You've got to love Katelynn's unending optimism. Oh, yeah, and she's a heck of a wheeler too, calm confidence and lots of experience! Good spotting by Colby, too..
Would love to see a drive off between her and Matt with buggies. I would imagine that overall they are a match, just different skill sets. Anyone willing to take a jeep off a 30' cliff and react "get that on film?"... :)
Jake has been a great addition to MORR. He keeps it light and humorous but also brings positivity, good camera presence and a willingness to learn. More scenes with Jake would be appreciated.😊
@@Group_Anonymous This is incorrect, it is illegal to destroy Saguaro Cacti but what they did in the previous video (Which was a sample in this video) isn't illegal as that was not a Saguaro Cactus, that was a Cholla Cactus (Or a species of said cactus) and they are not endangered. This is the type of content that brought me to this channel. And it also shows a little bit more about why we like Matt in particular. He's not just an off-road guy or a build rigs guy, but he's also a development of people guy. In the five years or so that I've watched this channel, I've seen a number of people come and go. But the new people that he raises up consistently get the job done, and most of the people that go are leaving better off than they were when they got there.
Fully agreed,I have started missing the build stuff cos you cannot beat the nugget, but recovering is still on point, yes love Rory too and his godlike ability, but Matt's crew (thanks in big part to Matt) provide a great long term watching experience for us guys, watching 5 year's and will continue while the content stays wholesome
This has to be one of the best MORR series to date. These were give a job and they conquered it with skill, fun, and lots of wisdom shared by Matt over the seasons, and it showed. I personally would love to see mote rescues with these three. Great job and what great video.
Seeing them 3 on a rescue mission this complex is soooo soothing! Katelyn DEFINITELY have strong leadership abilities and a confident, fearless without being reckless way of thinking "I'm not sure how this is gonna go, but we'll give it a try and we'll do it". Her willingness to give Colby the winch management was such a great showing of leadership, since Colby had the ideal POV to evaluate the whole situation in real-time. This is what an experienced and confident leader should be able to do, which is manage resources and empower everyone. Some experienced leaders still have difficulty doing this... MUCH props to her parents for her education childhood and teenage years education, and to Matt to trust and empowers his staff the right way and let them accomplish those tough jobs by themselves.
Why do women always over emphasize a women role in something to the point of absolutely lying to them self and anyone who reads their thoughts. Ma'aann women be bonkers these days, cant wait till they all go back to staying indoorsnursing their eating disorders while cutting their thighs, thankfully this level of female absurdity will end soon enough, women with greater then half a brain are fighting back against this type of BS..
Lots to unpack on this video. First, there was Colby, often doing double (or triple) duty and still managing to tell the story well. Then Jake, who looks terror in the face with a huge smile, a few corny jokes, and an upbeat attitude. And lastly Katelynn, making frightened "ahh!" exclamations like a little girl, yet all the while smiling and piloting the Banana like the expert off-road driver she is. This recovery shows that all three of you have learned a lot working with Matt, which reflects positively on the teacher as much as it does the students. Matt has amazing vehicles, a wonderful family, and a crew that can't be beat. Kudos to you all!
Katelynn is an absolute star! Not only does she wheel better than a lot of people twice her age; but her attitude is always positive and she never seems to get flustered by anything. Colby and Jake did a fine job, too. And the Banana was, as usual, an absolute trooper of a rig. There were a couple of moments when I was thinking the crew might have been better off with the Morrvair or the wrecker, because of their bigger wheels and greater ground clearance; but then I remembered that both of them are wider than the Banana, and it was a tight squeeze in places to get the Banana down that trail.
Now I enjoyed that! Caitlin's skill and confidence is great. Jake is the best faithful sidekick. And who knew Colby was the Sage of Wisdom and Wielder of the Scepter of Winchness?
I would have been nervous on those cliffs &running low on gas too. You all did great, TEAM! Working together got it done. So proud of you all! Q: do you not have a Jeri can you could mount inside the back for trips like this? just saying. Having an extra few gallon of gas could mean the difference.

This was one of my favorite recoveries ever! Great teamwork! Matt should be proud of all the training he has given this crew to be able to accomplish the recovery so perfectly!

