You're right about Elisia already being supported by the producers to debut and having a strong fanbase in the Philippines. But the challenge is for her to build a sufficient fanbase in South Korea if she wants to go far in the Kpop industry. Korean fans are notorious for their negative perspective regarding foreign idols and trainees. So having Elisia showcase her remarkable skills in a survival show could help.
I'm not sure where you are getting your information but as a Korean, I can say there is a rise of foreign idols and a great support for them in Korea right now. Why do you think we're even having Universe Ticket. Not just in the K-pop industry but in most shows and competitions, we would like to see more non-Koreans getting involved. While I agree Korean fans can be toxic, so can SEA fans.
@@darkapaulwhile I respect your perspective, I can also see why foreign contestants would have to work harder to capture the SK audience, especially those from SEA. I’ve literally read a number of comments coming from SKs expressing their dismay that a lot of foreign members debuted in universe ticket. Specifically that there will be 2 filipinos debuting. (It was on a reaction video of a SK producer here on YT)
@@yabaiii3122but they actually forget that belle is also half Filipino which she said during her cigniture days 😅.... I can't help but to agree with you.. It was my first time seeing Filipino won an actual show coz everytime I see Filipinos who join a Korean show they always end up losing despite their great talent.
@@darkapaulAs much as I agree, I feel like this is more of a "two sides of the same coin" type of situation. It's true that lately foreign idols have been receiving more support from the Korean public, which is very important but there is still a large part that doesn't exactly accept them in the industry. (and honestly, as a foreigner, I don't think I'm allowed to say if that's objectively bad or good tbh) It wouldn't change the fact that foreign idols still do have to work especially harder if they want to capture the Korean public, the public that is arguably the most important of them all and will only really allow groups or soloists to go to higher places with the support of that same public.
i think the main issue with this lineup is the ginormous age gap. putting children with a grown adult women is awkward and limits the group from reaching its full potential.
How can someone's age restrict the groups potential?? That makes no sense at all. Belle (Hyeonju) always guided the other girls, put them ahead of herself and tried to make sure they all performed well as a group in every group she was in. The girls even appreciated her leadership skills. If anything, she's a gem that can guide the group. Lets not forget that she already made her debut, having someone like that in a group of rookies is a big power weapon, she can protect these girls from the unknown troubles of being an idol as they are new to being idols. So please, don't say someone's age is awkward and can cause failure. Every member in UNIS is very talented...if you can't see that coz you so caught up on the age gap then I'm afraid this group ain't for you.
@@babycaratnomii8764I think they mean it hinders the group from doing certain concepts cause Hyeonju is too old for the cutesy concept and Seowon is too young for Girl Crush and some concepts
@@panda.9712 when do u knows remember 12 years old girl audition name sm entertainment are multi talented solo female singer in the past debut 2001 she was BOA in the youtube search.
Gehlee is a solid money-making package of the group (international level at that).. A new group definitely needs a 'Gehlee' to bring more money in.. Yes, I know that the other members can definitely bring money into the company (that's for sure) but she will surely bring MORE MORE MORE MONEY 💵!!! (and that's important for a group's survivable) 😊😁 - resting sad face, pretty uncommon ✅ - deep articulated vocals/timbre that contradicts outer appearance (e.g. Yuqi/Felix) ✅ - Beauty Queen demeanour ✅ - charismatic w/ alluring smile, can be cute, emotional or fierce (not a simple overly cringey IT Girl)✅ - professionalism, hard-worker, good character ✅ I just hope that the company will not force her to do excessive cringey 'IT Girl' role. She's an INFP for god's sake and her resting sad face w/ alluring smile is just fine haha.
The way Gehlee got the longest commentary in this vid gives me excitement towards her Unis journey. Thank you for the kind words and constructive criticisms about Gehlee.
Nana had star quality since her audition! She's the whole package tbh. Also, she knows how to capture the attention and set the mood as the center. I agree that she needs to practice more her singing, but she's already so good and stable dancing fiercely while singing. I know she'll be even better in no time.
@@miku6448girlie doesn’t really know how to smile or she’s not someone who smiles often, that’s why you find her stoic expression cocky. look at her universe ticket profile, her smile kinda looks awkward although she definitely looks gorgeous.
Nana's dancing skills is remarkable. As for her personality, I think she exudes a mysterious vibes. But I think it would be better if she opens up more.
