Kinky Curly knot today and the custard is the only products I used because the leave is amazing and the custard defines and gives my hair shine for a week. And your hair has to be soaking wet so it doesn't dry your hair out. Its expensive but it lasts at least two months. Your hair is beautiful EVERY single video!
I love kinky Curly! Yes it is pricey and yes a little goes a long way! Also I know exactly what you mean when it goes into your hair and feels drying. I had that same feeling. But what's happening is the formulas both products are in a sense "becoming water" I hate that feeling but to subside that they said you just need to add more water to your hair and also add more custard and smooth that the same time. They have learning curve for some people who aren't familiar but yes friend! Your wash and go was POPPING AND VERY SHINY! Yes I love a nice sheen!!

I use kinky curly. There's definitely a learning curve. I know what you mean about the dry feeling from the custard. But once I got the application right I didn't have that feeling again. The gel is supposed to be slippery when applied right. I just make sure my hair is really clean and apply the leave in in the shower. Then the gel out of the shower. I apply the gel until I get a slippery feel. Kinky curly is my winter time product.

Yes Jaelen!!! This is my grail!! I find it works best in the summer time on my low porosity hair...I use Shea moisture low porosity detangling leave in conditioner instead of the knot today and I get great results. Also when adding custard hair has to soaking sopping wet.

This product really absorbs into the hair, I really like that opposed to heavy gel constantly sweating out
Been trying this product for ever ever. But the price held me back. I finally gave in and bought the curly custard and the knot today leave in and thanks to watching video reviews I didn’t use a whole lot of the product. A little really does go a long way. My hair is sooo shined and defined.
Since it’s been forever haha, I’m sure you know already, but for others reading, your hair has to be SOAKING wet when you apply the custard :)

I love these 2 products! But your hair has to be soaking wet when applying the custard bc it can be easy to apply too much or be drying... i dont use the kinky curly leave in anymore since ive discovered the shea moisture raw shea butter detangler (its the same consistency) at marshalls for way cheaper... i know some ppl have canceled SM but 🙄🙄

I love that one too lol, it's my new favorite! The Slip is CRAZY plus it's very cheap. Only $7-9 online plus they have a Low Porosity version that I want to try. The only thing is that the glycerin can shrink up my hair a lot more.

This is the one product I always go back to. I've been natural 2004 and my sister was one of the first people to sell this product directly from the young lady who started the company. I usually leave it crunchy for two days then blow it out on the third and on the fourth do a flat twist out with Camille rose almond Jai over it . Now if I can only stop cutting my hair. I personally never liked the knot today, I have crazy low porosity hair and it just sits on top of my hair no matter how much heat I apply. I love the custard though. I apply it in the shower with aloe Vera juice or aloe Vera gel and a little bit of the custard. The key is to make sure your hair is dripping wet. My curls come out so defined and moisturized. Love your content and your hair is so beautiful! Subscriber for life!

I love Kinky Curly, that's the only custard I use for wash and go's. I hate gels because of the crunch, this leaves my hair super defined and soft. I don't use the brand's leave in, I use Cantu's leave in with Creme of Nature curling cream then apply the Kinky Curly curling custard and that works perfectly for me.

I thought it was just me lol I was excited once I put in the knot today because that alone defines my curls then I added the curling custard and it felt weird going on it felt like it was sucking the moisture right out or something its the weirdest thing to explain it doesn't go on as smooth as the leave in does there's this weird resistance even with my hair soaking wet the curling custard just feels weird I prefer just the leave in as a one and done. They have this spiral spritz stuff im going to try with the leave in as a replacement for the curling custard.. Kinky curly is an occasional product line I'd use for definition but for moisture I have many other lines that are my holy grails.. Its still a good line tho if you want them curls to pop and shine.

The custard definitely takes out the moisture in my hair so I just apply an oil but it makes my hair so defined so I keep using it. I loved this wash and go on you and the color 😍😍😍

Thanks for the video. With the Knot Today, I also mix mine with water, half and half, the moisture is in the water., just shake well before using. It spreads easier that way and goes a long way. I have never used the custard, I don't think my hair needs the custard, the leave in is good enough for my hair.
