Great build. The painted vehicle name looks more realistic than decal. This machine seems to the ancestor to the similar looking modern day armored vehicles.
I think a bit more rust around the rivets would have been appropriate and I think the kit needs an engine and a figure or two. You did a BEAUTIFUL job with the paint. I love your black basing technique.
Thanks David ! I'm a big fan of black basing too. I dont often add a base and figures but I am for the next build. Sometimes the vehicle is enough for me before the next project 😆 I bet these rusted a lot more, like you said, a bit more wouldn't have hurt. Many thanks 😊
Nice niche model from CSM. I think they are really the replacement of former WNW in most parts. An engine would have been nice, but this probably will be supplied by aftermarket producers. Excellent build again James. Keep up the good work ✨👍✨
Another amazing build, James....I wouldn't change one solitary thing.....it's beautifully detailed by your painting and weathering. Always a pleasure watching your work and the wait was definitely worth it.
Great to see those more "esoteric" armoured cars built in such high quality! Having had the chance to see a somewhat similar (though later) Daimler DZVR 21 in person at a German museum those nearly steampunk aesthetics did leave quite an impression in 1:1 scale as well 👍
@@lpjmodels A Great armor car comes out. I am to like Copperstate models. They have good models from the First World War. But you have great skills in painting. Have old are you made models?
Hi James, have to say, that is another beautiful model, thanks for sharing it with us. In return I'll give you a little titter. I was avidly watching you painting but thought there was something slightly askew with the model, couldn't put my finger on it. It wasn't until you were putting the decals on that I realised it doesn't have "Normal" tyres on it. I think I had a small "senior moment."
This is yet another beautiful build, looks amazing mate, properly nice job, especially painting those decals on! I'm really tempted to try one of these copper state armoured cars now, every single one you've built on this channel look like awesome kits!
This is a super cool build but I'm disappointed there was no engine supplied with the kit, especially since finding a period correct engine somewhere else is going to difficult. It just seems odd to have such a detailed hood/bonnet with all those hatches that could be posed open that there's no engine, seems like if they wanted to go that route it would've been easier to mold the hood with nonfunctional hatches. I like the hand painted lettering on the hood better than the decal tbh, looks more authentic to me. 👍👍
Lovely job as always James! Re 3D printed parts.. I've noticed that after market companies that specialise in them tend to leave the build supports or design it with a protective cage especially as they know it needs to survive couriers! Model companies could save themselves time doing the same as they have to 3D print supports anyway. It's just wasting time to then remove them. BTW you mentioned it looked a bit messy in close up. I think that's /encouraging/ to other modellers. If theirs looks a bit naff in close they won't worry which they might if they thought it should look perfect at all times. A thought for decals... if you do have to remove them, can you then trace them with a scalpel to leave you with a stencil to paint them in?
Julian the last tip is a great idea and I didn't think of that. I'm not the greatest at cutting things out neatly but if I find myself in this spot again, I think maybe it would be time to try it
You and a csM kit it s a wonderful moment in video.I’m fan of your work. But I m angry at you.Because of you I want to buy all the CSM kitseven if I would never have your talent 😊 thanks sir for the great pleausure moment when I see your videos
Based on the Lancaster that I purchased from CS and followed your build ….and though I say it myself did a more than half descent job …I have now purchased this one ……..so based on the past one …see you sometime in May / June …..seriously though great modelling …..are you going to do one of the CS first WW planes with the struts and wires …hope so
Hi James, I like what you have done there, I wish we could get Copper State kits' at a price that include costing me a kidney and it is good to know I'm not the only one with sausage fingers🤨.
I think I might be going a bit crazy but I have looked at this video on two monitors and my phone and can't seem to figure out how green the model is. Does it look quite green in person or would you say its more overall grey ?
It's roughly RAL 7010 as a mid tone , it sits inbetween panzer grey and field grey ( like the tamiya shade ). I used a colour picker app from a screenshot to get a rough idea from a photo I know represents the colour well.
I hope you liked the vid
Absolutely nailed it James! Beautiful work. I'm a 1/48 airplane modeller and I am tempted by this kit now! Very cool.
Lovely videography , workflow and final result, James 👍
I think your hand painted lettering was excellent. Came out gorgeous!
Thanks ! I was a bit concerned about it. ( it took 2 goes as well but didn't have time to put that in )
Best copper state armoured car builds out there! Thanks a lot James for this fun to watch video!
Thanks a lot Chris ! Much appreciated 🙏
A fantastic build as ever. It would look great as a diorama with a couple of figures.... 🤔
thanks so much @staplesandvine !
Love the way the gril turned out
Thanks ! The 3d part was a good balance of detail and finesse
Great build. The painted vehicle name looks more realistic than decal. This machine seems to the ancestor to the similar looking modern day armored vehicles.
It looks like MRAP, tall and blocky.
Thankyou ! I agree

