- Yes, I did indeed finish editing and uploading this during my layover in Frankfurt, thanks for noticing. I'm only going to miss 2 weeks of uploads, though, but I'll probably find some time to watch the episodes before returning home so I'll have two scripts ready to go, just needing to be recorded and edited. That's doable, right? There's, what, 4 more weeks left of the show? I can catch back up. We're in this together, guys!
I'm sorry, but condensing a 12-member song down to 4 and STILL have one of these 4 having like no real part is just....bonkers
First of all, I'm always sooo glad when I see someone who also values Gyuri, she's so so talented, but never gets the chance to show off how good she ist. And when you mentioned that it was so stupid to make La Vie En Rose into 3 main parts and one side part, i totally agree! Not only did Gyuri not deserve to get such a small part, but in my opinion she was so much better than most of the others in her team. I'm so glad that (if I remember correctly) the judges also ranked her second in the team bc thats what she truely deserves! But I feel like they only used La Vie En Rose Team to give Jeemin a story arc and the other 3 were only meant to be her side characters which makes me sad. I'm so excited for today's episode.
@@mariasol1545 I understand what you mean, but she is actually one of the most stable vocalists on the show. I'm not sure if you've watched episode 9 yet so I won't spoil anything, but let's just say she finally really gets to shine and I really hope that everyone will finally understand why we like her so much
@@mariasol1545 I feel like since she didn't get as much screen time as the other 11 contestants people dismiss/undervalue her skills. She is one of the most stable vocalists and has a lot of stage presence which was showcased in episode 9!
@@mariasol1545what caught me about Gyuri is that she’s one of the contestants that is always consistent with her voice and energy on stage. She’s also surprised me when it came to her dance ability.
I think its a mix of that she’s quite good and people don’t think she’s gotten enough time to show it.
here's my opinion for jungeun (no hate to anyone!!):
i feel that m-net took the chance to "evil edit" her during those 12 hours before they had to perform in front of the other i-landers ^^ saebi was not confident as the leader and had asked jungeun for help so that's why jungeun was giving her opinions quite enthusiastically :) i doubt she interrupted saebi as badly as the show portrayed it, i think it's more likely that they just included the parts where jungeun looked like she was interrupting saebi and compiled them together because, if it were really that bad, i doubt the producers would laugh and talk about it so lightheartedly + later on in the episode, we can see saebi leading the group with little to no "interruptions" from jungeun
this is just my opinion btw! no hate whatsoever
i honestly feel jungeun's heart was in the right place. producers obviously wanted to test saebi on her leadership skills but at the end of the day this is now an individual competition 😭 it could be risking a lot to put someone inexperienced as a leader and to be honest saebi definitely wouldve felt worse if she lead the team to a bad performance. i see no problem with jungeun or anyone for that matter trying to step in. i dont see it as her taking over because at the end of the day they all want the same thing: to give a good performance. ik it was her main character time to shine but like i said they all need to perform well. also i feel like group dynamics matter but im trying to see some vocalists debut man 😭 so i maybe a bit more lenient than others... that and everyone on this show has like 0 life experience (due to their age)
Totally agree! I love jungeun and honestly I know deep down that’s her natural personality to lead. If saebi had been upset about it then it would be a different scenario but from what I can remember nothing was said about saebi being mad. People saying she’s rude is honestly so funny to me😭 she’s not bitching out saebi for being a bad leader, she’s either correcting saebi or giving her advice. And to be real before the practicing for lovesick girls started I already knew saebi was gonna struggle, you can just tell she’s not typically a leader type of girl, no hate I love her so much. But I wish they’d stop hating on jungeun so much bc she hasn’t done anything bad!
youre falling for a LOT of mnets evil editing. the "jungeun forcing herself to be leader over saebi" was like half true i guess. she was sort of overbearing but saebi told them that she felt kind of weak as a leader and would appreciate help, so junguen just gave her help. also i am sure that jiyoon does want to forgive jungeun.
also sujung believes its a individual competition and theres nothing wrong with that. although morally wrong, making sure others stay bad gets you farther. doesnt that just show shes determined?
@@ksoobyn Sujung seems more insecure than anything. If the only way you can look good is if others look bad, then do you really look good or do you just look better than someone who looks worse? Tbh I can't blame her for being insecure, the judges be whacking on her every episode, but that just felt gossipy and mean spirited both of thing you don't really want in a kpop group.