At times I was on the edge of my seat biting my nails and other times I was chuckling at the humor and the wittiness. At the end of the video, I was cheering the heroes. Really entertaining video that had me rooting and fretting. Katelynn, you rock!
Matt! What a team you’ve build. All those jobs where you sat in the passenger seat, teaching and them learning, payed off. I know you got a lot of slack, and speculation that you’re hanging the gloves. But Today’s job goes to show. Always empower! To the team. You were amazing, years of learning, observing and taking notes together with perfect application awards you a golden star and a hats off. When Katelynn came on board she was quiet, cheerful, with an absorbing brain. A year later and she has shown the world that she is skilled at off-road driving and a take charge leader who innately shows a knack for delegating her authority. Kudos to the rest of Matt's gang for helping get them out! Also, has anyone else noticed that someone on the crew is taking charge of logistics. I notice that when Katelynn is along they always have t-shirts, the proper rigging, and spare water. Matt, keep on keeping on.
I really appreciate Colby’s attitude and calm demeanor. Matt’s experience and steady hand has provided a safety net for the rest of the crew, and some confidence building will only do them good at this point.
Just left Zion/Sand hollow on our last vacation day. Ran into Jamie/Matt/Jake unexpectedly after off-roading all day in amazing backcountry and as a fan had an epic moment meeting them. Huge admiration and props to Katelynn. We she came onboard the comments were filled with naysayers who cried "Nepotism" and "Unqualified". Without verbally addressing even one of them she has quieted them to crickets by showing her incredible experience, qualifications, and never ending positivity. Motivation is contagious and Matt's team abounds with it. Thanks for sharing your days.

Good team work MORR! Today (October 2) is the 65th anniversary of the public introduction of the Chevrolet Corvair! I drove one of my '65 Corvairs to work to celebrate! Then I got home and drove one of my Rampsides!
Wow! Way to crush it. Im sure Matt is extremely proud of you three. I have watched this channel for years, and this is one of the best episodes. Katelynn is so cute! Skilled and confident, as well. Great job!
Truly one of the most intense episodes I have seen. This one is right up there with recovering the Nugget, the episode with the Chevy that Fab Rats helped with, and one of the last episodes we saw Trevor and Tucker where it seemed like half the crew could have died. Good job you all!
Teamwork makes the dream work! Well done team, and well done Colby for great spotting and awesome camera work, Kaitlyn we have full confidence in your driving but please don't roll the Banana. Jake, you continue to inspire, and that was a great decision to go into the unknown.
This is one of my favorite episodes ever! I like to watch Matt work through tough jobs but this is fun to watch because they are on their own. Nice job team!
5-star rating for the better than B team. You gotta love we're in a time when 2 young guys and 1 young girl go out and when the trail gets hard the girl takes over. Great job Kaitlyn!
Matt!! Caitlin is an experienced and level headed woman and Jake and company did an EXCELLENT job while Caitlin used her expertise in negotiating the difficult terrain. Jake will attest to your teaching examples to negotiate the trio out of there with the incredible display of skill shown by Caitlin. What a woman!!
I succeeded in my journey from Ohio to visit Matt’s Off-road Recovery. Drove approximately 375 miles from Orange County, CA and got to see the compound. Bought a couple of T-shirts and a Morrvair. Got to see the Wrecker, Morrvair, Spud truck, and Peanut, Jamie & Jake. Everybody was so nice. What a great channel. Thank you, you made an old man happy.
Wow, it's been a year since Caitlyn joined the team. Doesn't seem like it's been that long. Her off-road skills and experience really came into play on this one. Colby spotting and filming and communications director. Cactus Jake was entertaining as always. Good job all.
I was like “man They’re out of town and got a sketchy trail to the vehicle in need. What are they going to do?” Then I remembered Katelyn is a professional rock crawler. What an ace to keep up your sleeve.
As a business owner it’s great to see employees work hard using the lessons taught and seeing them be successful working together. Im sure Matt really loves seeing these results!
What a great team! Happy one year anniversary to Katelynn! What a great addition she has been to the team. Great to see Colby involved and what a job he did with the video while wearing a couple different hats. Go Jake!
It was great meeting some of you on our visit to St George last month. And yes, these folks are as nice in person as they are on video! IT was awesome seeing Jake, Colby and Katelynn kill it on this recovery! Y'all got'em out!!!!!
