- It's finally over, I'm finally free... this journey was NOT worth it at allll... I think SBS should be banned from ever doing another survival show. Like this was just badly made, badly planned, badly executed... Songs were fine but Jesus do they not know what they're doing.
Also I started school on Thursday so that slowed me down a lot actually. Will probably continue to slow me down but hey I'm gonna get free access to so much editing software !

I 100% agree with the group name. I was pretty disappointed and my reaction was just, "aaaaaah". And I agree with your 'balanced' line up. It actually make more sense.

i actually stopped voting for hyeonju because I KNEW the final lineup would literally have 2 adults max... and here we are with my girl becoming a mother like why is no one talking about the fact she is a DECADE older than seowon and the closest member in age to her is 6 years younger !? i really hope this dosent take a toll on her or anything because I KNOW they are making her the leader and she will literally have no one to lean on in that group because of the age gap. I really wish her the best T_T
If I could only change one group member it would be hyeonju. Not because shes not talented but because i know that group will stress her tf out... personally I would change her with haram because damn they have no main dancer hasdhdha maybe elisia or hyeonju will since theyre all rounders? leaning more towards hyeonju because they love pushing the elisia main vocal thing
in all honesty i lost hope in this group very early on i was only pretending to gaf because i was like... maybe with votes atleast 3 adults can debut but no they gave hyeonju a baby sitting job sorry girl. for the concept of the group theres like 99% chance they will go for a cute concept but i kinda hope they make music similar to gfriend in a way? idk i just wanna bring christian horse girl music back and like with a group with a 12 year old there really isnt much concept options

the issue isn't the large age gap but the age itself. youngest being 13 when debuted. you can see other groups with large age gap and has no problem with it. for example kepler, le sserafim, wanna one, izone, red velvet and more.

This group would be way better if the judges give 1 unicorn debut ticket from each groups from the Unit Station; vocal, visual and performance, and the rest of the 5 can be decided by votes. It would atleast balance the final lineup. imagine there's no one from the performance group debuted hence making this group more like a choir than a kpop group.

@@emmegm9494 yes, it's so sad there's no impactful performer in this group in terms of dancing. I think this is the same scenario with Twice back then that's why JYP added Momo in the group. And yes, I'm still hoping that they still add Narumi or Haram as the 9th member.

The ending was so weird, i hated how they literally segregated the girls at the end with 7/8 winners on one side and 1/8 on the other. I thought they would have placed them more strategically for drama but they probably didnt have enough time to spend doing that because it was half of the show’s bedtime, rightfully so, how were those girls even performing that late into the night (energy wise)?? But they could have had places to stand with their names so that they’d be in an exciting announcement order and it wouldn’t be awkward to the live audience. And the set wasn’t interesting either. Nothing about it said ‘ROAD’ to ‘PRISM’ they just walked on a white floor and stood in a circle podium, then a big diamond. Lol.. I also hated that the 2/16 people whose votes were revealed and they did not make it (sunwoo and sumin) didn’t get to say anything. They just quietly shuffled back to their place. But every other eliminated contestant got to speak except for when they mass eliminated 1/2 of the girls early on. I felt bad for sumin because she was standing completely alone after finding out she didnt make it. Definitely one of the weirdest winner reveals ever
That ending part where they split off into 7 and 1 really just hammered in to me that this show didn't have any interest in showcasing the actual friendships made on the show... which is honestly like half the fun of watching a survival show. You get entertaining performances and you get to see these girls (or guys) who started as complete strangers become friends for life. I feel like none of these showrunners learned anything from Queendom 1. We want friendship and positivity!! Who wants to follow an idol group whose first 2-3 months were framed as rivals and enemies and they all have beef? That just creates toxic solo stans.

Hello fellow Jellys! (Gehlee), I am hoping that they would all give them a fair distribution of lines. It is okay if someone has a bit more if that person really fits the song but please, no one liner for any of them. It's a shame if they would focus on only one or two person. That's not fair for the others. But I'm hoping that Gehlee would get a fair amount of lines considering that she can really sing (most of all, her voice is unique), she can also rap, like even though she only has few lines in the finals, she has the most views on individual videos. Anyways, just hoping for a fair line distribution! ❤️
Hyeonju is one of my faves but I'm not happy she is debuting with a bunch of kids. Like I'm afraid that concepts are gonna be boring for her and that she won't have much to do besides babysitting the whole group. plus they separated her from sunwoo, they were holding hands during the finale and it broke my heart bc sunwoo was also my fave :(

