Late 2017, there was a war for Masterpiece Megatron KO.
There were quite a few players in the game, a straight-up KO, a metallic paint KO, THF-03, and IT 01.
And it didn’t take much time for fans to vote for IT 01 as the winner of the game, for its strong build materials, necessary modifications, and sturdy paint.
Fast forward to November 2021, Infinite Transformation announced the reissue of IT 01 with two versions, the original IT 01, and a comic version.
And today, let’s talk about this new batch of IT 01 and see how does it compare with the official one.
And talking about faces here’s something I bought years ago but never really used.
Model 001 Megatron LED head.
It came with 6 faces, the two extra faces are the MP 36+ face and a smirking face.
It also comes with a handy display stand for the gun mode, and a nozzle that is compatible with the blasting effect.
But the faces themselves are not compatible with MP 36, the entire head needs to be swapped out.
And when it’s done, it’s like wow, this guy looks menacing, totally worth it.

I've just very recently (yesterday. haha!) stumbled onto your channel and I've got to say, in my opinion, this is the best channel when it comes to Transformers toys reviews, by far. The reviews are on point and useful for the viewing collector, no unnecessary fluff, no cringe-worthy forced humor, just relevant information. The vids and pics are crisp and immaculate, the lighting is superb and that inspires me to improve on my own toy photography skills and set up. The backgrounds are simple but elegant and effective, makes the toy the focus of the viewer. Some reviewers use busy backgrounds or sets which can be very distracting sometimes. Finally, the transformation guide is smooth and precise, shows that the reviewer knows what he/she is doing.
All in all, I'm glad I discovered your channel. Keep doing what you do and hope you get more views and subscribers.They do not know what they are missing.

Excellent coverage on this figure! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the decepticon insignia on both chest plates? Did you apply waterslide decals or use toyhax stickers? the placement of the logo on the battle damaged plate looks clean

I also have that metallic KO which was, in my opinion at least, already slightly better than the original, even though it didn't fix the floppy barrel on his back. Now I can't wait for this IT-01 reissue. I know people have complained about yellowing issues with the previous run, but if I do experience it with the reissue then it's just an excuse to customize it and give him that awesome toy look.
And yes I also have that nifty set of 6 heads just collecting dust in the storeroom lmao

IT 01 does suffer from the materials turning yellow or green due to aging on those unpainted joints, but it's still worth in my opinion, because you do get a solid build, a seamless gun mode, and quite a few thoughtful modifications.
The faces in the LED set is not as sharp, so I never really bothered installing it onto MP 36, and I used this opportunity to get them onto IT 01, and wow, I should've used them earlier.

Yeah man I.T.01 Megatron is a BEAST 😈💪, I bought the str8 ko and when I took him outta the box he couldn't even stand up he would do a str8 split so when thus guy was re-issued i jumped at the chance to get him and boy is he amazing tight joints ratchets everywhere and more die-cast whats not to love, I see u used the premium water decal for the DECEPTICON insignia very nice it looks like it was painted on 🙏🙏📹😁👍
Hi Asaph, happy for your IT 01! And yes, it's an amazing one, in some aspects, IT 01 is actually better than MP 36, good purchase.
It took me 10 minutes to get those decal onto the figure, and it works really well, looking very close to MP 36.

I bought from 2.taobao.com, part of taobao, it's more like eBay, personal sellers.
I also heard some QC issues with this reissued batch, I recommend buying from credible sellers.
Now this is the megatron i want to have fun with in my room,and one day im gonna pick it up off for £99 on Amazon and recreate my favourite scenes😀😀😀

Where did you get this? And when will it release? I've been eyeing the IT-01 but one thing that bothers me is the lack of decepticon logo. I'm now seeing the reissue come with a decepticon logo and would prefer to get this one.
Hi Vinny, this batch of reissue was shipped December 2021 from China, and this logo is a water decal that I applied, Hasbro authorized design company called OceanDesign.

how come yours has decepticon symbols most of the other IT-01 KO's don't have the Decepticon logos on them?
Just got mine in yesterday. Your video was very helpful for me to transform it into gun mode. The only real issue I had was there were a few joints that were frozen (especially the one in the middle of the "crotch" area).
Did that happen to yours when you initially got it? What are the labels you used for your copy?