Time is the ultimate truth teller, just hoping that the company takes care of these kids, esp their mental health and protect them against the harsh realities of social media hate and bashing. Also hoping that they’re the last of the company to debut contestants this young and put a law in place to protect these minors. I hate to see them in a documentary somewhere 5 years from now, explaining how they were stripped off their childhood and wished they waited few more years… same narrative
i agree. everyone is saying that seowon has been famous since she was 6 and the unicorns kept saying she was born to be an idol, but that’s a bit sad. to have your whole life be tailored specifically for this industry and you’re still only 12/13. her upbringing is already abnormal. i hope when she’s in her 20s she doesn’t have regrets
The amount of detail to the researcher of this video is insane. Kudos. UNIS has difficult challenges ahead of them but with great support they are unstoppable.
I’m so surprised that Narumi didn’t debut. I thought she was solid the whole show. Stable vocalist, amazing dancer. Happy that Gahlee and Elisa made the debut team 💖
My thoughts too. There are more suitable members that are not picked . I am also wondering what if the unicorns did not vote yunha will she ever debut her prism circle's was the only one which wasn't t revealed in the finale wonder if someone made it than her
ELISIA! 💕 She's so talented. 🥰 One more good thing about her, she is so humble. She never mentioned that she is the best but obviously she is. She nailed all her performances. Even in the eyes of the mentors and producers.
I only heard about Universe Ticket because Gehlee. I became an instant fan due to her natural charisma. I felt worried because apart from having this star factor, she does comparatively perform less vs the other girls. However, like Hyoyeon mentioned, she's already a star when she's onstage and it would be a definite shame if they let her go just because she's not skill-efficient. There are lots of other KPop idols that are fan-attractors or have moved to acting, modelling, hosting, etc. This marketable uniqueness cannot be developed, and I was just proud and happy that she's shining throughout the show. Didn't expect her to debut but glad she did! P.S. I love how you critiqued Gehlee in this video.
I really love the analysis on Kotoko. Very few people realize that a group, especially a k-pop group, doesn't need all members to be a vocal powerhouse. I love how you pointed out that Kotoko can fill in a niche in the group and it's so true. Her voice is workable enough and has shown some decent and pleasant moments on the show. Along with Gehlee and Hyeonju, her tone is also on the unique side and will surely be useful for the group and can make songs more interesting.
I hope that people won't be too harsh about Seowon's debut here. I'm also not really into such young people debuting in groups, but there can be some situations where they are prepared for this. I mean, she appears in different shows since many years, she has amazing skills in singing and her dancing improved a lot here. For me she totally deverses a spot in the group and will be well surrounded with all these girls. She seems quite close to Elisia, who's also a main singer, so they can lean on each other, she worked with Hyeonju and she took care or her and appreciate each other. And globally, most of them were already in the entertainment industry, so same life path : Elisia : theater, music, actress, and such, Gehlee (miss shows), Yoona (tv show), Hyeonju (idol, trainee), and so on. I can't wait to see what they're going to show us !
I agree, she's the youngest but her experience is something that cannot be denied.. she actually has a lot of advantages over her teammates: a fanbase that has been with her forever, an identity with her natural voice and talent, and plenty of room for growth.. Hope Unis becomes a good channel for her improvement
thank you for being one of the 5 people who acknowledge that kotoko isn't the most skilled member without denying that she is a good addition to this group
@@sunoosimp4718honestly it is possible for her to be a favoured visual in 5th gen. The judges who were korean were really drawn in by her visuals, people called herba fairy ect. Yes she doesnt fall into kbs so much but she has visuals that can draw the korean crowd in if she uses them properly
@@Boyslovesnapshot no..they were called by order from where they were standing base on their previous ranking...those who were called first were R then I..
Quite a straight forward and well balanced review. I think you did them all justice. Personally I think the lineup is very solid and I don't think age gap will matter in the long run. Unis is only going up from here on
for me i think it's good that there's someone older in the group cause hyeonju has alot of experience and has a great leadership so i dont think her age will affect the entire group, some of you are just making a big deal over nothing and at the end it's the production of and good music that counts.
@@Hannah-vt7lc not to mention there's a 13-year-old. seowon might be experienced in the industry but she still needs to be guided. it's going to be tough
I believe Hyeonju will persevere. She reminds me so much of Izone Eunbi. Mom to 11 kids, 7 were minors, yet in the end she created 2 leaders of the most prominent 4th gen group. Hyeonju will do good.
@@Hannah-vt7lc Yes, age gaps can be challenging, but at the end of the day, it's the connections we have that truly matter. In the episode, she was able to form meaningful relationships with people of different ages and connect with them both on a physical and mental level. That's what really matters
I like your review. You did not only highlighted their strenghts but also mentioned their weaknesses and potentials. I love how you pointed out Nana's vocals but will surely be a great all-rounder when polished. Same with Kotoko and Gehlee's dancing. So far, this is the best review ive read.
with yunha, elisia, seowon and hyeonju who can easily be a main vocal in any other gg + the other members who can fit lead vocal roles like gehlee and yoona, i think UNIS will be leaning towards to a more vocal forward group. Overall, im quite satisfied with this line up though i seriously hoped for a surprise 9th member. Anyway, i think, as long as they have great songs + promoted well, the will have a great career.
