    Unveiled with the new Arizona Orange bodywork, the New Duster has a more contemporary design. Not only is this evolution more stylish, but it has improved the Duster’s aerodynamic performance for greater efficiency.
    At the front end, the New Duster adopts the style features of Dacia’s refreshed visual identity first seen on the Sandero and Sandero Stepway. New light units include Y-shaped daytime running lights, a new shape that also inspired the new 3D chromed radiator grille. This more contemporary front end reinforces the New Duster’s personality.
    The always-on lighting at the front and rear feature the new Dacia light signature, and the Duster is the first Dacia model to be equipped with front LED direction indicators. This technology is also used for the dipped headlights (with automatic main beam activation as standard), and the number plate lights. As well as lower electricity consumption, the LEDs offer brighter lighting, day and night, providing greater visibility for both the driver and other road users.
    Thanks to the advanced expertise of Dacia’s innovative designers and engineers, the Duster’s aerodynamic performance has been improved. The design of the new rear spoiler and new 16 and 17-inch alloy rims have been put to the test in a wind tunnel. The set of CO2 optimisations (new wheel bearings and tyres, LED lighting) including the drag area (SCx) allows a reduction of up to 5.8g of CO2 on the 4x4 version of the New Duster.
    The New Duster improves the comfort of its occupants with a more inviting cabin. It is equipped with new upholstery, new headrests, and a high centre console with a wide retracting armrest. The New Duster also offers two multimedia systems with a new 8-inch touchscreen.
    The upholstery for the seats on the New Duster is 100 per cent new, and the fabric and shape of the enhanced headrests offer improved ergonomics. The new, slim profile of the headrests improves the visibility in the passenger compartment for rear passengers looking to the front and vice versa.
    A major new feature is the inclusion of a high centre console with a sliding armrest that retracts 70mm. Available on selected models, it houses a closable, 1.1-litre storage compartment and two USB charging sockets for the rear passengers.
    The comprehensive standard equipment includes an onboard computer screen, automatic main beam activation and cruise control and speed limiter with backlit controls on the steering wheel.
    Automatic climate control with a digital display, heated front seats and a hands-free card are available on higher specification versions.
    The New Duster is available with a choice of two new multimedia systems. In addition to the Dacia Plug & Radio audio equipment (radio, MP3, USB, and Bluetooth), two new, user-friendly multimedia systems are available: Media Display and Media Nav. These are accessed through the new centrally mounted 8-inch touchscreen on the dashboard.
    True to its heritage, the Dacia Duster is a dependable SUV for both every day and off-road use. Its high ground clearance, new tyres and specific 4x4 Monitor (on the four-wheel drive version) mean the Duster is at home on both the road and off the beaten track.
    The New Duster is your everyday companion and continues to offer genuine all-terrain features, including:
    A ground clearance of 217 mm on the two-wheel drive version and 214 mm on the 4x4.
    A breakover angle of 21-degrees.
    An approach angle of 30-degrees.
    A departure angle of 34-degrees on the two-wheel drive version and 33-degrees on the 4x4.
    The New Duster features a new type of tyre, no matter which version a customer opts for. The two-wheel drive version is fitted with ‘green’ CO2-optimised tyres as standard, giving a 10 per cent reduction in rolling resistance.
    On the 4x4 version, the tyres meet the official 3PMSF requirements. The excellent grip that these provide means that winter tyres are no longer necessary.

    I would get any SUV with 4WD / AWD, because the only way cars like this in my opinion make sense is if they have 4WD / AWD. A lot of small SUVs I see don’t have 4WD / AWD.

    You did exactly the same drive test (street and turn around) as you did à few months ago with the automatic one. You could have done something NeW bruh !
    My question is : what is the difference concerning consumption between the 2 (it seems that the 4x4 is more important) ?
    Thanks in advance ✊🏻🏴‍☠️✊🏻

      Michael for consumption Diesel 👍 Not a huge difference but is better

    • @michaelwhittman2788
      @michaelwhittman2788 2 года назад

      Maintanence is more expensive for the diesel but all depends on your needs...ill get 1.3 4x4 for overlanding ...at first i was gunna get 1.5 dci but i changed my mind...diesels are to complex these days for being out in the styx...but i do like 1.5 dci, great little engine

  • @flywalll
    @flywalll 2 года назад +4

    If you buy, get the diesel. The 4x4 version spends 4.7 l/100km on average. Tested it on a road trip for more than 1000 km on one tank. Real world conditions, with AC on. Of course, you shouldn't push the gas too much. ;) Also, I took mine to the dirt roads in the Swiss mountains, incredible what it can achieve and goes where few 'normal' cars can reach. It's a true 4x4. Come to Lausanne, we can go on a road trip if you want.

      @@L4ftyOne, depends. If it's an SUV that actually goes off-road, I'd choose the SUV on any day! There's nothing more beautiful to reach far away places and camp with your car as a starting point to your adventure. At the same time, there's nothing more dissapointing than an SUV that looks off-Roady but doesn't actually go off-road. Many such vehicles these days all the Peugeots, Opel Moka, GMCs, Renault Kadjar and Arkana, also even the BMW X series, Ford SUVs like the Ecosport are notorious. All these are fake weekend worriors. The Duster is not one of those SUVs. It's actually pretty capable off road and many farmers here in mountainous Switzerland choose to buy it for true purpose (similar to Suzuki Jimny). In terms of practical car space per spent dollar (PCS/SD 😅) , nothing came close to the Duster for years (even all other branded station wagons) until the Dacia Jogger came out last year. Finally, the gas mileage is the same as that of a supermini, and the diesel version even approaches the gas mileage if city cars (the smallest category of cars). In conclusion, the Duster is one of the most most sane car buying decisions you'd ever make. Trust me, I spent close to 5 years looking for the perfect car, and frankly, nothing like the Duster ever came close. Big family car with lots of space, but also versatile in city, on highway, and off-road. Very economical (4.7l/100 km, or 50mpg US, or 60 mpg UK), cheap very cheap to buy, reliable - very reliable - surveys show its up there with the Lexus in terms of reliability (crazy I know). Cheap to maintain - parts and work done in car is as much as small Renault cars. The list can go on. There are two types of cars for me - Duster and all the rest.

    Duster Extreme 2022 Non compratela!!! Se volete stare senza aria condizionata in estate è la macchina ideale. Ritirata il 22 giugno...dopo 12 luglio richiesta assistenza dopo neanche 488km compressore aria condizionata si è rotto. Nella stessa officina altro Duster con stesso problema.. Ovviamente ricambio non arriva per le vacanze... macchina sostitutiva non prevista per Dacia Assistenza.

    Ho comprato una nuova una Dacia Duster Extreme, e subito i problemi:
    Clacson che non funzionava, rumori anomali dal cruscotto e dalla ventilazione clima, rumori scricchiolii dal tetto, tremori e vibrazioni in frenata, equilibratura ruote totalmente sballata e rifatta a mie spese, assorbimento pessimo su sconnesso e macchina molto rumorosa, confort pessimo, cambio che sembra quelle di un camion... praticamente un bidone di latta su 4 ruote.
    Totalmente deluso dell'acquisto e dell'assistenza Dacia che ancora non mi ha risolto quasi nessuno dei problemi sopra menzionati!!!!
    E' come guidare una macchina che già ha 100.000 km sulle spalle,
    DELUSIONE TOTALE