Yes, it's kinda stiff for the first time, but it gets smoother.
The logo I am using is from Hasbro, a video review of it is coming this week, stay tuned.

Did yours come with decepticon signs pre-applied? they don't look like stickers. Also, are you positive this one is the it-01 reissue? I've seen and heard multiple reports of parts like the hip skirts being too stiff and people breaking it.

It is a sticker, not pre-applied, and yes, I am positive that it is a reissue, I bought from a credible Chinese seller.
Hip skirts are actually pretty smooth, the only issue I had was very tight ab crunch, had to sand it down a bit.

WHOOOOOO!!! Storytime, lads & lasses.
So I was going to get the Toy House Factory THF03 KO of MP36, which had the additional toy style chest plate & face from MP36+...y'know...well before Takara even thought of or announced MP36+. But alas, TF-Direct didn't have it in stock at all, only the clear plastic version, which I had *ZERO* interest in. But then there was ol' IT01...it was fifteen bucks more at the time, but I saw it had the extra back cover plate and the extra fusion cannon that had the English & Chinese dub voice clips (with a purple LED). So I got that, though I wasn't thrilled about not gettin' the toy chest & face, it was either get this or get nothing at all. I do NOT regret gettin' this!! It's not exactly a favorite (doesn't even come close to Soundwave, who's sittin' pretty as my second favorite), but it's definitely well worth it. Wish I could find that Model Master kit...

I also bought the Model 001 Megatron LED head a long time ago, but it won't fit on IT-01. How did you make it fit?
It was a bit tight to mount for the first time, but after that it should be quite alright. So, just have to force it a little bit.

I actually had to use a nail cutter to remove these two pieces inside the BONUS LED head, that were scratching the IT-01 ball peg. The bonus LED head fit after that, but was still hard to put on.
What would you recommend as a "word search," to find the Decepticon labels on your video?
My IT-01 Megatron just needs a quality Decepticon logo to be complete!

So my buddy bought this KO at TFCon last weekend and can't figure out his arm canon mount. He says the part on his arm is on correctly but the canon can only mount backwards.
What is he missing?

I've seen some retailers state 2021 reissue and others were 2022 reissue. Was this figure reissued twice?
I guess it's a single batch released end of 2021 or early 2022.
Oh wow, I didn't know they fixed the ugly looking mess in the back with the KO! Would you say this or MP44 has the more painful transformation? I avoided this and MP44 because the transformations were such a chore.
Hi Scholar, the backplate is an add-on piece, you have to remove it for transformation, but it does help clean things up.
I enjoy MP 36 a lot more than MP 44, there are quite a few wow moments, and I guess it's just requires more ingenious design ideas to create a gun transformation than a semi truck.

I have no idea which 1 i got but im not to fussed as i love it anyway . It has a lose gun barrel in bot mode but all yhings considerec with it been a KO i. Good with that as knock off have come s long eay in the decafe between .y 1st and last purchase of them my 1st was aKO of a extremly popular set of 3rd party insecticons the real versions were smazing i forget who made the. But the KO s were impossible to transform or pretty much pose in general they looked good but thats all compare thst to todays knock offs and WOW.

Hi Luis, IT-01 is becoming more available since IT is making a reissue, you should be able to find it on ebay and other online toy stores, good luck.

Hi Jeff, IT 01 was release a few years back, and got reissued early this year, so it should be readily available in most online stores.

This figure is garbage, they use worthless pins where screws are supposed to be. Trash. If anyone has theirs still sealed, send it back with a big middle finger to the seller.