Epic recovery with the new stars of MORR Caitlyn has remarkable skills with Colby his calm demeanor add Jake's positive attitude brings this to a classic episode.
MATT>>This CREW NEEDS a SAMURAI, please! >>>OK, NOW THAT WAS A PREMIUM RECOVERY, even by MORR STANDARDS!! These three PROFESSIONALS worked together like peanut butter & jelly! SO HAPPY to see Katelynne step up & handle the toughest, tough driving! Kolby mastered the winch, cameras, and spotting>> A Trifecta! And Jake was TERRIFIC managing the side by side! I see a GREAT FUTURE for this Threesome! Turn them loose. Matt! They "graduated" on this JOB!
[Edit] GREAT JOB! When the customer sees that video, they are going to be blown away. I forget that not everyone was a scout or military. You get trained to bring extra whenever possible. Grabbing some extra fuel in a container, water, even candy bars in case you get stuck or come across some who may be in severe danger of dying out in the hills especially only takes a little longer but, it's worth it.
Damn! That's one of the best recovery videos I've seen here in a while. Hell everybody just stepped up and got 'er done. Colby outdid some camera work and spotted and ran the winch! Jake probably had to change his drawers we will never know how many times off camera, lol. 'wink', 'wink'. And Katelynn(?) hardly needs any spotting at all. Reminds me of; me. MATT!!!! Give them all a raise! Or a bonus for this one.
The Team did amazing out there. Love to see them working so well together. The whole MORR Team is very well prepared and suited to these types of recoveries - and others.
Katelynn is a stone cold gangsta behind the wheel. And kudos to Jake for not being too proud to ask for help when he realized he was getting over his head. Great job everyone!
Impressed with Katelyn’s skills going up and down those steep grades. Awesome spotting job from Colby and Jake controlling the side by side, that requires skills to just rely from the pull and gravity. Matt created a monster crew! A very good, talented, humble and thoughtful monsters! 🤙🏼
WHAT A TEAM!!! Caitlin, Jake, Colby!! That was an incredible adventure. Congrats to the team and congrats to Matt for assembling and teaching that team!! Loved it!!!
Great video and great job guys! Some constructive criticism. Colby is a natural leader, that much is very obvious, he's calm, and seemed to provide good direction. Katelyn your a great driver but, you often go too fast on downhill obstacles, and to slow uphill ones, you just need to tweak that a bit and your golden. Jake be confident brother, you have grown tremendously, and your upbeat nature is fantastic, don't ever lose that man, it's so rare.
This is what Matt's stern and great training does in the end. He trained one hell of a crew and the future of Matt's off road recovery is bright. Keep it up MORR crew.
Wow, what a rescue! Awesome job Katelyn, Jake and Colby! What great attitudes, calm approach, and teamwork. I was so tense watching this - it felt like some of the great old episodes with good old fashioned ridiculously hard rescues.
Veni, vidi, vici! What a fantastic video, almost like a coming of age. A great trio of team members, from infectious positivity, genuine trepidation, and thought-provoking soulfulness. Possibly the best video of 2024!
Good job! Kolby is a great asset to the team. He's doing great job as a spotter while filming at the same time. It's good to have a cameraman who knows how to wheel.
What a great rescue, and team. Most of that trial seemed impossible to do with the Banana, what a capable truck, and then to do it while towing another vehicle, is incredible, amusingly skilled crew.
Matt, you should be proud of these three, they did a great job figuring out what to do, when to do it, and made a safe recovery for all. Kudo's to them!!!
So happy to see Katelyn take charge without any hesitation. You can tell she has taken everything Matt has ever taught her and put it to use in this top notch recovery.
I've been watching so long. I feel connected to these kids. So proud of all them, they really applied all they have learned from Matt and overcame so many challenges and their own fears. What a great video. These kids should have different colored shirts that let people know... these people are off-road recovery professionals. Or ORRP. 😊
Caitlin's driving skills are dope! I don't like riding when someone else is driving, but I'd go with Caitlin driving into the back country, no problem.
Like others- this was one of my favorite videos. I really love sunday shop videos- but this was awesome to see the newbies come together as a team without the guidance of matt. You guys rock!
