. The lsj has a lot more of an aftermarket than the lnf. Turbo swapped lsj is a lnf's nightmare though
Request Civic 1.5tcp Sedan vs Your civic.
If this video was filmed in Mexico, how come everything at the gas station is written in English?
Liquid Puffin i love you
Would love to see what Hondata/Ktuner can do
This was fun. Really enjoyed the vid.
GM switched from LSJ to LNF due to emissions
Not stock, upgraded intercooler, upgrade the civic intercooler and run them. It makes a big difference.
we are rematching this week! stay tuned
Wow so those SS are pretty quick huh. Anybody know how fast I could make a supercharged one?
With a smaller pulley, intake etc
Pretty fast specially if you go tvs or turbo swap stock motor can handle 450 to 500 whp probably even more
I have a 2005 stage 2, it can do 158 mph. Swap to a TVS and could run 300hp pretty easy.
nice runs! i love seeing you beat on your 2020 before i do lol! just hit 500 miles on my od hahaha! good shit
Haha I knew someone would appreciate this!
Good runs brah. I said before I daily a '08 SS. Today we had a huge snow storm and even with my Michelin X ice tires it was sketchy. Not sure if it's the low end torque or just shit suspension but it handles so bad in the snow. It torque steers all over the place. Sometimes I wish I had a car with a advanced awd system. I think my Camaro was even better in the snow lol. Best kill I had was a c6 vert. I heard him floor it and I had my revs up high enough in 2nd gear to pull him and then nlf into 3rd and he was behind me the whole time. We came up to a light and said ya got me lol. I said it's all good :). My ws6 was faster but the balt is decent.
I appreciate the uploads
Thanks for watching man
Cameron Hill I’m watching becuase right now I own a 2015 is 250 f sport and I’m thinking about trading it in for either a si or type r just don’t know if I make it happen now or wait for gen 11
Blayne Gowens well, if you do make it happen right now, the si and Type R both hold their value very very well, so you will have positive equity when the 11th gen comes out
Cameron Hill do you think they will overhaul the changes in gen 11?
Blayne Gowens yes, I think the changes will be significant. However, I dont thunk they will have the 11th gen until the 2022 model year, since they just did the refresh for the si and Type R this year. They wouldnt refresh them for only 1 year, know what I mean?
What’s the point of racing when you get a head start
did you watch all 4 runs?
The cobalt is close to the same weight and has 260hp . It looked as if the cobalt was sandbagged to make the race seem closer.
the cobalt is lowered. I am now tuned and we're rematching tomorrow
@@Camhill182 awesome. Cobalt is fast but the honda is 1,000,000x better in every other way . Getting the SI sedan in the next few months .
@@Spiritcr1jsher nice! you're going to like it. I'm going to make a video on my recommendation for mods soon
@@Camhill182 seems to be pretty awesome stock . I have an ILX i hate so much that ive been using my mustang as a commuter car, so im getting the civic when ilx goes back.
Miss my ss already
This how far Honda still hasn’t come with the si. Si can be so much more.
It's all about profit and making things look good on paper. The real world is a different story
The problem is about affordability and cost, the cobalt SS youre basically paying for the motor and handling components, whereas the Si has a higher quality interior and luxury tech the Si could be made with 40 more horsepower but then theyd reduce quality in other areas not to mention thats why the type R is where its at on the totem pole if they made the Si as fast as the type R and nobody would buy the Type R its like your own brand competing with itself
Man I can’t wait till you race a 9th gen Cameron cause I have a 2015 si and only have a k&n and the hps silicone air intake tube!!! Feels better with the new intake tube but still need to get hondata and then the invidia q300 exhaust😁👍 ...PS..I also had a 2006 si back in 2009!!! Miss revving over 8k long live the k20 but love the torque of my k24 though😉
I cant wait either. Are you near sacramento?
Cameron Hill no!!! I’m in florida😩
Also you guys need tunes to get power from any of the mods!!
Wonder how a type R would do.
Type R would win by a little bit. I've seen it. If cobalt was tuned he'd walk a type R though.
I recommend lighter wheels, suspension, a better flowing exhaust, headers, and do a ktune
well, I already purchased an exhaust and its finishing up being built right now, and Ktuner is on the way. I love the wheels, so i wont be changing those
@@Camhill182 not bad can't wait for the build, one day we gotta do 8th gen vs 10 gen ;)
Coast Off for sure! Where are you located?
@@Camhill182 sadly on the east coast across the country. But talking about 10th gens, I did hear you mention the low redline has that been causing issues for you?