Gehlee good singer, she have visual and charisma. Kotoko have character, she is sweet and unique voice. They probably not an ace like elisia or yunha, but they deserve in this line up.
Yes because both Gehlee and Kotoko are natural fans attractor. Gehlee has a lot of global fans and Kotoko is well loved by Koreans. So these 2 deserved to be part of the Top 8
when the judges had the chance to pick 2 girls to level up into debuting, they didnt necessarily have to choose nana.. considering she still wouldve debuted with her score like she's literally the 4th overall. they shouldve picked girls they knew had low scores but deserved to debut. they blew up that chance so badddd
I think I know why. If they pick someone else like i think Sumin, Sunwoo, Haram or Narumi, then kotoko will not debut since she is top 7 in votes ranking in final ep and voting scores will determine if you debut or not if you are not the producer/mentors pick like Nana and Yunha. Yunha already replaced Sieun's spot since Sieun is top 8 in voting and Yunha didnt make it to top 8 in voting. Nana is top 5 in final voting so Kotoko is safe. The producer/mentor should utilized the power given to them in the final ep to debut someone with low votes but high quality trainee like the names I mentioned above but well... its Sieun who should be sad and fighting for Yunha bec like it or not this is the only loophole i can see and though she is deserving and I love her to be in the lineup, we cannot zero out the negative comments bec she is a F&F trainee and this is their show so be strong, fighting!
Kind of understandable. A lot of people undermine her because they accuse her of being the producer pick because she’s from F&F. I remember seeing a Reddit post where before episode 8 they called it Yunha and friends by how much favoritism was there.
No doubt about this new girl group UNIS, I love them so much! Congratulations again starring with Elisia, Gehlee, Seowon, Nana, Bang Yunha, Kotoko, Oh Yoona and Jin Hyeonju! Let's go fighting! ❤️💖😍🤗🙏🎉 Debut MV🔜! For all of this Clowns I mean this insignificant Haters will always gonna hate, but no matter what happens just ignore them, those fools toxic people stand down!
Thanks for making this video, I'm a fan of Universe Ticket and I will be supporting UNIS! Hope they will have a successful debut too, Elisia and Gehlee are super talented and I'm so proud of them! 👏 👏👏
For me, I really don't get why people are hating on elisia and gehlee because of their fan votes, even without the much of votes, they already have the idol qualities ://///
i hated it cuz if they voted someone else up we could have someone else instead of kotoko like she needs less than 2% to prism she doesnt need 2 MiLLION votes bruh
Did you know, without promotion, yunha wont debut, instead it was sieun. So, if sieun's votes reach more than kotoko, judge cant do anything because they alr pick yunha and nana.@@Boyslovesnapshot
@@mariasarrah2403 let them be. What's the problem with that? The girl has good stage presence and vocals. Let people praise the idol they want. Gehlee has no training but still managed to pull off a decent performance. That's worth praising for.
Ghelee started as a relatively "stiff" dancer, but she improved really quick, and her dancing is becoming more fluid in every performance. And yes, that natural charm that she has is like no other in this group of lovely young ladies. The moment you lay your eyes on her, it's no taking off until the whole performance is done. She has that angelic or enchanting charm that gives off a very light and calming aura, plus the fact that she's well-versed when speaking makes her a darling. Also, she has this distinct vocals that makes you recognize her without needing to look. The camera could shift somewhere else and you'd still know it's Ghelee who's singing. Among the girls, it's her vocals that I like the most.
I love seowon so much because she's so talented and I'm realise that I'm old now when I know her age 😭. She so talented guys 😭 and the best center of the group ❤️. Edit: sorry if my english is bad
I would disagree that Nana is the best Japanese contender of the show. I would pick Narumi over her. Narumi's singing is much better than Nana, not to mention her dancing. I love both of them and I wished they both debuted together. But I always knew Narumi wouldn't be picked in the end. Given we already have Elisia, Gehlee, and Seowon at the top it was obvious what kind of visual the producers are going for. They're going for a NewJeans-esque Y2K 2nd generation K-pop revival. Narumi's visuals and dancing abilities as we've seen in episode 6 fits more in groups like Le Sserafim, IVE, Blackpink, or aespa which has a more punchy beat and visuals. That said, I knew Nana was going to be in that final lineup.