fr i feel this.. like i respect her opinion but a survival show is NAWT a place to accurately judge character. if we were to go by every evil edit ever.. jiyoon is a sore loser, jungeun is a bossy perfectionist, sujung is narcissist, fuyaning hates yujin, cai bing is a tyrant, su rui qi is a greedy person, chanelle is hot tempered, etc(sorry for the gp999 and runext callbacks) but you get my point. they may be wrong in that situation but we gotta remember this is NAWT a normal situation for any human being to be in let alone teens 😭 give them grace pls.. ik i'd be horrible on this show (as in breaking down every two seconds)

At the end of the day its a group debuting, you have to be mindful how the actions affects the team as a whole.
I’m a bit disappointed in how much the audience is falling for the Sujung, Jungeun, Yuju evil edits. May I remind everyone that we don’t actually know the entire situation? We don’t know if Sujung tried to help Mai also. We don’t know if she was responding to a completely different question when the camera changes clips. But we need Jungeun and Sujung’s talent in the final lineup so don’t give up on them. We didn’t fall for Jiyoon, so why them?
Unfortunately its because its against popular members. Mai is very well liked domestically and internationally from what I see, and the poor girl has already had enough comments about her voice from people online.

Both the Jiyoon bit at the start of the show and the Yuju vs Koko bit really have me wondering about the internal friend group politics of the show. Jungeun went so hard for Yuju it really feels like she just wanted her friend to get the main part. I'm definitely getting the vibes that there's in-girls and out-girls in terms of dynamics.

Also as someone who has seen ru next, I am really sad to see Jeemin like this because trust me when i tell u she has lost a lot of confidence in this show and thats why she is playing it "safe" here. I’m team jungeun was by far the best member of lovesick girls and for her to get the second to last spot in voting is just crazy…
I feel like Sujung's comments were understandable, although she shouldn't say that about a teammate but Sujung and Mai were never really that close and she didn't have to help someone that's her competitor.

I think it’s important to keep in mind that we also don’t know the timeline of the SaeBi/JungEun situation - they had 12 working hours to learn the song and SaeBi could have spent the first two of those hours, cut by the editors, struggling before JungEun stepped in only to have her suggestions over the course of an hour spliced together to make it look like back to back interjections. They’re zooming in on her blinking because of what looks like her contacts and trying to make it look like she’s being mean.
Just saw the final lineup… im heart broken💔i won’t spoil but you guys have to see it for yourself it just hurts so much😢
“ debut quick scheme” is crazy when she’s been booing this for years and it’s her third survival show
I hope the conflict w/ sujung gets resolved because her talents will surely go to waste if not. I've also invested lots of votes and support to her and I'm second-guessing my decisions. Still I hope she does better and is careful with her actions. I still want to see her debut as a main dancer 💗💗

She has favoritism guys.. I just skipped most of her reviews. Jungeun is not her fav..and the fact she said she probably drop Jungeun on her top list starts at 14:24. I was like WTF.. GOOD THING SHE'S NOT A JUDGE, THE LINE WOULD BE MISSED UP..
I understand Jiyoon's feeling but her action towards Jungeun just not for me..The way this OP said that dynamic matters a lot after saying you might drop Jungeun makes me want to puke... The fact the no one votes for Jiyoon in ep 2, shows she was the problem not Jungeun.. Even Koko said she find Jiyoon scary and intimidating.. even fuko asked Jiyoon if she has plan to reconcile or talked to Jungeun and she replied it's not necessary..just a spoiler even to the last ep Jiyoon was still a ******** ******. I feel so sick when someone defend Jiyoon's attitude.. 🥴 She wants people to adjust for her..and if she don't get what she wants she's sulking and guilty trip. Wait till last ep when they practice drip.
I am just hoping this Jiyoon's attitude was just scripted mnet made to create her story and give her more exposures. She was from blacklabel and she surely know she'll debut that why she has some cocky personality.
And people saying she has unique voice, she sounds like rosê (THE ORIGINAL). We already have rosê so how can you call someone unique when they have the same voice? one more thing when she sing and dance at the same time her vocals weak not very rosê..

@@yyyeen___8041 you said it well it is very hypocritical of this creator to speak on the situation she is very biased indeed and even jiyoon herself acknowledged she was in the wrong when she apologized she is more self aware at this point and tbh their friendship seems very sweet since the reconciliation. It's just disappointing this creator ignored all of jungeun's talent just like that especially lovesick girls where she was literally the best on stage and just ate it up like how biased is that!!!
I'm not really upset with Jungeun for the whole leader situation. I understan Saebi wanting to try her hand out as a leader, but we also don't know if she's relieved that Jungeun is taking over a bit to take some stress off her shoulders. And Jungeun is only trying to act as a leader so that they could have the best performance.