Coast Off no i dont think i said it was causing issues, but i miss my 9th gen
Chevy switched to the turbos because the contract with Eaton expired and turbo was the cheapest way to keep it boosted.
I have an 07 Cobalt SS but naturally aspirated:/ I really like the feel of those cars , wouldn’t mind me one like that!
Theres no such thing as the car you just described
Yes there is. They made a cobalt ss that is just appearance package.
Cameron Hill yeah dumby
Jorge Crawford oh, well, thats stupid
The wing on the civic jiggles like that as well. The one on my 2019 jiggles and its tightly secures on
Cobalt ss is a beast, tons of torque and good brakes. DP, intercooler and tune make it fast
We need more races fam
They’re coming man. 8th gen, 9th gen, BRZ, etc
We locked in 👀💪🏿
Put a stage 1 tune on
Ktuner JUST came in the mail today! Video will be up within the week with TSP Stage 1 and more racing!
Your AC was on!! Lol j.k. I remember from the other video 😂😂
looney Romero lol damn youve been around for a while! Thats an old video!
The cobalt turbo has the fasted times for FWD car at nurburgring until type r 2.0t came out. Before even watching this im guessing he smoked the Si. The SC mightve been a better race against the Si
You bring that with 10th gen to Vegas and race my stock lnf cobalt.
Nice runs I always wanted an ss tc lil beast of a car
lighter wheels, exhaust system, and a ktuner tune. definitely have to do that again and should be a lot closer towards the ends of those runs! love the videos, 2020 civic sport owner here!
No way Ill ever change the wheels. The stock wheels are badass
@@Camhill182 The Si black wheels are definitely better than any of the other stock civic wheels, I wish I had them for mine!
Turnster89 I still like the others but I just love these stock wheels!
Raced a 2.0l wrx recently and pulled on him 8) but my cobalt is trifecta tuned
30-40 rolls are a bad idea against a cobalt, also 09turbo ss engine code is LNF not LNM
He said lnf, he just mumbles a lot.
I raced a 17 civic si in my lsj saturn and beat it, that was the same gen civic as this one
Intakes DO NOT add horsepower. Throttle response at best.
Are you getting my responses to your comments
You’re kind of a dingleberry
I’m down to run with my 2.0 accord.
Tune only SS should pull slightly on the type r. That si would be good against the supercharged SS
Ktuner is coming in the mail today. Im going to upload a tune to bring my car to 237whp and then sergio and i are gonna race again
@@Camhill182 he needs a tune to gain from any of his bolt ons, the lnf has the learn down feature so won't gain without tune. Looking forward to the video cool man. But seriously tell him he needs a tune, with e85 blend, he would be pretty close to 300 at the wheel
@@aaronmenchinger he knows! he is reading these comments
Did you really just say a Chevy cobalt would pull on a type r?!😂😂😂😂
@@jdm7755 downpipe and E85 blend HP tune only on my 09. Pulled about a car ahead yes
Should run my stock 20 VT next time!
Jedwyn Taasin ok sure. Where you at?
ive owned both cars so this is extra good lol. i got the ss balt i daily drive now
i have cobalt content on my channel brother, ill be bringing you more content. My SS is a DD as well :)
Lsj can handle way more power stock that’s why most people build lsj s and strap a turbo on them
Clutch is slipping already ! I got 283 000 km on original clutch on my 06 ss sc 😉 owned for 11 years
those are good little cars man!
my clutch is also stock on 140,000 miles, check out my channel for more in depth of my SS . reliable cars!
Same only I have a 2005 ss s/c stage 2 with 110,000km. Only the AC is fucked.
So, watching this video, your first problem is VSA is still on and you lost traction. Which means your car dropped all boost from that's 1st - 2nd shift.. You need to google "PEDDLE DANCE" for 10th gen civic Si. and do this again with the SS before tuning your car. You will hold 14psi from 1st - 2nd gear and rip him a new one to the end of 3rd. HUGE difference in these 2020's.
I call it the "Cheat code" lol... its funny actually.
P.S Just turning off VSA by pressing it doesn't actually stop your car from dropping boost. It helps, but still drops boost. This wont help your 2nd-3rd and up.
Traction control was completely off in this video
@@Camhill182 ohh you know, thats right, we discussed the peddle dance on another one of your videos a few weeks back lol.
Go get a 9+ tune from hondata and you will close that gap big time ,you parts are not giving your car nothing till you tune it
The dobert won?
Sweet.
Run a bolt on Srt4 you’d get smoked I like combat SS’S but there heavy and slow I still wanna get one but with the understanding there slow but great races.
Slow car for a slow person. They're not there lol🤦🏽♂️