I did not say the best, but strongest Japanese trainee overall in terms of collective support from PDs, mentors, and fanbase. Not to mention growing skills and strong star quality. But not technically the best.
@@jianweixian5562As a longtime YG Fam fan who really love YG Artists’ stage presence since I knew of K-pop from Gen 2, I would respectfully disagree that Narumi has YG vibe. She has unique charm and talent but not screaming YG on any stages in this show for me. The Bae sisters fit YG more to me. Haram, sure, especially in her first stage and with Fire! Yeram, not as strong as her sister, just quite, but through training I think she could become pretty solid as an YG artist. Of course this is only from my personal viewpoint and from what I can see + feel from just what the show showed me through 10 episodes, no other backgrounds/pre-debut performances/fan cams. To each their own anyway. 😄 I don’t follow Hybe idols much so not sure but sure hope they will scout Narumi if she really vibes with their style as many have commented just like you! And as much as I hope YG can scout the Bae sisters, I don’t think they will debut any other girl groups in Korea soon after Babymonsters so… 😢 probably better for them to be scouted by other big companies with more active debut plans.
Not angry or disappointed cuz i know they all worked hard to debut and as we saw the votings did matter a lot in this show. They a have a long way and still have improvements and that’s a great thing 😌
the group definitely needed someone that is older, Hyeonju was that person left from all the girls... Hyeonju not only organized many of the groups she was in she shared and taught the other girls. She could've been practicing on her own stuff to make her shine, but she is a leader, and a leader's got to lead.
Personally, I think they should try some vocal variations for Kotoko, she has a distinct and unique voice, she stands out easily. I'm not saying that the others don't have it, but participants like her and Gehlee have very unique timbres that should be explored. I'd love for them to put it in other concepts as well, something more powerful. I'm sure she could execute darker concepts. Only then would these haters stop criticizing her for being cute. I believe that his unique charisma is something positive for the final group, she really has a unique energy that captivates. Of course, she needs to improve some aspects, such as her dancing and deepen her performance on stage. But I really believe in your potential, I see your hard work during the program. And I believe that if she continues, she will definitely become a great IDOL, so I'm betting on her. Seeing a girl working so hard, even though she's not the best at everything, moves me, I'm really touched to support this child.
1. i think everyone knew that seowon is bound to debut in kpop the moment she went viral for her ive covers both internationally and domestically, but no one expected that time to be this year because she's barely a middle schooler. 2. i'm not really fond of kotoko and i do agree to some extent that she passed because she's pretty and fits the east asian beauty standards, but looking at it now i think they might have added her for variety reasons. her personality is likeable and again everyone goes gwiyeowo to her. 3. i'd prefer to have hyeonju back in cignature especially that the group is filled with middle schoolers, their contract will be ending by the time she goes back to cignature.
My bias is Nana, but I also support gehlee and elisia as a Pilipino...Nana is just so pretty soo center material💅🏼and her determination is strong, instead of sulking for not getting her fav part, she try harder!!!
I always compare Gehlee to Manon from Katseye, they have the voice and beauty for visuals but people really didn't believe in them but either way they debuted and I'm here for what they will bring to us as katseye and unis members
Oh Yoona captured me since thr beginning of 1on1 battle, and our reaction was also the same when she didn't won on that. I like Oh Yoona, she has self-awareness, she's honest, have determination, and I think easy to get along with. So I'm glad that she debuted, I really vote for her❤️
Gehlee has that strong YG vibe. Her voice color is kinda hard to blend in with the other girls whose got a more vibrant tone so she'll sound better as a rapper while in the group. I think she'd make a good soloist though.
Hyeonju's leadership skills are also great due to her experience. I've been eyeing her since the first mission; she's supportive, strategic, and also has a good understanding of other members that she was grouped with within that short amount of time. I was confident that she'd secure a spot in the lineup too!! Im excited for them. I hope they take good care of these girls, they're still so young.
Larger companies at first don't value popularity though. This show wasted more beautiful and talented contestants because of fan voting. Narumi, Gabi, Sumin, Sujin, Soobin and Nizi have that YG, SM, JYP and HYBE quality. I'm happy that some of those deserving contestants didn't made it because they deserve more than the F&F entertainment.
@@jianweixian5562 Well there is so much more advantage in debuting as the first group in a small company than being the nth group in a bigger company!! The popularity that some of the contestants that debuted in the show is much more organic that those in bigger company groups!!!
It's a great line up for me! I'm most specially proud of Hyeonju(Belle/Lucky) her growth is incredible!!! She's also matured, she was once like those younger girls... I recommend you watch "The Unit" back then she was just 17, seeing her in Universe Ticket and how much she's improved.. I'm a proud fan since Good Day - Cignature and will keep supporting her and the girls as UNIS🫶
@@mastyk2383 yeah, being the wildcard entry in the unit, and one of the youngest, she still was able to show her leadership skills there even being younger than most of the contestants...
