I've seen several others who claim to have the World's Largest Off Road Wrecker. I have yet to see any of them besides this one tackle a real off-road recovery. Not to mention climbing rocks like a buggy. That's just beyond amazing. Kudos to Matt and his team. If you can't take it OFF road, it's just a big Wrecker.
That's exactly what I said about Murphy's diesel Hellboy wrecker, claiming the new title of worlds largest off-road wrecker since off-road games 2023. Playing in the sand with bro dozer. That's showboating on a beach.. the MORR heavy wrecker showcasing this is what it's made of, and why it's the world's largest off-road wrecker. I want to see a showdown of those two!
Just thought I’d share the good news with you guys. Special day for me at work today I found a Matt off-road recovery sticker on one of my coworkers toolbox. All the way up here in Aurora Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦 Keep up the good work guys love the videos
Absolutely SMOOTH working together. No cussing, no forehead slapping, no fist pounding, no one shaking their head. There is a job to do so let's do it.
Observations: 1. Matt is clearly a genius: his courage and problem solving skills are beyond impressive. 2. His crew has great faith in him having seen him do the impossible so many times. 3. Seems like the cost of this recovery would exceed the value of the rig they rescued. 4. It's so entertaining to watch! Must see TV!
@@bishwatntlI was sure they were going to need a pulling rig (or at least an anchor) to winch it back up out of there - no WAY it was just driving out under its own power. And I was wrong. 😂
I wasn't expecting a winch out, it was more a case of having an anchor and slowly lowering down into the void, but then, what do I know? :) I suppose Matt's rigs at present don't include anything heavy enough to provide that kind of cover.
Ok First, outstanding job to the crew, that was insane. Second, this maybe one of yalls best filmed and edited videos so outstanding job to that team. Lastly, thank yall for being one of the most wholesome channels out there, it's needed in today's world.

Those harbor Freight Apex winches never fail to impress, especially for their price. I was impressed how well that buggy started & ran completely sideways... I'd be concerned over ability to pump oil on it's side... especially after having sat on it's side awhile waiting for help. The wrecker was at some sketchy angles... Good thing Lizzy was a good welder... almost had to test the roll bar/boom structure. Nice to see Matt's Off road Recovery back doing recovery videos again.

Hi Matt, Kaulin, Rhett, Katelynne & Crew! Well, THAT excelled! What a FANTASTIC TEAM RECOVERY! Working with such a smart Customer had to be quite a relief! What a terrific job with the high-lift! Having the extra green buggy to pull it back really put a bow on the package! Even getting the Wrecker OUT in the end was art! Once again the wrecker earns it's keep, impresses the world and proves Matt's ability to visualize an amazing rig then will it into existence. Well done!
Accusump solves the oil issue. Otherwise it's really just a matter of having enough fuel to keep the fuel pump submerged. Fuel injection is sealed and pressurized from the pump right into the cylinder, or the intake ports if port injection. Either way the orientation isn't going to be of any consequence. Had that been a carburated rig, it may have caused a problem, but maybe not. As long as the jet sprayed fuel, it would start. You would almost certainly get fuel spilling out of the bowl all over the engine bay, and that would be the only hindrance to firing that thing up. You would not want to run it long, as the oiling would be uneven, would run away from the high side of the valve train rather quickly, but other than those few little things, an engine isn't reliant on the orientation. What's way more impressive, to me anyway, is a NASCAR engine running at 8500 rpm for hours nonstop while all the fluids are forced to the opposite side of the vehicle from the left turn. So basically, that would be like starting that stuck rig, planting the throttle firmly on the floor, and leaving it there screaming for two hours before you started and for the duration of the recovery, and it being just fine. 🤯
Reading some of the comments on here make me laugh. You should have done this, or should have done that. With a recovery like this,,,,, there are no plans. If you notice Matt is under full control,, the team follow his instructions. Matt asks for precise information about what is happening below him, then acts accordingly. The winch ropes are designed to take a straight pull, not any side way pressure as done here. Matt repositioned the swivel point a few times to get the desired pull. This was team work at it's best. The team trusted everything Matt told them to do. And Matt truted the team to do this efficiently. It all worked as desired, the buggy was out of their with no significant damage. Matt and the whole team are so great to watch and I learn new stuff all the time. Even the guys who got wedged were no joke, real off-road guys. Can you believe that thing started right up after being totally sideways all that time? Top notch skills and no need to drop 500 F-Bombs every clip. Nice
Absolutely the number one video you’ve ever put out. Matt, you are a genius how your mind works to figure out the angles and the amount power needed to do things is amazing. And is truly the reason you are able to build such amazing vehicles. I enjoy watching the build videos, but I really love the recovery ones.
This was super cool to watch and is a great display of problem solving skills and outside the box thinking. This is what captured my attention on my very first Matt's off-road recovery video, where they were getting an old silverado off of a like 40° degree slope on the side of a gravel road/trail.
AMAZING teamwork by all.! Matt, you're definitely one of, if not THE G.O.A.T. Great job, Matt's Offroad recovery. That tow truck boggles the mind in its capability !!!
I'm pretty sure it's why he kept asking Cody (the cameraman) who is way more use to the wrecker, if every thing looked ok from he's point of view. Impressive team work!
Does anyone else wonder if maybe the driver let out more air pressure if he could have driven backwards with the help of the second buggy? Less air would have helped with the tire wedged, the buggy looked more than capable.
The "World's Largest Wrecker" is such an amazing piece of task oriented engineering....Backed up with the Morvair and the Banana... it's a team that's nearly invincible. Great job guys.