06:13 if only Sujung knew that. It once again highlights how Jiyoon should debut because her determination to make sure they all do well and training Mai when a vocal coach should be on site. Sujung got a nasty edit in this episode and I'm gonna put it towards her being in street fighter and having that fight or flight instinct to survive. Obviously if the group doesn't look good, your individual performance would be weighed down
Someone on twt used that clip and Jiyoon being asked about Jungeun in the same tweet to talk about "back biting" which is so weird. Jiyoon never said anything mean and just expressed her discomfort.
they’re not giving gyuri the time and praising she deserves! if she debuts with fuko, jiyoon, jeemin, jungeun and sarang they’d be unstoppable. that being said, im still also routing for mai, koko, yuju, sujung, saebi and juwon. idk it’s getting way too hard for me to pick a top 6, i really hope they make it a 7 member group
I really really love the original Lovesick Girls - love how it cycles through the flurry of emotions when you experience heartbreak and how you crave love regardless (because it's human nature) in a way unique to BlackPink. It's a rather resentful song, and everything that makes it up aids to convey that message... so imagine my horror.
(girls did so well with it though - loved Jungeun's part... did not love yuju's mic)
Jiyoon focused on her team staying up to look at the other members parts of which she didn't have too... Her helping Mai made me happy.She took one of the spots in my top 7.
Saebi Rap switch to koko was amazing.... Yuju disappointed me.....she always fades away when she has huge parts... But small parts she rocks... I agree with the producers when they said she just needs to focus and develop on one thing ... My original top 7

i definitely think that yuju should’ve switched parts with koko. saebi offered to give her part to koko which ultimately means part 4 will get a rap. because yuju wanted it for the rap, it would’ve been fair to switch because koko is obviously more outgoing with her movements and has shown improvements time and time again while yuju although didn’t have much opportunity to showcase the dancer position, still had a small freestyle part that she looks lowkey awkward in. but koko slayed so hard with her part that i’m looking at it like a blessing in disguise.
side note: i think jungeun is just a natural born leader and couldn’t help but be a little frustrated because there was a timer that no one knew would end up being so she was probably trying to pick up the pace in case it was an important interim check. i do think she should’ve handled it better but i think she will have a redemption arc soon because saebi and her are very close friends anyway.
(top 6: saebi, jeemin, jungeun, jiyoon, fuko, koko but i don’t mind gyuri or mai debuting)

Yeah popularity is marketing. In the same vein I unfortunally think that yuju was used just to get her fans to watch, this episode looks like "not debut flag" for her , choi and sujung. And a tiny bit for fuko too.
i personally don't like jeemins vocals in general...and she could make up for that with stage presence..but that also is mediocre in my opinion

I dont get Jiyoon. To me she comes off very passive aggressive, which is fine idols arent perfect well behaved robots, but taking Jungeun out of contention because Jiyoon has held on to this grudge and hasn't taking the ample amount of time to address it seems like punishing her for Jiyoon's feelings. I want both of them to debut but i think everyone can acknowledge that getting upset with someone and then making them feel very uncomfortable all the time and never explaining why is kind of a shit thing to do, especially to someone younger than you.
I love watching your videos, I obviously have my own opinions and different ones too but your videos are usually the ones that I enjoy watching the most because while you may obviously be biased you have common sense which some RUclipsrs just completely forget when watching these shows
Sarang has always been my number one but I’m glad you mentioned that she did better in the practice because I am really scared people will stop voting for her 😭

Ok first of all, your only taking Jiyoons side and making up a story to back up Jiyoons side, look nobody knew who voted for who okay? And Fuko didn’t vote for Jiyoon either, But she’s still besties with her. When your in a group more the less in a survival show, you can’t really carry burdens which Jiyoon admited to (which is good that she took responsibility) Also this is clearly evil editing on Jungeuns side and i don’t get how nobody fell for Jiyoons evil editing, But now are eating up Jungeuns evil editing🤷♀️
How come you support Gyuri, a 15 year old, after yapping about minors debuting in the industry in nearly all of your Universe Ticket review series? Personally you made me question the topic back then and it's same reason why I'm not rooting for Gyuri despite how talented she is. I was pretty shocked to see you, of all people, root for her.
I did have a complex about it early on in this show but my cut-off has always been 16 at the youngest and Gyuri is turning 16 in October. It's not ideal but this show does not have any contestant over the age of 19 and barely any over the age of 17. She's the only one in my top3 I would be fine with not debuting. I can understand if you feel I'm being inconsistent with my own morals but the 16 minimum is consistent because that's also a cultural thing (end of compulsory education here). You can choose not to support her for her age and I will cheer you on in that because I do still think the minimum age for debut should be 18, but I've also been clear that I think the first step towards that should be a 16-year cut-off. This show also doesn't have a huge bias against contestants older than 16 and, in a weird way, it makes me feel a bit better about supporting one contestant (whose debut chances are on the lower end) at the very end of my lower limit. Also "yapping about minors debuting" is very dismissive of real concerns people have about exposing very young kids to the industry, especially when most idols who regret debuting young did so at 15 or younger.

