      @@HotGarbageSports Depends on the school. Not sure how it's taught in American public schools, but I went to a parochial school where geography was rather comprehensive. They made it "fun" - filling out maps of regions and continents by rote memory. All of it was counted towards your grade so you had no choice but to learn it. State capitols were learned and memorized in 4th grade I think? Maybe it was 5th.

    • @HotGarbageSports
      @HotGarbageSports  2 года назад

      @@TickleMeElmo55 same with us but did you have to memorize Canada and Mexico provinces and capitals? Our grade 4/5 maps education we needed to draw and note Canada + 10 provinces 3 territory’s and their capitals, USA 50 states capitals and territories, Mexico (provinces). Now can I remember them? Maybe …. 20% haha !

    So very interesting topic for sure. I know some fans will be like duh, the AHL then OHL, WHL, QMJ, and the ECHL, but man that is no way the end of the list, how many other US leagues do I not know, how many varsity players sign. Holy shit then there is overseas, I'm down for a good breakdown, unpause now.

    • @HotGarbageSports
      @HotGarbageSports  3 года назад

      Girls Path is always to be getting them IN front of as my college scouts as you can, Girls Prep hockey in Canada should do that and give them exposure to major American schools. Also if they are good players likely an easy scholarship to almost any Canadian school as well. Because NCAA must match dollar for dollar men to women as well as the Canadiens CIS Girls hockey gets A LOT of great money and scholarships just keep working hard, and be prepared as girls Prep is like 20k a year... yikes...

    Outside of the NHL, of course, do any of the hockey players get paid and paid enough to make a living? After all, it would benefit the NHL if players didn't have to worry about financial pressure.

    • @HotGarbageSports
      @HotGarbageSports  3 года назад +2

      Yes they do KHL players make a good living and those European pro leagues pay nice to.
      KHL average is like 500k - the big fish in the KHL get like 6-10 million but it’s only Russians and guys like kovalchuk. Most guys after the top 10 make under a million
      Europe depends it’s anywhere from 30k -300k yearly
      It can be way bette run Europe or the KHL than the AHL for many but the AHL offers expose to the NHL like nothing else and a call up for a game in the NHL is worth 10s of thousands a game
