franny pie. It’s the only gel I use now! My hair loves it! You should try it! It’s a bit pricy but you don’t need a lot and a little goes a long way. First tube lasted me 3 months and I wash my hair weekly and use it for twist outs(which btw looks better on me lol). Amazon/Walmart may have it for cheaper than a regular store. Good luck and let me know how it goes!😉

I am reconsidering going back natural for the 5th time. I have hypothyroidism, low porosity, and hair that looks like yours (4c, pen spring tiny, tight coils, coarse, and wiry), and everytime I would do the big chop and wear my hair natural, the combination of these characteristics would cause an unhealthy hair journey. Each and everytime, I switch back to the relaxer, the chemical process would lift my cuticle, providing my hair with moisture I couldn't get in its natural low porosity state. The process would literally relaxed my tight coils, making my hair more pliable, elastic and causing less damage. Somehow I am able to retain length better with a chemical than being natural. The definition of insanity is to repeat something over and over, and expecting a different outcome. So I must be insane to want to try one more time to see if there is someway I can have a healthy natural hair journey.

I live in Florida. So wash and gos are my lifeline. I do wash and gos at least 6 to 8 months of the year. So thanks for this. I love kinky curly. I wish it lasted more than five days on my 4 b hair.

Did the stickiness diminished? I love playing in my hair too. I would like to revisit the gel (love the leave in) but I believe thats why I stopped using it. It gives beautiful results. Really makes the curls pop n shiny.
Yes the stickiness diminishes but each time I wet it with the curl activator it got sticky again for the moment, then went away. The hair feels very nice and soft to the touch. I think you have to play around with how much custard you use. If you try it out again let me know!
I honestly think it depends on how much you use. That’s my issue with it too. So I think with this you definitely use a little cause it will go a long way! Especially with it being a high end product, you definitely get a better quality product that lets you use less. I’m gonna rewash and try again tonight.
My mouth dropped when you stretched your hair out. I have always seen shrinkage photos but never believe it was real. First real 4c tutorial I've seen in awhile.

Fyi, you need a shampoo with sulfates to fully cleanse your hair and rid the dirt and oils from your hair. Also to prepare your hair to receive moisture.
Loving your results, healthy sheen and definition! I noticed your hair looked well moisturized before you applied the leave-in. What deep conditioner did you use? The Kinky-Curly system is my Summer staple too. I use the cleanser diluted with water (which I recommend to use before trying the line for the first time), the Adwoa beauty deep conditioner or Innersense conditioner. Then I use the KCKT leave-in on soaking wet hair, a curl cream on top then the KCCC. I get the best and most long-lasting results when I follow the instructions and apply to soaking wet hair (immediately after rinsing out deep conditioner). I then apply more KCCC during the week to any frizzy portions by spraying with water and smoothing the gel on.
Also, last tip-Just use water to refresh, don’t mix lines like using Cantu to refresh. That will lead to the style not lasting, dullness and frizz. The KCCC only needs water to refresh. The line has a Spiral Spritz (yellow bottle) for day 2,3,4 hair, but that only works if you want to reapply a thin layer of the KCCC on top of the Spritz and re-style.

I use their shampoo because I have low porosity hair and it helps with buildup. I alternate weeks with a more gentle shampoo though.
