I’m 28 years old, I hold a bachelors degree in Human Movement Science and a code 8 drivers license. I obtained level 6 in English matric final mark.I’m currently a self employed personal trainer/ fitness instructor. I'm a former police captain and I lost hope in our current police service. Too much corruption is going on and incompetent members are promoted. You need to recruit the best available candidates and not allow students to buy their way in the police like with the previous intake.

You don’t need a diploma in policing to become a police officer. You only need the requirements on the advert that I talk about at the end of this video. I hope you applied for the ones that closed on the 30th of June.

You don't have to study policing in college to become a police officer. In police College you will be taught law for a year and receive N5 certificate when you pass out.
Then when you are a member you can study policing for free if you want to continue.

A squad of police walking up my road, only one could actually pass fitness, how does this work?
I don't know for sure but I think fitness is only required during training unless you are part of the recces and most of the recruits are young men who play football so there is some level of fitness

Why would I want to join Criminals? I live in Phoenix Durban, I see these criminals in uniform collect bribes from Drug dealers daily in our area! I see them doing the same thing in the CBD of Durban aswell. Being a Police officer in South Africa is one of the worse career moves! I'd never want my child to become a Police officer.
You dont get a "salary" but a stipend...

For those who don't know, the free food they give you really tastes like dog shite. A lot of trainees end up using their R4500 stipend on buying food. Just keep that in mind, that training "salary" doesn't go to your bank account.