What a crew! Loved this episode, you three are great together and Matt, your path to retirement is easy, these guys have it nailed! You are all so fortunate to have the land and scenery so good and to be able to roam around it in vehicles! Here in Scotland you can roam on foot but vehicles are out because of land ownership. I'm going to come over one day and get an inappropriate vehicle stuck on purpose, I could buy a t-shirt but that's no fun is it!
I can respect Jake for speaking up when he was not comfortable driving the trail any longer. Instead of just going for it and something bad happening. Also, I can completely relate with Colby when he was talking about the difference between having Matt on a job and then doing all the things he taught them on their own. I have the same experience when I do jobs with a lead guy, and when I do jobs by myself (electrical)
Watching this young crew grow with skills...is a fantastic sight......with Katelynn driving.....there is no doubt in driving trails.....her experience gives her all she needs to pull this off.....land of the unknown will surely add to your skills.....
Happy one year with MORR Katelynn !! Colby n Jack great as always, love the playfulness & just enough professionalism to get the job done. P.S Rest In Pieces to Kaulin’s Pay-Day lol
Well done crew! 1. Take food. 2. Take some spare fuel (even if just for the side by side). 3. Take some cool/cold weather gear...if you end up camping, you will NEED it.
Always plan for the worst. Matt always gets food when he stops at Maverick. I gave NEVER seen them carry extra fuel. Driving that SBS without PS would have been extremely difficult in that terrain.
Love that trail... lol Looks like total adventure and fun. These guys did it justice!!! I really enjoyed off roading similar to this, but cancer has me pretty well sidelined. So living through these videos does my heart good. Thank you, Matt and Company!!! Katelynn.... keep up the great work!!
Colby, Jake, and Katlin GREAT JOB!!! Not only did you get them out You made one heck of a good video to watch. Thanks and don’t forget BeWell and StaySafe OutThere ✌️
I think the B team might have just shown us they are the NEW B+ TEAM! I wanted to give you A- but I know you all got more levels than that to ya! So fun to watch and see the progression. And as a side note the moment I start thinking "Caitlin might want to take this one a bit easy", op what-OK, she"s already done!
I don't know if the Samoori would have done it without a lot of winching. They only weigh about one ton or less. The Banana needed the weight for traction.
Trial by fire, a worthy test of all Matt's team training in a very challenging recovery. Great performance by all team members. Great spotting by Colby, Katelyn and Jake's great driving, and using all the skills learned and applied efficiently. Great job guys.
You can no longer call yourselves the " B" team !! You're now the "A"lternative 'A' team and you all earned it!! Huge KUDOS to Jonah for his editing & adding the cartoons and extra film clips spots! That made it even MORR fun! :-)
I must say that is by far the most technical recovery I have seen without Matt present. Great decision making, teamwork and execution. And what a great job on making a captivating video which makes the entire process much more conplicated. Well done. 10/10!
I think that they planned that ahead of time. Katelynn is the team's crawling specialist. He drove to start with, until things started getting sketchy, so she was ready and rested when her talents were needed. Then he took over again when they got to the gate and back on smooth gravel. That is professional use of available resources.
The SxS owner is soooo fortunate there is a recovery company and team that could get up that mountain and recover that vehicle. Great job Katelynn, Colby and Jake. Y’all work great together.
This was a great video. Great crew, great adventure, great camera work and rescue coordination, great vibe, great editing. And you guys are a credit to Matt's training and philosophies, because he wasn't there, and you made him proud. A fun watch and a very relaxed and confident vibe. Awesome Sauce.

Hey you and Tina seem to be on the same page!?
Cactus Jake !! Gota love that name !!
Great work guys. Very impressed. Pulled off the recovery and kept the story telling going as well. Solid video!
This is what I've really been waiting for- Katelynn's time to shine... and boy, did she! This trio was great together!!!
Yep. She's got deep experience with rock crawling, and did this calmly and skillfully.
Best rescue ever! Expert driving the Banana and all working together to make a very difficult rescue happen. Matt should be proud.
What a great team! Happy one year anniversary to Katelynn! What a great addition she has been to the team. Great to see Colby involved and what a job he did with the video while wearing a couple different hats. Go Jake!
