Dacia Duster receives new 1.3 TCe PF petrol engine in 130 hp and 150 hp versions
More power and efficiency for greater driving pleasure, fuel consumption always under control and reduced emissions
Like the Blue dCi 115 4WD diesel engine launched last summer, the new petrol engine also features state-of-the-art emissions reduction systems, including a particulate filter (PF)
In Switzerland, Dacia Duster 1.3 TCe PF is marketed from CHF 17'590.- (Comfort version)
After renewing the Blue dCi 115 4WD Diesel engine, Dacia is introducing in Switzerland the new 1.3 TCe petrol engines in 130 hp 4x2 and 150 hp 4x2 versions on Duster. The new petrol engines, such as the Blue dCi 115 4WD diesel engine available since last summer, have ultramodern systems for reducing pollutant emissions equipped, among other things, with a particulate filter.
The new, lighter aluminum engine block incorporates new innovations such as “Bore Spray Coating”. This coating technology, used inside the cylinder, makes it possible, through better heat management, to achieve better performance and increased driving pleasure.
Other technologies optimize engine comfort and reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, such as direct gasoline injection, the pressure of which has been increased to 250 bar and the mixture of which with air has been optimized thanks to a design specific to the combustion chamber. In addition, the "Dual Variable Timing Camshaft" technology, which controls the intake and exhaust valves according to the demands of the engine, provides more torque at low revs and more torque available, in a linear fashion, at high revs. .
This new engine offers a significant gain in terms of driving pleasure, with better torque at low revs and greater and constant availability at high revs. It meets the highest demands in terms of reliability and durability with:
130 hp (96 kW) at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 240 Nm at 1,500 rpm, i.e. +5 hp compared to the previous generation
150 hp (110 kW) at 5,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm at 1,600 rpm, i.e. +25 hp compared to the previous generation
The new “Blue dCi” engines incorporate the latest systems for reducing polluting emissions. Located in the exhaust line, the oxidation catalyst now incorporates "selective catalytic reduction" (SCR) technology. Working with a solution based on urea (Adblue) this technology also allows a greater elimination of nitrogen dioxide (NOx) emissions, better efficiency and engine performance.
In addition to the “selective catalytic reduction” (SCR) system, the dCi 115 is upgraded with a new Air-Water exchanger, higher injection pressure (2,000 bars) and reworked gearbox ratios.
Dacia introduced the new generation of its diesel engines to Duster, fitted with the latest systems for reducing polluting emissions. Renamed for the occasion "Blue dCi", this new engine guarantees increased performance and optimized fuel consumption for prices that are as unbeatable as ever.

Thanks Dan, great video! Ordered the prestige automat. I agree with Dan. After test driving it I can only say it's a great car for the value. Smooth gearshifting and not noicy. Added the shark antenna, leather seats and some other extra's. Don't think any car can beat that for this price to be honest. Further more, Dacia is well known for being much more trustworthy than some of the more expensive brands.

@@harrys1814 Hi. I am absolutely and still happy with my Duster TCe 150 2WD Automatic. Indeed. I have purchased the Prestige trim with all options. Since I bought my car their prices increased a bit. But that's true for almost everything meanwhile. Its a reliable car, comfortable (it really is, enough for me), has all the solid bells and whistles I am fine with. Great value for money. The car never felt unsafe at all. Dacia is lacking some (more modern) drive assistants which nowadays give extra "safety" points in e.g. NCAP crash test rankings but the Duster has 6 air bags, blind spot warner, front, rear and side camera and driving is fun. Get's noisier inside above 130 km/h. Radio signal is a bit weak sometimes, but using Apple Car Play is really nice and I like the keyless go feature. I love my Duster. My wife still loves her 1.5 year old Duster, no issues so far. I recommend test driving it to get the best impressions.

Suspension, acceleration, steering? Also interesting to compare it to Suzuki SX4 or Vitara 1.4 turbo, Mitsubishi ASX 2.0 and Reno capture.
The price differences are not so huge for a fully equipped version if resale value is taken in the consideration, so it would be interesting to hear opinions about the above models compared to each other.

    • @SDADanCars
      @SDADanCars  Год назад +1

Thank you for your interest in the car and for raising the concern about its safety rating. I understand that safety is a crucial aspect to consider when purchasing a vehicle. Regarding the Duster's 3-star NCAP safety rating, it's important to note that safety ratings are based on extensive testing and evaluation of various factors.
While a 3-star rating indicates that there may be room for improvement, it doesn't necessarily mean that the car is unsafe. It's recommended to gather more information about the specific safety features and technologies incorporated in the Duster. Additionally, you can search online for detailed safety reviews or consult with automotive experts who may have conducted in-depth evaluations of the vehicle.
Considering your personal preferences and requirements, it's advisable to test drive the car and evaluate how it feels on the road. This will allow you to assess its safety features, handling, and overall performance firsthand.
Remember, every car has its own set of strengths and weaknesses. It's important to strike a balance between your desired features, budget, and safety considerations. I encourage you to conduct thorough research and consult with professionals to make an informed decision that best aligns with your needs. Thank you for reaching out, and I appreciate your interest in our videos.

The problem I am seeing here is vs MG HS Excite, or Essence especially, which when converted to Australian dollars is actually cheaper here than the Dacia (which is coming to us soon via Renault). The MG has incredible safety tech standard as well as a 5 star crash test vs 1 for Dacia. You can also get it in 225HP/360nm version in 6 speed DSG with AWD and an absolutely beautiful interior. My niece paid for her MG excite AWD with metallic black paint the exact equivalent of 23,000 Euros, drive away price. The only thing I can see Dacia has above this is 360 camera, but MG has that in next model up which is equivalent of 26K Euro! (driveaway total price).. For that you get the top spec AWD with leather and electric heated seats and fantastic 360 camera. In two wheel drive version like the Dacia here, the top range MG can be had for the same price (with 155 HP/250nm engine in FWD form and 7 speed DSG). There's just no comparison in my eyes. Do you not get the MG cars there? I examined over 50 various models in the 6 months quest I took to buying my car. I drove so many and compared so many vs features/performance for cost, quality etc. And for the price, the MG is the best SUV I have ever driven in my life to this day, I am not joking. I have never seen such a comfortable car with such stunning interior for this price ever before. I told my sister and she too agreed, and her girls loved it, and she bought two in mid spec AWD (for safety for new young drivers) for both her daughters, and I ended up with Cupra Ateca, but the point is, when MG is on the cards for the same price, the Dacia looks bad. That's just my opinion of course.

My 2019 Duster has an issue with the steering. Steering wheel is heavier when turning right when pushing the car harder. At small speed you can barely feel it. Have reported this at the service multiple times in the past year but still haven’t figured out what’s wrong. Not sure I trust Dacia anymore. Nice review though. Cheers

A very nice car, which should be available mainly with a small diesel engine. Unfortunately, the expensive automatic transmission is offered exclusively with a petrol engine.
Lately, car companies seem to want to entice customers to return to gasoline with various "temptations" (such as the automatic transmission that only equips gasoline-powered cars). This is observed in most car brands today in their small models.
With the exception of the PSA group and the Korean manufacturers who offer small diesel engines with very nice automatic transmissions, all other manufacturers, if they continue to offer small diesel models, now equip it exclusively with manual transmissions, as if preventing customers from diesel models.
But why; Is it because they are more durable and this "bothers" car repair shops? Is it cheaper to consume and does this "bother" the gas stations?
Gasoline engines in real driving still have high consumption.

    DELUSIONE TOTALE!!!
    DELUSIONE TOTALE!!!