It started as just checking out Elisia on some tiktok vids… and after all that I saw so far… that girl is deserving indeed. So much talent, charisma and potential.
i feel sad for sumin, sunwoo, and narumi. they could've replace yoona, yeonju, and kotoko if they had more votes and unicorn picks. im not saying that the other three are not deserving. but i just find sumin, sunwoo, and narumi more talented. sumin is more all-rounder than yoona, sunwoo is also a leader type, and narumi is sooo good
We hate that Episode 8?? The producers make the recording studio into a K drama record..the reaction of the other contestant to seowon is very bad.. it's heartbreaking to our Princess Elisia,,but it's ok,,,they made it far from all of the contestants. Good luck UNIS..❤❤❤❤U
Tbh when i first saw kotoko i already knew she was going to be part of unis considering the fact she got lots of cute fun reaction for her performance just because of her visual, bubbly personality charm, But there were lots of other better member that got eliminated which really disappointing to me because they were lot better
Honestly Kim Sumin must have been part of this group cos she has the quality of being a leader without dominating anyone and keeping everyone together. She literally grew in the show and was able to pull in all genres and concepts and all parts be it vocals, raps or expressions. They knew that she would literally stand and overpower everyone including Elishia. Feeling so bad for her
This is the best analysis I have seen so far. The research is superb. I love how this content creator was able to insert videos and photos of each members from their past public engagement. Excellent video.
I’m just saying this. Older group: Hyeonju, Sunwoo, Sumin, Yona, Riel, Jinyeong and Chaewon Unis: Elisia, Yunha, Kotoko, Nana, Gehlee, Gabi, Sieun, Linh Dan and Narumi Upcoming: Seowon and whoever The age gap is just to interesting. Happy for Elisia, Gehlee and Yunha though. These three are my favorites.
Seowon is amazing but she’s just too young… I understand why she was chosen to debut but I don’t think she should’ve solely because of her age. She going to limit what the group can do, like no edgy music because of her
If you're wondering what could be their concept because theirs a minor and an adult I think the concept that could fit to this group is what IZONE concept did that could fit to them base on their age gap that concept is just balance not your typical cutesy not your typical adult concept just a balance concept
Lets also be real the Kpop Music industry is also a BUSINESS, you can't sell a product if its not appealing and eye catching to consumers, that's why this girls was perfectly pick base on consumers demand and the companies ideal concept for there product. I say each of one of the girls perfectly fits there roles on what the company wants for their GROUP. Almost all of the girls are ALL ROUNDERS,UNIS potential so high the only problem to worry about is THE PRODUCERS the company will hire to create there songs. F&F needs to priority hire the best of the best producers for this girls or else they just gonna waste a diamonds!!
Yes, they also chose girls with good chemistry, personality, and attitude. A single conflict can bring down the group’s dynamics, so that’s likely why some talented contestants, were eliminated.
Kotoko brings the "what's different?" factor in UNIS compared to other K-pop girl groups. She gives the vibes of "standing out in terms of looks and fashion." She can be a trendsetter for UNIS, brining the group's fashion sense to the fans.
She has a certain aura that just makes you genuinely happy when you see her perform - this is something that i think you cannot learn or acquire - it’s either you’re born with it or not.
true, having Kotoko "Cute bubbly Japanese" + Gehlee "Demure yet fierce queen" is somehow something new for me... Japanese maybe known as Bubbly in terms of personality but having one in a Kpop group will be something to watch for... Also Gehlee IMO as someone who was known as a beauty queen yet was able to debut not just because of her charms but she also has skills is another factor that'll make me watch this group... The final 8 are a good balance IMO
@@Huhuhaha08 you obviously don't know what you're talking about then. kotoko's performance skills are highly underdeveloped and compared to other unis members like elisia and gehlee, she becomes invisible on stage.
@@jinsouloutdidurfaves that is your opinion and i will respect that. Hope you respect mine. Kotoko’s performance sparks joy for me, i cannot say the same for Gehlee ( and her toxic Filo stans make it even harder for me to like her.) Elisa is also very good and no doubt very talented. I like her and Seowon for main vocals. Peace out.
I'm sure their positions will be: Elisia: Main Vocal Yunha: Main Dancer Nana: Lead Dancer Gehlee: Main Rapper Seowon: Lead Vocal Yoona: Lead Rapper Kotoko: Center, Visual Hyeonju: Leader, Lead Vocal, Lead Dancer
The only two I questioned is the 12 year old and Kotoko. I just feel as Kotoko wasn’t ready to debut and was only picked for being cute. I think she needed more time.