sbs seriously does not need to make a season 2 for boys, or any more survival shows actually! leave survival shows to mbc and mnet, i'll give credit where it is due and mbc's my teenage girl was one of the better survival shows, it just sucks that the girls ended up under mbk and their last comeback was in 2022 (same year as debut lmao), and mnet's survival shows are more popular + boys planet was actually entertaining so more people watched it.
Fuck MNET, bruh used gp999 to experiment to make bp999 better... As a result, kep1er felt like that, just an experiment... The 50% Korean vote 50% international votes was garbage enough, then they turned the voting to one pick, causing one of the biggest fumbles in survival show history Yurina didn't make the lineup because she is not really a one pick for most people but she is always someone that people vote for as their #2 or #3. Add the super obvious favoritism towards koreans, chinese trainees evil edited very fucking blatantly and japanese trainees not named hikaru, mashiro and yurina barely got any screentime. Also, produce seasons 2-4 were all rigged, so all the votes people did in those three survival shows basicly did not matter, mnet needs to compensate everyone that voted on those shows. They also fucked up in idol school, a lot of trainees already went out and said the living conditions during that show was garbage as hell... They might be good at promoting their final lineup, but the actual survival shows they did are all fucking garbage... Only produce 101 season 1 is legit ffs...
Some people just always have something to say hahahah, ofc its business, if they will make another season, then just don't watch it if you're really that disappointed, no need to say anything hahahahahahah

Was this was pay to vote? If yes it's a good business for them doing this survival stuff all the time as many people are addicted to kpop and the participants comes from all around the world not only the fans are voting but the whole nation can also participate.
Yup, if you're gonna pre pick a few members into the final lone before the show already starts and none of the 82 started to perform, you shouldn't do a survival show! And for you to put the popular contastents together (As I told you team) and eliminate them all because they're competition for your pre picked line up is just so rigged... And unfair for the fans.
Gehlees voice is a beautiful baritone, I saw hr covering Olivia Rodrigos song in TikTok and she sounded so indie folk and country, but she probably be assigned as rapper

I think survival show like this have already have a concept ready for the debut members before they start. Then they just have to choose the members that would fit the concept. If you notice none of the performance group have made it to the final line up, that would mean their concept is not going to be a performance based one
Yeah for sure and honestly, I think this is a good start for their group. Most music produced right now by Kpop are loud, noisy, and chaotic concepts that just grates the ears if not produced exceptionally. Like I think among the music produced right now by the current popular Kpop group, 8/10 their songs sound messy, or straight up boring. Goddamn Babymonster got to debut 6 talented girls and the song they picked for them was a forgettable, messy, and tired rehash of the stale and old Blackpink formula.

I'm a classically trained vocalist, and Elisia was the only contestant on the Camera team who has a strong head voice. Sumin sounds good, but she doesn't get enough air in her upper register and relies on a more nasal tone to support. Just thought I'd put that out there (Sumin is great, though!)
I agree, you can also tell that it's Elisia who does the head voice because it is stronger and clearer at the same time. Yunha is good too, i think the tone is a bit crispier than Elisia. I was surprised about sunwoo tho but she is more of a belter, and for Sumin, exactly how you say it, not bad tho.

As a Gehlee Stan, I have no objections of her being a future main/lead rapper💖💖(Well as long as it's suits her with some of their future songs)
1.) Being the only F&F trainee Yunha was pushed hard and still didn't get the votes
2.) Gehlee (deep voice + dark skin = rapper in Korea)
3.) I don't know where Yoona's votes came from....Is she really that popular? (I have a bad feeling her controversies will not end well for her)
4.) Seowon was really the only Korean with a fanbase so she was pushed to debut no matter her age.
5.) At least Yunha and Elisia will be turning 15 soon and Seowon will be turning to 13 at the end of the month but still I don't know who their fanbase will be with those ages?

Anyways about Yoona, I followed some of their socials, but I never saw any pictures of her within the circle of friends. Hmmm, maybe the bully allegation is true? Not entirely sure about this. Btw, I'm talking about ASEAN trainees circle of friends. Which also includes Japanese and Chinese friends. They seem close. I never see any sign of Yoona in the circle.
@@emmegm9494 she actually was quite popular! i wasn't expecting it that much as well (and you can tell she wasn't expecting it either lol, if you watch the episode you'll see she wasn't hoping for much), but i think it's bc she's a consistent performer and despite some rumours flying around, her attitude does seem to be pretty good and she's talented and experienced, so i think that's why she was able to get a spot in UNIS

Yeah it's also sold in our closest thing to a "department" store, definitely does not have connotations of an expensive, quality brand but they definitely have money. They own MLB and Discovery (as clothing brands) in Korea. I also read an article from the show producers that said F&F had invested a lot of money into the post-show promotions so we'll have to see how that pans out

i need haram and her sister to pull a chaeyeon and chaeryeon and debut in very popular groups, because they’re just so good, i would hate to see their talents wasted and i agree with everything you said and your balanced line up probably would have been the best line up overall if it actually happened and your preferred line up would definitely come after because it’s just so good.

