Folks, I'm aware that the trailing wheel on NP locomotive is not moving all the time. I missed it during editing and there's nothing I can do about it now. That trailing axel probably needs some oil or something. It'll be ok. :) Also, excuse my stuffy voice as I had a cold while I was filming this.
I've had the same issue before. No biggie, a shot of lube and an adjustment solves it. ..or just run and break the thing in like you are doing. Impressive consist, and great idea shooting from all the new angles. I'm more of a tutorial guy, but I'd have to agree with one of your other commenters (my opinion) that this is definitely one of your top 5 best video reviews. Quality content Eric.
I suspect it is the engine’s drawbar lifting the trailing truck. I rarely have this same visual perspective so I will be looking for the same issue with my engines in the future.
I think the weight on the trailing trucks is too light, I've seen that issue on a couple O-27 units I've owned in the past, it looks like they will roll fine if they are actually touching the rails. You may need to add additional weight on them for more prototypical operation.
I think I remember you unboxing the N&W earlier video, as soon as I saw the weathering I bought one… absolutely fantastic… I have a few of his weathered steam engines
I got out of the old scale I'm with you on having to be able to afford the Lionel legacy I had three of them I had to sell them one of the saddest days of my life
There really is nothing better than the sounds of these engines, when the whistle was blowing in the tunnel it sounded straight out of a 1950s n&w promotional film.
Just want you to know how big of an influence you have been on my train collection. I had all the old post war I wanted along with accessories. I have old Standard Gauge from the 1914-1940’s. Then I saw you channel and bought the Brute set for my Standard Gauge and many modern remote control sets from both Lionel and MTH. I’m currently completely out of room. Thank you so much for introduction to modern trains. I have the best of all worlds now 🙂
Awesomeness!!! I currently have the un-weathered N&W 2021 waiting for me at legacy station! I can't wait to get it home! Thanks for showing us 3 different models. It really shows how much real-life detail they put into these models. 😁
@@k-lineproductions3972 watch the video carefully, starting at 27:07 and you will clearly see Eric's money tree. He isn't shy about telling you how he harvests the fruit.
Awesomeness, lovely engines, layout and camera work. I enjoy the detailed overview and then the running shots. I look forward to these videos. Especially the steam engines. Great way to unwind.
Nice to see 3 steam engines all lashed together. I lashed three Lionel alleghany TMMC 's together. They worked great. How do you measure the pulling power weight? I was watching a 2015 video and you were going to be 40 years old and that was in January. Happy birthday, I don't know what day it was. Now its 2022, I'm not going to do the math, haha
Pretty sure Northern Pacific. 4501 didn't have 4 air pumps... (2 on the smokebox front and 2 underneath the running boards on the engineer's side) obviously an oversight
Outstanding!!! I keep thinking about buying into this and shipping to the UK. I’ve been toying with building an N scale in the garage or OO around the garden but then I see this in O… thinking lol
Thank you Eric!! Hope 2022 is treating you guys well. Also, I know you don't have it but what is your opinion on the Pennsylvania T1 4-4-4-4 locomotive? It's in my top 3 favorites and was curious if you'd looked into it
Hi @Eric’sTrains! I viewed many of your o gauge model loco reviews from 10 years ago to now. I was wondering: Have you heard of the Union Pacific/EMD SW10 Diesel Switchers?
Dear Eric’s Trains, My dad has three postwar aluminum passenger cars that were offered in a set by Lionel with the 2383 Santa Fe A-A F units, which I don’t have and have been searching model railroad conventions in the Atlanta area for over a decade with no luck. Do you happen to know of any Lionel 2383 Santa Fe A-A F units that are missing their rolling stock to pull?
What camera are you using? I use the GoPro Hero 8, I just got it last week or so. Love it, love the fact I can use my phone to record transfer and edit all in one. My newest video is on my RUclips channel. Getting ready to rewire my Plasticville buildings. Note I’m a Postwar train guy.
It's funny how I must have watched this video 1,000 times while editing it and I never noticed that....and yet it's the first thing viewers notice. It always happens like that lol.

I also noticed the Santa Fe’s trailing wheels weren’t moving all the time at 5:12
Is it sprung?

Hey Eric been watching you for years and just want to say thanks for all the amazing videos. You by far have the best layout around…

I'm curious as to your favorite train that you never got a chance to purchase or had a chance and could not purchase it for some reason or another

Love when you review steam Eric
how on Earth do you afford this pure awesomeness?
I developed an actual money tree.
Wait 'til the capacitors dry out. they'll make nice display engines. So long, I'm going to run my 1939 226E

The rear trailing truck on the 4501 seems to be skidding somewhat.
I'm a very very very very very very very very very big fan of you Because you have trains mode trains
All the power combined it’s over 9000 !!!!!!
Phenomenal Acquisition’s Congratulations! I just got my first sound equipped cars and I absolutely love them . They add a nice touch 🙂

I love how the N&W loco's doghouse has a separate light.
Yeah that's cool
I have a old HO Scale 2-8-8-2 Pennsylvania

Do you happen to know of any Lionel 2383 Santa Fe A-A F units that are missing their rolling stock to pull?
Lionel made about a million of those, so there's plenty around.
I actually found the nickname for all the 2-8-8-2 wheel arrangements. They called them "chesapeakes"
very good video. even tho iam HO, i love seeing your lionel content.
Amazing eric
Thanks
The only thing I can say is sweet!!👍👍

Eric the back set of wheels under the cab on northern pacific is not rolling most of the time
nothing i can do about it now
I have a question for you how can I hook up 2 of the 80 W Transformers to give more power to my train
What's better than 3 Lionel 2-8-8-2's? One Erie 2-4-6-8-10-12 S. Berliner.
What did you find out about the trailing truck? Did it just need some oil or something else?
Are you upgrading to the cab 3 base?
Awesome ♐
Hola buenas tardes excelente modelo muy bueno el video avrazo grande
gracias
What brand of O scale track due you use??
What about your Lionel N&W Y6B? Do you still have it?
Hey Eric I was wondering if you preordered a vision line class A? If so which one did you choose?
Yes. I ordered #1218
Eric do you have a USRA 2-8-8-2?
I noticed the trailing shells don’t work the best
I meant wheels stupid Auto correct
Want all of them but not in O scale
Eric did Legacy Station have any more of the N&W engines ?
I'm not sure. I know they have a Virginian still in stock.
@@Ericstrains Thanks, I called them today and Brian told me they do not have any N&W left but have a couple of the other roads in stock.
Does erics trains reply
yes, i do.
Did it take you very long to weather your track Eric?
not too long. I did it over a long period of time though. Little here, little there.
How do you make sure multiple engines are in sync?
Lionel's Legacy Command system takes care of that. You just built the train in the system and the software takes it from there.
@@Ericstrains ok thanks.
How much is each one of these?
Wow 😳😲😲😲 good 😊🤣😱
This guy has 3 2-8-8-2 locomotives and I can’t even get one sd70ace
The trailing wheel on the NP seems frozen - its not turning.
It's funny how I must have watched this video 1,000 times while editing it and I never noticed that....and yet it's the first thing viewers notice. It always happens like that lol.
Eric. Is that N&W engine a Y6-B ?
No I don’t think so. They all use the Y3 tooling if I’m not mistaken, give or take some cosmetic changes here or there depending on road name
@@railfanjackson4531 The Y6-B had 2 different size cylinders. The front is larger than the rear and looking at the video the front seems larger.
👍

you cross the line dude

I can't even get a table to start my 4×8 layout LMAO