She does, one of the reason is her dancing skills. The higher and rougher the song, the hardest it to dance which makes you visible as someone who aren't good at dancing. That's how everyone see her when in first episodes.
I clicked on the video expecting to have to defend Kotoko's pick but it was a surprisingly good take. Kpop groups are not only about skills and Kotoko fills a specific niche in the group. Kotoko was my favorite person to follow in UT
That's not the problem, but the age gap between the oldest member and the second oldest member is very far... hyeonju (2001) & nana (2007). The birth of this group was 2001,2007,2007,2007,2009,2009,2009,2011..
Le sserafim members have 9 year age gap between oldest and youngest. Wannaone also has that 10 year age gap as well as 2NE1 member oldest and youngest, 10 years too. And lapillus' maknae debuted at aged 13 years old. Thats just how it is in korea. Eitherway this grp is just temporary since contract is only 2 and a half years then they will return to their original companies. Its just their training ground
The gap isn't the problem. There could be an 18 year old member and a 28 year old one, no one will bat an eye. The problem is that the youngest is literally a child- a 12 year old should live carefree and a life full of curiosity about world.
About the age gap issue it sort of like 2NE1; minzi was 15 and park bon was 25 when they debuted so that is like also a 10 year age gap the same as 2NE1 also ya’ll do know that lim seowon actually already debuted with her single shoulder dance. 💃and may i add a quote from dara is “Age differences never bothered us.”
I remember, I was in junior high school when 2NE1 debuted and my mind was blown when I learned that minzi was just the same age as I am. I was too used to seeing celebs mostly in their 20s and 30s, and not teens. It was just a little jarring at first knowing that, but it never really bothered me. I was amazed, even.
@@bukojoetheslapsoils8273 righttt im amazed because the age is not really limiting them of what they can do and be. At a young age they could be achieving their dreams. Im envious of that…
They all deserve their spot, let's just hope that they will work harmoniously and cohesively as a group with the guide and support of the company, as well😊🥰🤞🙏✌️💜💜💜
As a Filipino, this is true. Unlike korean, we don't have "training" here. The only training is for example, if we love singing, we will sing in the karaoke in our house if we have one. If we love dancing, we will dance in our house while listening to our fave song. We do have a voice lesson and as well as dancing too but you can attend that if you have money. But if you don't have, nah. Train your own. And here in PH, if you have a talent in singing or dancing, automatic your family will join you in contest. Hehe.
Pienso que aunque Hyeonju tiene como 10 años de diferencia a la menor, igual es importante su papel de lider, porque la veo como líder, de otra manera no se complementarían bn, me gusta esa alineación final
By the way, do you already have a bias?

I’ve literally read a number of comments coming from SKs expressing their dismay that a lot of foreign members debuted in universe ticket. Specifically that there will be 2 filipinos debuting. (It was on a reaction video of a SK producer here on YT)
@@yabaiii3122but they actually forget that belle is also half Filipino which she said during her cigniture days 😅.... I can't help but to agree with you.. It was my first time seeing Filipino won an actual show coz everytime I see Filipinos who join a Korean show they always end up losing despite their great talent.
Unicorns hate her so much. She didn't even win once. Like wtf.. whateva and camera clearly deserve the W..

A new group definitely needs a 'Gehlee' to bring more money in..
Yes, I know that the other members can definitely bring money into the company (that's for sure) but she will surely bring MORE MORE MORE MONEY 💵!!! (and that's important for a group's survivable) 😊😁

I just hope that the company will not force her to do excessive cringey 'IT Girl' role. She's an INFP for god's sake and her resting sad face w/ alluring smile is just fine haha.
The way Gehlee got the longest commentary in this vid gives me excitement towards her Unis journey. Thank you for the kind words and constructive criticisms about Gehlee.
Gehlee has a natural It Girl energy 👑
Hopefully, they will give Gehlee more spotlights to show her vocal skills. She's really good :)
Unfortunately, they did not.
I am excited to see the unique and charming characteristics of Gehlee and Kotoko which is why i stan them, and see how they interact with the members
Nana had star quality since her audition! She's the whole package tbh. Also, she knows how to capture the attention and set the mood as the center. Also hoping that they’re the last of the company to debut contestants this young and put a law in place to protect these minors.

i agree. everyone is saying that seowon has been famous since she was 6 and the unicorns kept saying she was born to be an idol, but that’s a bit sad. to have your whole life be tailored specifically for this industry and you’re still only 12/13. her upbringing is already abnormal. i hope when she’s in her 20s she doesn’t have regrets

I hope they'll debut a unit with Gehlee, Nana and Hyeonju with cool or girl crush concept because they will obviously have a cute group image.