I do believe tho, in your UT series you expressed that 16 was THE LOWEST, as in, you were not proud of adding Nana to your lineup at the last 2 episodes, merely bcs there was literally no other option, and it's true, there was fr no other options, I even remember you saying you felt kinda weird supporting 17 year olds, and your ideal limit was 18. I'm sorry if this feels like I'm calling you out on every little thing you said, but at the time you were so severe and it really felt like you were so angry with everyone for supporting underage contestants, kinda like you were telling us off and really imploring us to vote for adults, which ofc, after making a whole awareness segment about it, made sense. So yeah this does feel inconsistent, specially when Gyuri is still a minor, and was far from turning 16 most of the show (as I'm aware, part 1 was filmed really early this year). Also yes, yapping is really dismissive, but it felt a little hypocritical to be continuously serious about a topic and reproaching people for not following that same ideology, and then switching up, hence why it now feels like it was all yapping. But I do apologize, and I get where you're coming from with both shows having different circumstances and approaches to underage idols. Thanks for explaining.
sorry for responding but the difference between iland 2 and uni ticket is that all of the iland 2 trainees have little age gap between the oldest and the youngest (now that the 09 liners are gone), the oldest being 2004 and youngest 2008, not that big deal, but in uni ticket there were A LOT of older trainees, a huge age gap between the oldest and the youngest, and hella young trainees, 2011 is way worse than 2008.
2008 liners will be 16 this year so it's not like they're voting for actual children like uticket who the youngest was 11-12 at that time. ofc it's better to have an all-over 18 group but not even half of the iland contestants are over 18 yet. (unlike uniticket)
Are we seriously going to hate on *Sujung* when she said what we were all thinking???? Mai's stage presence is inconsistent, and her vocals aren't very strong. Yet somehow she flies under the judges' radar for doing basically nothing every performance???
talking behind people's back is such an awful thing to do, yes she was right that mai's voice is nasal, and it's not her job to help her, but laughing about it with other contestants who weren't even her groupmates while mai was working hard trying to improve, idk how yall are okay with this, not saying she's the worst person in world's history but me personally wouldn't support a person who acts like this towards someone who didn't do anything to her

My current predictions for the final lineup are Jiyoon, Jeemin, Koko, Fuko, Saebi, and one more "Wild Card" which is most likely Sarang, Jungeun or Gyuri. My bet is on Sarang being the 6th member, but international votes could come to Jungeun's rescue, and Gyuri being consistently in the combined top 6 could be good for her. In the case that the group does end up being 7 and a producer pick, it would probably be Jungeun, even though mnet seems to be abandoning her.

This show really seems to have a habit or putting the top potential candidates for a role in the group against each other. Trying to see who works and who doesn’t.
If you look at all the rivalries made the contestants in question the two always have some sort of shared role or trait. That’s why I think Koko, the top voted dancer, ended up on the rap stage rather than the dance stage this round.

sujung was dropped from my top 6 after this episode. even if it’s exaggerated or evil editing on mnets part, they wouldn’t have anything to evil edit if she didn’t say it in the first place. if you want to be on a team you have to be a team player and because of that i don’t think she deserves to debut in this group.
i’m also really shocked that nobody is talking about juwon. she’s my absolute top pick rn. shes funny and seems to interact well with the other members, and on top of that is talented as hell. vote juwon and sarang !!

You’re more likely to get some edit or screentime if you aren’t in the team with Jeemin.

I feel like in the live performances (just watched the live episode this week too), I hear a few moments that are way out of place...like an autotune or filter on the voice that sounds really different.
In episode 8 it was Jeemins high note and the episode from today I heard it on Jiyoon and Gyuri and it like takes me out of the moment a little bit because it sounds weird to me
No hate to the girls obviously, and I know most performances probably have some sort of auto tune so no hate to that but I feel like it's just a lot
Edit: it DOES kind of bug me though that like...if those moments ARE heavily autotune/edited, and then they praise the girl for finally hitting the note, (aka Jeemin in this episode), that doesn't sit well with me because it wouldn't technically be true
