dude im literally silver and don’t even play league anymore but still decided to watch the video, and hearing about how you translated the mindset from improving your overall life into league to hit challenger was surreal. im on that journey right now too and recognizing and resonating with the clips and Marcus Aurelius quote really hit me. this video definitely has helped to reinforce a lot of the concepts I’ve been trying to work on in my own life; self honesty, self actualization, and the whole confidence thing too. i struggled my entire life with massive insecurity and only through letting go of external expectations and learning to embrace rejection and failure have i finally overcome it. as you said, the feeling is truly liberating. amazing 10/10 video, im subbing. best of luck to you on your journey, and thank you for the important reminder to be mindful of my machine

Honestly, it's finally nice to see a video that is genuine and not another clickbait. I am truly happy for you and thankful that you were willing to share your journey to challenger with us. We need more positive high elo players like yourself. I'm aiming to get Masters this season and after that who knows, but having confidence to make mistakes (and recover from them) is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Thank you again.

    First of all, congratulations!
Secondly, I recently discovered your channel and to be honest I feel like you are what this community truly needs. Rather than telling you that hecarim has 175%wr and that you should spam it or spam pinging, sending death threats, insulting other players while bragging how good you are and complaining the lack of skill of your teammates, you simply try to help the community on a deeper level, way beyond the summoner's rift. Overall you spread positivity in a community so focused on bringing harm to others and that's something I admire.
Thirdly, this video instantly sparked my interest when I saw the title, to be precise the "9 years" part. I have been playing this game since season 5, when I was a little 9-year-old kid and it has been quite a journey. League has accompanied me throughout all of my highschool years and now I'm starting college. I don't want to know how many hours I've spent on this game. I would be terrified. League has brought me the most toxic friendships I've ever had, and I had no one else besides them. I had a mountain of problems and I tried to "solve" them doing the same thing every single time: running away and never confronting my problems. This is overall the thing that resonated with me the most within this video. The other thing that resonated with me and what I think brings me back to this game over and over again is what you described as the renaissance, every time I watch an educational video about this game and see myself slowly but surely improving. But since league took such an important role in my life and the fact that the joy I had came down to my performance, I quickly became severely depressed. And anxiety kept getting worse and worse, to the point that I could no longer (and this is still true to this day) play this game without my newfound group of friends (who aren't toxic). Ironically this became my saving grace. I took an important decision in my life, I didn't go to college, instead I took a break and during the latter half of 2022 and until september of 2023. My friends were so busy at the time that they didn't play the game, so I couldn't queue up and quit the game up until June of last year. When I came back, my mental health improved significantly and I don't know why, even though I didn't play the game for 9 months I severely improved, somewhat proving the point of this video. There is still a long way to go, I still have to overcome this "ranked anxiety" and not being able to queue up in soloq.
I hope that one day, I'll be able to overcome my problems by facing them and simply queue up to greater heights.
I don't know why I vented and told my journey of this game. But the emotional response I got with this video probably deserved it (I think that only time will tell).
But sincerely, thank you for making this video. I hope you manage to reach your goals in life

That's incredible man, I'm glad that you were able to resonate so deeply with the video. It really seems that you are going through a lot of the same stuff that I did. You have to face your problems and not run away like I did for so long. Confront them, be confident, and I promise that it will be worth it in the end. I know you are on the right path ❤️

I started playing this game in 2011 and peaked in S3 as D1 99LP (there was no master's/grandmaster's). I cannot fully remember why I stopped playing, but I think mainly due to frustration that I couldn't achieve the challenger and I just hopped onto other games. I was relatively good at that game and I always wanted to start streaming but I had bad internet and computer. I later realised I could have tried going into competitive scene, but back in the day I just played for fun and I had no idea about esports.
One of my biggest regrets is stopping playing at that moment. I sometimes get back into League. Around S7 I got back and played Taliyah all the time, hitting diamond with around 70%wr. I stopped again. In S11 I got back to hit diamond. In S12 I didn't play much and got platinum. In S13 I started liking League again and hit Master's for first time and stopped again to play other game.
The skill gap has increased so much, back in the day the games were much, much easier. Also lack of knowledge of champions doesn't help. But I sometimes wonder if I kept pushing around that S3, would I ever try the taste of e-sports? I am 27 now and I still love competitive aspect of games, but I regret that in golden years I didn't keep trying no matter what.

