    Thanks for sharing your adventure! This is close to home (North Bay) will have to check this area out soon - maybe before after bug season 😂. Type 2 fun. Great job editing too 💪🏽🛶

    Brings back some great memories! I made several trips to fish Kipawa back in the '60s. Our first trip was hosted by Pat Bouchellet who then owned 3 Season's Camp. Later his son Jerry took over and hosted us on 3 more trips

      Thanks Kevin! I’m sure you will get into some good fishing there. I’ve heard there’s some big ones in Kipawa.

    Loved the opening map, Such a great idea! Enjoying all the Laker action.
    Hope you don't mind me asking but what drone are you running and what battery system are you using to charge it? Thanks for posting Cheers!

      Thanks! We are using the DJI mini 3 pro. We bring 3 batteries (two are the larger capacity) and charge them up with smaller sized battery banks. It seems to work well even on longer trips.

      You can't use a drone for trolling Tyler🤣

    The safety chain "fell off" eh?? 🧐 As a trucker I've never seen or heard of that happening... Forgetting to hook it up on the other hand... 😂 Awesome fish! I gotta explore more Quebec!

    when do the black flies lessen

    • @tailwindsnorth
      @tailwindsnorth  7 месяцев назад

      It depends on the area and the type of spring we have but usually they come out a few weeks after the ice is gone (blackflies breed in fresh/moving water). Generally they are bad for a few weeks in mid-late May in Ontario and southern Quebec and are mostly gone by mid-June.

    Why are you fishing if you ain't keeping them and eating them

    Blue is the worst colour to wear in mosquito and black fly country.

      Is it?! I’ll take this into account & test it… non-seriously. I don’t want any hater comments 😬😆

      I've heard it was a bad one I'm not sure if it's worse than black, but they say white is ideal or light tan if you don't like the stains.

      Agreed studies showed blue is a magnet for black flies. Crazy how outdoor clothing companies have these colours. Tan, olive drab, light brown is superior.

      @@Naughtz I always wear khaki or tan or olive drab and it works.

      @conifergreen2 same man. My wife on a spring canoe trip wore a blue jacket and got destroyed. I was wearing my tan gear and not even close to as many bugs around me going through the bogs. I swear by it. Articles written all over about wearing light natural colours. Also easier to spot ticks on a light natural colour, better blending into the wilderness the list goes on.