Not really, the debut is not even cute
But it would be a great idea to make a unit with those three
I’m so surprised that Narumi didn’t debut. I thought she was solid the whole show. Stable vocalist, amazing dancer. Happy that Gahlee and Elisa made the debut team 💖
My thoughts too. There are more suitable members that are not picked . I am also wondering what if the unicorns did not vote yunha will she ever debut her prism circle's was the only one which wasn't t revealed in the finale wonder if someone made it than her
@@jinthough9955sunwoo was rigged out and they put her instead 😅😅
Narumi fans just sleeping. Lmao
She play the same role as Nana and same market too (Japan). I think it is smart to have different type of members for more diversity.
Narumi also have better skills than Nana, but Nana was more popular, so
Right she has a star quality that is hard to find with other trainees.
Dear seowoon is already a kpop trot child singer what do mean like that!!!.. Shes the most skills among the rest of the members.
I agree, she's the youngest but her experience is something that cannot be denied.. she actually has a lot of advantages over her teammates: a fanbase that has been with her forever, an identity with her natural voice and talent, and plenty of room for growth.. Hope Unis becomes a good channel for her improvement
Most skills? Who's second? lol@@Lunafreya_Nox

Quite a straight forward and well balanced review. I think you did them all justice. Personally I think the lineup is very solid and I don't think age gap will matter in the long run. Unis is only going up from here on

Yeri and irene had also a big age gap but they did fine
for me i think it's good that there's someone older in the group cause hyeonju has alot of experience and has a great leadership so i dont think her age will affect the entire group, some of you are just making a big deal over nothing and at the end it's the production of and good music that counts.
Agree
It'd just sad for Hyeonju that there is no one close to her age. The difference in mindset between a 22 year old and a 16 year old are big.
I like your review. You did not only highlighted their strenghts but also mentioned their weaknesses and potentials. I love how you pointed out Nana's vocals but will surely be a great all-rounder when polished. Same with Kotoko and Gehlee's dancing. So far, this is the best review ive read.
Thanks for watching!
with yunha, elisia, seowon and hyeonju who can easily be a main vocal in any other gg + the other members who can fit lead vocal roles like gehlee and yoona, i think UNIS will be leaning towards to a more vocal forward group.
Overall, im quite satisfied with this line up though i seriously hoped for a surprise 9th member.
Anyway, i think, as long as they have great songs + promoted well, the will have a great career.
Yunha and Heonju main vocalist? LOL, maybe Elisia and Seowon
I would like to know which group are you thinking of when you say that Yunha elisia Seowon and hyeonju can be be a main vocal
I agree..... ivoted hyeonju cause i can see leadership in her....she's all-rounder too
when the judges had the chance to pick 2 girls to level up into debuting, they didnt necessarily have to choose nana.. considering she still wouldve debuted with her score like she's literally the 4th overall. they shouldve picked girls they knew had low scores but deserved to debut. they blew up that chance so badddd
They basically speedrun her to debut😂
Yep. I was hoping they would save Narumi too
No it's perfect! Hyeon-ju gets to debut. Hyeon-ju will be a great leader to the group considering the group is full of minors.
besides elisia, yunha really is an all rounder! i dont see much people talking about her
Kind of understandable. A lot of people undermine her because they accuse her of being the producer pick because she’s from F&F. I remember seeing a Reddit post where before episode 8 they called it Yunha and friends by how much favoritism was there.

Yeah, Narumi has YG and HYBE talent and looks there... she should be scouted by a larger company
The Baes (Haram and Yeram) also have YG vibes - unique tones, and swag.
@@jianweixian5562As a longtime YG Fam fan who really love YG Artists’ stage presence since I knew of K-pop from Gen 2, I would respectfully disagree that Narumi has YG vibe. 😄
I don’t follow Hybe idols much so not sure but sure hope they will scout Narumi if she really vibes with their style as many have commented just like you!

Nana is so talented and pretty she is just perfect❤

Upcoming: Seowon and whoever
The age gap is just to interesting. Happy for Elisia, Gehlee and Yunha though. These three are my favorites.
I really cant understand about kotoko.. she’s so average.
It’s because (i’m sorry to say this) she’s marketable. Kotoko’s charm is amazing and a lot of Korean’s love her because she’s pure and cute. 😬
Seowon is amazing but she’s just too young… I understand why she was chosen to debut but I don’t think she should’ve solely because of her age. She going to limit what the group can do, like no edgy music because of her
They have two 14 year old members. Even if Seowon didn't debut, they can't have song with edgy lyrics.