The true gold in this video is "The Revolution". I've seen so many "how to climb" videos and NONE of them talk deeper than "you gotta change your mindset, maaaan". You took a deep dive and....you described me. To my horror and to my relief. Horror, because it was only very recently that I started to put names on the things you talk aobut. I am mortally terrified of making mistakes and I know it for some time actually, yet I haven't been able to overcome it (yet). Seeing you being succesful gives me hope. Relief. And I thank you for that. Truly and deeply. It's a journey for sure. And just in case someone older is watching: I'm a 35 year old father of two and I'm just starting the revolution. It's never too late.

I came to this video while i was driving to see if it matched up with my experiences as i started this game in Season 2 and only after playing the game for more than 10+ years did i finally reach challenger. This video ultimately made me look further than that as climbing solo queue is fundamentally similar to climbing the social ladder in real life. This is probably one of the best videos on climbing as you really do need to be able to stay positive and maintain a constructive critical attitude toward yourself to succeed in ranked and probably in life as well. 10/10 video. I will subscribe 🙏.

Seems very consistent with what Coach Curtis and Nathan talk about on BBC. Congrats on climbing but more importantly on getting your life into a better state - people forget how important that is. League might have been the motivation, and that’s exactly why trying hard and having passion for something is important for your growth as an individual overall.

Feels good to have subscribed to you after watching that masterpiece. I came for a simple league video to get myself to sleep. However, I ended up with lots of life lessons that I will be trying to apply to all areas of my life. Thank you bro, keep it up!

Damn, this is definitely not what i expected. Truly a video of great quality. I hit master this season and becoming self conscious is truly a must for climbing but i got mad at every mistake that i made aswell and that ruined a lot of my games. Once i balanced it out a bit better (still not right) i went from Emerald to Master. Looking for more next season

Not sure if you will read this message, I am 37 and love league but people keep saying I am " Dinosaur, ancient, relic, and just too old". I love watching the pro scene and have teams I truly admire and root for as a fan. However, for the last few years I've been stuck in bronze and finally got silver... what I am getting at i is my goal has always been challenger and people keep telling me it's just not achieveable at my age ( life, family,work,... etc) but I really believe I can do it. Your video has given me the motivation to achieve it ... I know folks in the comments will clown at me " Bro get a life , why are you playing a video game at that age?... blah blah" ...etc I trully love the lore and game of league of legends. I just want to say thanks for putting together this video and inspiring to achieve a goal - I truly want - god bless.

Loved the dedication, thank you 🙏🏻

Being in a progress state of mind while grinding league because of free time. Seeing the same concepts applied by you being convertable to my own life. Thanks for the thoughts behind your video. Love the way you brought that to a wide range of different people. Your a real human in an unreal world adressing problems many feel in their every day life and in certain aspect of their life. Keep it up, we grow together and get further as we shall do. Much love

This video is teaching me more than making it to challenger on league. I really appreciate it man you don't understand. Kinda makes me a little emotional.😂
"The most constraining feeling in the world is living in what if's"
Man, I FELT that. I do it so much in life outside of league.

this is possibly one of the best videos i have ever seen. i like people who can look outside of gaming and put real life philosophy / psychology back into gamers. Alot of the younger people i meet i usually tell them their learning habits and some parts of who they are at the moment as a person can be dictated by how they play what games they play and how they get good or enjoy the game.
if you are good at gaming the world is your oyster you can make anything happen. if your bad thats ok too we can learn how you learn to help you people become better people. gaming is different for many people.
    once again fantastic video!!

Bro this Video was amazing, very motivating and opened my eyes in many ways in and outside of league. Ive been having some issues with trusting myself and following through on plans because failing before led to low selfbelieve and selfconfidence, but my view on things was just very wrong. i need to forgive my past self and move on, improve and learn from my past mistakes. i shall rise again and will show myself that im still worth being trusted and the machine is still worth being maintained. thank you so much for this, i really didnt expect this video to turn out like that

Brother, i came for the league content but you hit me really hard with the fear of failure and real confidence. I am a professional athlete and an avid league player and lately fear of failure has been destroying everything I work for, I needed this.