This video is what makes this channel great! Outstanding work, especially the cooperation and teamwork by everyone on the MORR team. Combined with top quality video shooting, and a nice relaxed production without a million cuts, ridiculous music and edits, and just showing in detail every step you take and the reasons why. Love MORR!

I’ve had to take a year off recently in order to fight cancer… However, for my first episode back that I’ve watched in a year, my timing was perfect. It has it all my favorite players, the Morvair, the Banana and the Wrecker! (New people too) Thank y’all so much from the bottom of my heart, for staying positive, consistent and living the dream… … unfortunately, I’ve had to learn a lot more about that recently, the hard way, but I survived! Thankfully, so have y’all too. God bless…
HOLY SH!T and WOW was about all I could say.... what an incredible job!!!! Very nicely done!!! And the owner... getting in there and driving his rig out while it's hanging off a hundred feet of rope is just... WOW!!!!

While most recovery experts would consider something like this “near to, if not impossible” Matt seems, at least in my opinion to look at it as a fun little puzzle that he’s sure he’ll figure out lol! I know from experience having worked for a long time in this field that most of my bosses would have way over done it. Probably tried to bring in excavators or some other type of heavy equipment, and then charged enough to practically retire off the job. Matt’s built different. I’m sure he wouldn’t agree with this but the man has genius level ability. He figures out how to get the job done with the tools at hand. My hats off to Matt and his crew.
Great recovery. You put all your knowledge to the test. One thing though is you need to put something under your cables when they go against something sharp like rocks. This will prevent them from being damaged.
Incredible rescue after Driver Error. That 'Green Buggy' was 'Built' as was the wedged one. Nice travelling companion. Next stop Barber Shop! Nice wet T shirt contest.

