I used to have a friend who was an Actuarial Scientist who made tons of money a month. I think at the time he graduated from Wits, they were only 3 black Actuarial Scientists in South Africa.
I wonder where your friend is now. I bet he is somewhere overseas, a lot of people drop out because it’s not what they thought they knew about the career. Currently there are 1277 actuaries and out of that number only 109 are black and out of the 109 51 are female , so we still have a long way to go.
A guy whose a qualified actuary connected with me and Tiktok telling me he's been looking for a job for over a year now, can you believe it, I dont know what could be the reason he is not employed

Btw they're called actuaries, not actuarial scientists. You study actuarial science to become an actuary :)