The amount of vile xenophobia Hyeonju got on the subreddit, people need to keep in mind thst that she was rank 6 in points and 2nd in votes, just because she was announced 8th doesnt mean your fave didnt get in because of her.
1. Like Aya Natsumi , the show themselves never directly stated Hyeonju or natsumi had Filo heritage, the show treated both like a Korean or Japanese contestant.
I hope Hyeonju takes her 2.5 years here and gets that bag!
Speaking of Aya, they 100% booted her to prevent the lineup being majority Filo. There is no way in hell that Sua and Minari outperformed her. Which no shade to them, actually I think Minari did pretty good, but it's hard to fairly evaluate her since she had most of the song. And Sua.............
For Aya, they kinda did. They showed Aya going out with Elisia and Gehlee when they revealed Philippines contestants. But it was in UT ig. I guess it was edited out of the show.

I actually think that she could be a main rapper. Her tone is just different and unique that even if she has few lines on the finals, it's one of the lines that I keep on repeating.

All of the selected 8 UNIS have these qualities in them. BUT, Gehlee is the one you would notice first in the group on the stage because of her outstanding facial attributes.
My choice in debut line up would be Elisia Nana Sumin Gehlee Yuhna Haram Narumi Gabi or Sunwoo or Hyeonju
whoever made the rumor of “all the ranks will reset to 0%” ruined sooo many opportunities for people to vote for others 😭😭 also when watching the final i found i wasnt has hyped as i should have been, i was like “oh okay 😀” ofc i felt bad for my eliminated girls, but i did not find the excitement or spark watching it ykwim ?? like you said, very anti climactic

Also, I thought since Yunha is the one already signed on to F&F even before this show, that the producers are building the group around her.
As much as I loved Haram and Sunwoo, I couldn't shake off the feeling that they'd be too limited by this group--they're too talented to be caged by the limits in concept this group could do, given that the age skews younger.
And yes, who is the main dancer? Is it Nana? I am so confused about the positioning in this group.

I wish the judges/producers promoted this show on their SNS with a simple mention T.T I think it would have significantly boosted the ratings, or at the very least lend some exposure to this show in SK. I recognise that it isnt their role though :3
For them to promote through sns, it needs to be included in the contract = more pay. I dont think the show has big budget, theres this one episode where 3 groups are split to "relax" for a day. 1 of them eat bread, the othe eat ramen, and i dont think the third group eat anything

Not really, there was like a graphic that went from Universe Is Start to UNI I S>UNIS and JSK explained that since their story started from the Universe this name represents the wish to write the story together, which honestly makes it sound even more like a fandom name
SBS really disappointed me with this show 😭
I expected it to be way better the way they were saying in the beginning "we will not be biased and be fair",yet they kept pushing the same girls in every single round 😔😔

What an underwhelming finale, god... They didn't even sing live (or the backing tracks were waaay loud), the line up announcement was the definition of anticlimactic, and... ugh, idk it wasn't a surprise lineup, the winner of the show was announced last week and the first 7 girls called, they all got in. It was all so unserious, like rushing. I understand the idea of the guest judges to have an uneven panel for votes, but the songs were meh, so it wasn't even interesting. The name is also meh, but at least it's not something hideous, like I'LL IT. What bothers me the most is that the concept of the show had potential, it could have been great, but why be great when you can be mediocre at best, right? I just hope these girls get treated well, they are so young! Even Seowon said HER TEETH WERE STILL GROWING, like.. whatever.

We have the same feeling actually about the final episode. It wasn't really exciting. I'm kinda disappointed on that. Previous episode performances were better. And yeah, the blatant push of Yunha is really disheartening. If Yunha is really the pick of the unicorns then that is okay but if it was pushed by the producers then it is kind of fucked up. Honestly I don't really understand the hype with Nana and Yunha. I have also seen the videos where they only perform without reactions. And they weren't really super captivating in regards to what the unicorns are always saying.
Anyways my personal pick are:
Elisia, Gehlee, Seowon, Narumi, Sumin, Nizi
I just hope that they would really create a new bop debut song for them and just include the other songs that was created on the show.