Great recovery!
Always like when Peanut gets some screen time.
My mother had a BC too; but Kathy would not go in swimming...she stayed in the house with a/c.
That was possibly your best recovery to watch so far. That wrecker is awesome, we have nothing like that in Australia! 👍
That's some fancy MacGyver shizz happening right there...nice job!
You guys drive vehicles where I wouldn't walk. Lol. I really enjoy your channel. I would enjoy those rocks from a distance through binoculars.
Matt, you should bring the Recker to Australia with the 4wd24/7 group. You will love it I promise 😁😁😁
They couldn’t do that, but for the time that it would need to be on a ship, they need it working jobs
Yeah I understand that but wouldn’t it be great to drive Australian territory and pick up some recovery’s on your way around this beautiful country?
Every time I think I cant be anymore impressed with the Off Road Wrecker, you do something like this, and take it to a whole new level. A great truck, and a great team. Well done guys,,,,,,,,, and gals,.
Looked like a challenging recovery, certainly gave the wrecker a workout and the winches, great job, thanks for sharing, all the best to you all
Great, that green buggy is amazing. Any videos of it anywhere?
Love they plunked an old Jeep hood on it.
Very well done everyone. Amazing what you can do with some ingenuity and the right equipment.
This is a true showcase of how good your equipment is, awesome video
Interesting , Thank You . A fine example of Teamwork , very specalized equipment ,and Knowlege .
I’ve had to take a year off recently in order to fight cancer… However, for my first episode back that I’ve watched in a year, my timing was perfect. It has it all my favorite players, the Morvair, the Banana and the Wrecker! (New people too) Thank y’all so much from the bottom of my heart, for staying positive, consistent and living the dream…
… unfortunately, I’ve had to learn a lot more about that recently, the hard way, but I survived! Thankfully, so have y’all too. God bless…
HOLY SH!T and WOW was about all I could say.... what an incredible job!!!! Very nicely done!!! And the owner... getting in there and driving his rig out while it's hanging off a hundred feet of rope is just... WOW!!!!
Cool stuff, you guys are good at what you do. If you ever find yourself in New Zealand it'd be a blast to take you Jet boating in one of our wild rivers, something foreign to you in Utah I'm sure. Motorsport of a different kind. Have learned a lot watching this channel over the past couple of years. God bless
The kiwi jet boat scene is wild. My mate has a 2 rotor that revs to 10k in his jetboat and it sounds amazing on the water
They can travel a few hours north to Idaho for some crazy Jet Boating, but New Zealand does sound great for that and hunting and outdoor beauty!
@@gruanger Fair play, I happen to be a commercial hunter by trade so yep i very much agree with what you mention there. What i have learned here on this channel has come in handy for the offroading I do, its not on the same degree as this by any stretch but still technical
Or marlin fishing, or bush bashing in a lifted 80 series :-)
Where in NZ?? Town??
That looks like it would be a spendy recovery
I can't imagine that being any less than $3k.
Will it pay itself back in beer stories? 🤔
I was wondering why he didn't just walk away? Walk home and build a new buggy..
P.S I'm only joking! (For the 15 people that don't understand sarcasm.)
If you can afford to build one of these rigs then you can probably afford the recovery
ANY kind of off road play is spendy from the get go.
If you put it all in the rig, with no uhoh fund on the side, you're a gambler.
Loved the edit of that sketch drop to show the far off view and Kaitlyn just utters "Holy" - solidly conveyed the difficulty to everyone out there - good stuff
One of the few recoveries with all three rigs out. Well executed, very technical recovery. Excellent team work and problem solving. This is one of the rare times when I can see the rear steer of the wrecker making a big difference driving back out of the canyon.
Matt: "So Rory backed up the chute? I'm backing off a cliff!"
Definitely a "Hold by beer" moment!
@@labroy74 Hold my Mountain Dew. We are talking about Southern Utah.
@@bbl69420 Mormonism is weird -- hot caffeinated beverage: NO, that's bad for you; cold caffeinated beverage: sure, drink up. Talk about rules not based in logic or reason. And I would never subscribe to a religion that tells me what to eat or drink -- any of them.
Riveting, Siskel and Ebert two thumbs up
Hey, you can't park that there!
Good job team MORR definitely a text book Trail Mater style recovery and one heck of a great learning experience. The Off Road Wrecker did what is was made for in Sand Hollow and anywhere else. Again Thanks for the video.
Great recovery!!
Love how right before you say , were gonna get the wrecker out now,, Peanut is chillin under the overhang in the shade!! Smart doggy!!
Keep up the great videos!!
Just about when I think that they have done all the possible rescues, they pull off something like this. WOW!
Keep up with the good work matt an team love watching you on RUclips God bless
Watching yall during the hurricane, from St Pete Florida
I just wanted to say the crawler being recovered was pretty sweet too, probably hard to get stuck to start with lol. Good content.
Holy Crap Matt! Whatever it cost you to build The Wrecker, it is worth every penny! That was the coolest thing you have done on this channel! Love that thing.
Awesome watching the whole convoy rolling out!
And they used all three vehicles, plus a friend of the client's buggy. That's pretty stuck all right.
I think this is one of the Hardest. recoveries I've ever seen on your channel.
WOW!
No other words can express my thoughts! I mean I was literally on the edge of my chair with my butthole puckering! You guys are absolutely amazing! And the wrecker is nothing short of a Monster!
Wow, this was seriously impressive work! Great job by the whole crew. Just driving there and getting into position is already crazy. But getting that buggy out, that was next level. I'm seriously impressed. Can't wait for more.
The "MORRtivator" was Back in full swing on this one. It tool brains and brawn to 'get this 1 out'. All that time working and not 1 said, 'Sir, you can't park there, especially like that'.? Missed opportunity for sure. Great work MORR team ! A cooling dip after 100f and hot rocks underfoot was what's needed...on the way to buy shakes.
Well done! That's was alot of fun!
Owner seriously said “ I should be able to drive out of this”
f he had a big airbag he probably could have too!
The buggy is designed for that. he could have if the right wheel was not wedged
Yeah he should have been able to drive out of that. Just got it more wedged than he realized.
Maybe an air bladder would help in a situation like that.
can we say big pucker factor!!!
Peanut is the goodest dog
WOW!! What a great job by the whole crew! That was one heck of a rigging job for sure. That wrecker is UNREAL!
The wrecker is just like a spider. Goes where it wants through all cracks and crevices and over any obstacles no it’s way. Truly amazing machine. Would be a dream to see it working like this in person. Love it. From when all y’all had was the banana to now having the Morrvair and the wrecker doing absolutely amazing work as a team.