That was just flat out amazingly fun to watch. These three are a “Team” the “A” Team. Thanks to all.
Way to go MORR crew! I love all of the personalities of the crew.
Matt - you should be so proud!
It's funny to me that Matt is in California looking for Gold and all He has to do is look at this crew. That's solid Gold.
Go Katelynn. Her years of wheeling and skill certainly paid off, on this job. Not to mention she looks cute, too.
Congratulations Katelynn on not only Surviving one year of sketchy recoveries , but making them fun and interesting !
That is what a crew should do when the boss isn't there. The Job‼️and a good one by all involved. Shows what a good leader you are, Matt.
Also, happy 1 year work anniversary Katelyn! You’ve been a nice addition to the team
If Matt's chest isn't busting with pride watching this incredible recovery, he isn't the man I know he is! This was phenomenal! GOAT!
What a crew!!!! they did amazing!!! Katelynn is such a cool operator!!! She is great under pressure.. I hope she makes you all proud!!!
Need? What you need is a nationally ranked pro class offroad driver at the wheel, Katelynn eats rocks like those for breakfast. Good job everyone.
I want to see her in a 1,000 horsepower Rock bouncer.. not a rock crawler
What a great rescue, and team. Most of that trial seemed impossible to do with the Banana, what a capable truck, and then to do it while towing another vehicle, is incredible, amusingly skilled crew.
The three of you did one heck of a rescue through some pretty sketchy trails. You work well together.
I live in Lancaster UK and I have done a bit of roading, but I think I would bottle it doing what Katelyn did.
This has got to be one of your best videos. Awesome recovery, awesome job by the crew, and fantastic editing. I was well entertained.
This crew has really grown in confidence and skills 👏! Great test for them on this. So proud! 🥰
Happy one year with MORR Katelynn !! Colby n Jack great as always, love the playfulness & just enough professionalism to get the job done. P.S Rest In Pieces to Kaulin’s Pay-Day lol
Had to laugh when Katelynn said "things are getting serious time to tie the hair up" at 9:04, great driving and teamwork from all three!
I think Matts off-road recovery has the best film editor in RUclips thumbs up to him or her❤
Jonah and company edit the heck out of the videos.
The main editor is Jonah. He's in the videos from time to time too, when joins in on recoveries as a cameraman usually.
Terrific editing
Love that trail... lol Looks like total adventure and fun. These guys did it justice!!! I really enjoyed off roading similar to this, but cancer has me pretty well sidelined. So living through these videos does my heart good. Thank you, Matt and Company!!! Katelynn.... keep up the great work!!
Colby, Jake, and Katlin
GREAT JOB!!!
Not only did you get them out
You made one heck of a good video to watch.
Thanks
and
don’t forget

StaySafe OutThere ✌️
This is what the videos use to be like, great.
WOW. Enough said. Matt's training is front and center. The fruits of his training are front and center.. This is why I follow. What a legacy.
Awesome job A Team. Challenging terrain you all kept cool, safe and you got 'em out. I know the boss will be very proud when he sees this.
2:57 Matt, we need the samurai!
And let Sandro fk with that van!
Oh wait, wrong channel.
I don't know if the Samoori would have done it without a lot of winching. They only weigh about one ton or less. The Banana needed the weight for traction.
I was thinking a chain saw! 😁
@@PavelKostromitinov😂 There is no wrong channel for Sandro
@@georgevindo yeah, but it would be fun to watch it tryin
Congrats to you 3 for problem solving and working together on a difficult recovery!
There's a reason Katelyn is a national champion!🎉 And Colby's spotting is spot on!
I must say that is by far the most technical recovery I have seen without Matt present. Great decision making, teamwork and execution. And what a great job on making a captivating video which makes the entire process much more conplicated. Well done. 10/10!
I love that Jake knew when to tap out. I love you , Man. You got the sauce. What a Fantastic team!
Kaitlin is certainly a capable driver. Great teamwork.
Damn Katelyn needs a MASSIVE bonus for that job. In fact they ALL do!
The previous comments are spot-on.
Additionally, I was impressed by the top-notch storytelling and editing. Jake's constant humor and upbeat attitude further enhance the viewing experience. Well done you all!
You kids did great. I hope Matt is proud of y’all. He taught y’all great.