If you're wondering what could be their concept because theirs a minor and an adult I think the concept that could fit to this group is what IZONE concept did that could fit to them base on their age gap that concept is just balance not your typical cutesy not your typical adult concept just a balance concept
Based on the concept photos I've seen I think they'll have 50% IZ*ONE
The final 8 are a good balance IMO
frr
@@Huhuhaha08 you obviously don't know what you're talking about then. kotoko's performance skills are highly underdeveloped and compared to other unis members like elisia and gehlee, she becomes invisible on stage.
@@jinsouloutdidurfaves that is your opinion and i will respect that. Hope you respect mine. Kotoko’s performance sparks joy for me, i cannot say the same for Gehlee ( and her toxic Filo stans make it even harder for me to like her.) Elisa is also very good and no doubt very talented. I like her and Seowon for main vocals. Peace out.
I'm sure their positions will be:
Elisia: Main Vocal
Yunha: Main Dancer
Nana: Lead Dancer
Gehlee: Main Rapper
Seowon: Lead Vocal
Yoona: Lead Rapper
Kotoko: Center, Visual
Hyeonju: Leader, Lead Vocal, Lead Dancer
The only two I questioned is the 12 year old and Kotoko. I just feel as Kotoko wasn’t ready to debut and was only picked for being cute. I think she needed more time.
why do i feel like gehlee suits low range songs more(?)
because she does :))
She does, one of the reason is her dancing skills. The higher and rougher the song, the hardest it to dance which makes you visible as someone who aren't good at dancing. That's how everyone see her when in first episodes.
I could see Gehlee being the Chanyeol of UNIS because both people can rap they're also exceptional singers.
It's a very good insights and well detailed information especially new audiences to kpop industry
appreciate it, thank you
your chapter names made me smile gjksdfghd
honestly i love the lineup and i'm looking forward to seeing their progress
Who else has this list for their top 8?😔
Elisia
Yunha
Sumin
Gehlee
Seowon
Hyeonju
Nana/Narumi/Sieun/Haram
I love Gehlee's tone. So refreshing
Kotoko and Gehlee has star rizz that cant be denied, hence that contributes and secure their debut.
I clicked on the video expecting to have to defend Kotoko's pick but it was a surprisingly good take. Kpop groups are not only about skills and Kotoko fills a specific niche in the group. Kotoko was my favorite person to follow in UT
My Girls Nana, elisia, seowon and gehlee 🎉
I think they can pull it out, like we still yet to see their debut song so let's just wait 😊
Each unit I would like to see more
Vocal: Elisia, Seowon, Yunha
Rapper: Yoona, Gehlee, Elisia
Dancer: Yunha, Belle, Nana
Visual: Kotoko, Nana, Gehlee
why everybody keeps acting like 10years age gap is so shocking? group from produce series always have a huge gap too
That's not the problem, but the age gap between the oldest member and the second oldest member is very far... hyeonju (2001) & nana (2007). The birth of this group was 2001,2007,2007,2007,2009,2009,2009,2011..
The gap isn’t the problem. It’s that she’s 12. If it was 26vs16 it wouldn’t be that bad.
The problem is she is the only one who is literally an adult there. There rest are minors especially the maknae
I liked Narumi and Haram more than Nana and Kotoko tbh so I was quite sad... but yeah that's the reality of competitions😢
We can't deny that Gehlee has this exceptional growth after their debut. She exudes her weakness day by day!
On the other hand, Yoona have this balance and body proportions that she can control!
Im envious of that…
I really hope Gehlee will be a vocalist in the group, her voice is so warm and unique
They all deserve their spot, let's just hope that they will work harmoniously and cohesively as a group with the guide and support of the company, as well😊🥰🤞🙏✌️💜💜💜
i really like Gehlee’s rap. it’s good that you talked about it. i just noticed she can actually pull off a good rap
Gehlee is my bias 😂
Same I like her with rapper position
As a Filipino, this is true. Unlike korean, we don't have "training" here. The only training is for example, if we love singing, we will sing in the karaoke in our house if we have one. If we love dancing, we will dance in our house while listening to our fave song. We do have a voice lesson and as well as dancing too but you can attend that if you have money. But if you don't have, nah. Train your own.
And here in PH, if you have a talent in singing or dancing, automatic your family will join you in contest. Hehe.
I can see uplaoder is a GEhlee stan.
They're all talened and well rounded go#UNIS🥰😍
Pienso que aunque Hyeonju tiene como 10 años de diferencia a la menor, igual es importante su papel de lider, porque la veo como líder, de otra manera no se complementarían bn, me gusta esa alineación final
The video objectively analyzes the skills of each member, and is very likable.