Thanks Dutch Dave ! I agree. I have the caudron in the stash and it looks amazing. A bit daunting though 😀
Really nice build.
Thanks @scalehangar182 much appreciated
Now that is how you paint and weather a model! Fantastic build mate! Absolute quality! Love the video and keep it up!
A beautiful build. I love all the shades of gray you incorporate. Your video work is also well executed. Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Nice to see a nother model from you James looking forward to seeing some more very soon you should but this one on a simple Sean
Thanks John, I'll see if I can get round to it !
That was a totally excellent build, as others have said your presentation style is perfect, bext regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👌👍👌👍
Thanks Les !
Another amazing build, James....I wouldn't change one solitary thing.....it's beautifully detailed by your painting and weathering. Always a pleasure watching your work and the wait was definitely worth it.
Thanks Robbo I'm glad you enjoyed the build 😀
Nice to see those exension tubes are helping get those close ups! That Phot-etch looks crazy! Another awesome build bro! :D
Thanks mate ! I'll have to start giving you a video credit for getting onto those things 😀
just stumbled across your copper state ww1 model videos again and absolutely love them! great references for my ideas!

Thanks Tom. I had to Google it and its a total unit ! Love to see it in person
Hello from Latvija!
hi Alex!

Your paintwork is excelent Sir
Fantastic James. I have this kit in my stash and am moving it to the front of the queue. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hope you enjoy it!
You are definitely a skilled model builder
Thankyou ! I try my best
Nice one James. As always a great job!
Thanks Ferbie !
Great build mate! Thank you for sharing your techniques!👍🏾
My pleasure!
That is super cool brilliant finish and a great subject 👍
Thanks a lot David
Comme d'habitude un véritable travail d'artiste... BRAVO !!!
Merci !
Another beautiful finish. Lovely stuff 😉
I love CSM kits and you can certainly bring the best out of them, nice job.
Thanks mate !
Amazing 👍👍👍
thanks a lot ! :)
Amazing! I really missed your builds :)

Thanks Simon, they are great kits, plenty to choose from now too
I think your hand painted markings look better than the decals. More realistic.
Thanks, I was a little worried about it
@lpjmodels No worries James. Whenever possible I hand paint or ab markings using masks. Not a big fan of decals although sometimes they're necessary
Great presentation of your modelling skills, well done!
Thanks a lot !
Congrats! This process will be very helpful for my next project.
Thankyou and good luck !
Great work!
Thanks Robert
A very nice build and I really like the modulation on the grey paint. CSM do some very good models
Thanks Allan , it came out ok. It's a little more subtle in person but that works welln
Really enjoyed this one.
Glad to hear!
Nice choice of vehicle. Great work.
Outstanding build.
Beautiful work, love the modulation.
Thanks a lot!

I understand, as a lazy modeller I don't mind but I can see why it would be annoying. I think also less plastic kept the price down
really nice model and paint job!
Thank you! Cheers!
really enjoyable video, especially the weathering nice one.
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing job! Thanks for share.
Cheers
Many thanks!
Absolutely beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Great build! Love the name of it. Gotta get me one!
You should!
Excellent as always.
Thanks again!
Looks great mate, well done!!
Thanks a lot!
Fantastic video and a great finish to the kit.👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
You do such amazing work on these CSM vehicles!
Glad you like them!
Great result 👏

Absolutely gorgeous work mate :)
Thanks Mr Weekly !
Perfect 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great job!
Thanks!
A little late to the party but it came out amazing! Well done
Great build, pity about the lack of engine though . I s'pose you could go for after market.
Nice work James, it looks great, needs a diorama base?
Thanks John. I'll think about it. With low mojo it's hard to stick with one thing atm 😀
@@lpjmodels Hang in there James, we all go through it, just keep at it and you'll be fine.
awesome looking kit, and as normal a cracking build. When is this one out? And you talk about sausage fingers try the same with oldman hands lol.
Thanks Del ! I find myself with shaky hands lately. Not good ... it should be out now ish !

That's a shame, here most are about £30‐40
Great video! Quick question, how many 3d printed machine guns did you use? Did you replace all 4?
Applying that decal on the radiator slats would have tested my chi severely
it wasnt too bad, they fit ok !
✌🏼😎👍🏼
hi Sy !

hope you enjoyed it !
Can we see some modern jets maybe in a dogfight diorama
I dont have a lot of modern in the stash. I'm overdue doing one though

❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

At 1:33, looks like the shaft didn`t quite make it to the gear box..?
I didnt notice, being an early sample of the kit there may have been a few differences to the main release
It looks like current MRAP, tall and blocky.
I agree, it's like we've come full circle
Nice build , very nice deekils