5 of my favs made it so I am happy. I loved their charismas
Seeing as the last survival show I watched was "Dream Maker" (a collab between MLD and PH company ABS-CBN) where Elisia's cousin Marcus debuted, the glaring difference of a finale in DM and UT was so so soooooo jarring. UT had no celebratory moments, no jumping for joy, could have done better in welcoming UNIS too. And can I just say how this show robbed Gehlee of two things too? First, she was 0.2% away from P last week that the announcement of her promotion was expected by everyone even her for sure. SBS robbed her of a great moment lmao. Second, SBS (you sneaky sneak you) announcing the Unicorn Ticketing promotion to say Yunha was second and Nana third (I think Nana was a cover to not make it obvious) also pushed Gehlee to be labelled as fourth placer/member when the SECOND place clearly and rightfully belongs to her. As you said in this vid, SBS didn't expect two Filipino girls to be a highlight of this show and imagine if it had been Eli and Gehlee for first and second... wouldn't really sit well for the show for sure. Sighs.
Does it really matter if you are first, second, last. It is not like they are winning big money as first place do they? And why would it only be Gehlee? Why not everyone with this huge mess being robbed of how bad the ending was? They have unnecessary rival dramas, evil editing, biased screen time, but could not even direct a good finale? And come on, UNIS? Sounds more like a contraceptive brand WTH. No celebratory at all, you're right. After watching the disgraceful finale can not help to be fearful for the future ahead of these Idols, but I'm really hoping they will really make it up there with the legends and current top.
Hyeonju, Gehlee and Nana are my only picks that made it :(

I didn't realized it was UNIS because I misheard it as UNIT the first time, and I thought it made sense (UNI-verse + T-icket = UNIT). Then, after a few hours, I went back and it was actually UNIS. Perhaps, I need to have my ears cleaned.
a group with Haram and Sumin could take over the world
The final line-up seems so predictable to everyone that the contestants didn't even cry when they were called as the debuting members, lol. Maybe the more 'unpredictable' ones were Yoona and Hyeonju, since Sunwoo, Gabi, and Narumi were quite popular too.
Also, if I'm really honest, I think Elisia does deserve the first place, as she is so talented and a total all-rounder, but at the same time, she's still so young. I'm concerned about the members being literally children because, seeing how some current group's maknaes receive a lot of hate, I don't want to imagine the hate this group could receive due to their ages.
I liked the final lineup but I had a few problems:
-i wanted sumin instead of seowon, we all know how TALENTED sumin is and seowon will have plenty of opportunities to debut when she is OLDER. at least 16.
-the group name, no one can deny that it sounds more like a FANDOM name. its boring and forgettable, honestly.
P.S.: there are many netizens who think that kotoko should not debut. very well, have ur own opinions but in MY opinion she SHOULD debut. her cuteness can definitely attract a lot of fans along with gehlee's visual. as mentioned in before videos, kotoko adds a punch to these songs that can be really addicting. she also keeps improving
I just know they debuted Elisia early so SBS will have less of a person to possibly pick for unicorn ticketing and they can "sneak" someone in the group ASDJASDJKHAKSD 💀
Nana is at best average. The show is not ashamed in giving Kotoko and Nana more favor. Good for them though.
Nizi was the best rapper, amazing dancer and had amazing stage presence. If they wanted a Japanese person so bad, they should've given her more screentime.

Hyeonju is taking chances since Cignature isnt a best selling group nor well known. People might not even knows the group without people mentioning it through out the show. Also Its the shows problem for taking literal kids to compete. But I agree people chose her to act as their leader more than her singing or dancing skills

I loved your reactions and reviews of this show and I kept nodding and agreeing to so many of this honestly speaking I might just watch your reviews instead of like 1hr and a half to 2 hour show that sometimes has way too much filler. Also that man in produce saying "Its showtime" cannot be as bad as Taeyeon saying "Queen's Assemble" in Queendom, you could feel she was struggling with that line rofl 😂 Also apparently Yona left GoldDust and now all I feel is pain. I agree so much with your own ideal lineup, but I think Yuri should be lead dancer also. Her dance skills are so underrated.

It's not a name of the group you want to change or and idol you want to change gap bcuz they are to young to be and idol, it's about support fans if they can really buy their album. This is not about talent or name of the group you want to be popular in korea, it's about marketing image if they can success their group.

I want to say, that both Bang Yunha and Lim Seowon are way too overrated by the show 😂. If Yunha didn't get the center part in any battle, her presence would be unnoticeable, she clearly is not that popular judging from the votes. She is a good all-rounder, but honestly, she doesn't have anything that makes her stand out, generic. Lim Seowon, good vocal? Sure, maybe, but again, nothing special. Also another note, does anyone notice that she easily gets a mental breakdown every time she gets criticized or rejected? Also, probably an unpopular opinion, I like Nana a lot, but I think Narumi is a much better all-rounder for the debut team, even though Nana has a stronger star quality. You know what, I think I want both to debut, ideally 😂

@@mathhenri-xy5fh We're the same! Nothing against Nana and Kotoko but if the producers wanted someone from Japan they should have pushed with Nizi and Narumi. They're much better. They have their own type of charisma. It's just that they don't have enough screen time like Nana or Kotoko
@@mathhenri-xy5fhsure, those 2 are too good for this show though 😂. Especially nizi, even if you don't see her age, her skill (both dance and vocal) is still above average compared to other contestants. The only thing that she lacks is stage presence if there are way too many members in her group.
