    Back again with another F1 Hotlap! Going to be using the two championship rival's cars for the last 2 tracks of this season so we're onboard with my fellow Englishman Lewis Hamilton to celebrate his fantastic weekend in Saudi Arabia! Lewis managed to pull off a fantastic win under the lights to bring himself level on points with Max Verstappen going into the final race at Abu Dhabi, despite the race being far from smooth sailing! 😂 What did you think of Lewis' performances these past few races? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Make sure you check this mod out and give it a run for yourself, and subscribe for more F1 content! :D

    Hi mate. Listen, can i ask you something about the name and team widget? How did you manage to make it work adding the name of the driver, the logo of the team and the bar colour? (If It is the mod of Ákos fodi). Could you be able to give me some advice about it?

    • @Timonike
      @Timonike  2 года назад

      Hey! The Name & Team widget doesn't actually work in game as far as I'm aware and so I just edit it over my recording afterwards! You can probably get it working in a static format using SimHUB but for my use-case it makes more sense for me to add it afterwards!
      The one I use isn't included with the larger AkosFodi F1 widgets, it's just a set of images that can be used however I want them to be so unfortunately I can't help with the active/animated AkosFodi mods! You're best bet is to join their discord server and grab some support from there!
      Sorry! Hope this helps you either way! 😁

    Could you tell me how to install the helmet mod? Because I have downloaded it but I don't know how to install it.

    • @Timonike
      @Timonike  Год назад

      Hello mate! Here's a link to a video by the mod author that teaches you how to install helmets using this mod: ruclips.net/video/AQAZ1dQwvSE/видео.html
      As for the helmet itself, Fongu's helmets are made primarily for Grand Prix 4, but he uses the helmet templates of jvinu2000 which means they're also compatible with the ACSPRH mod for Assetto Corsa!
      In order to convert the .tex file back into the .dds format, you need to use Slimtex (part of Zaz Tools for GP4) in order to extract the textures and save them in the .dds format. Once you've done this, you need to use software such as GIMP in order to remove the alpha layer of transparency and show the full texture, so Assetto Corsa can correctly display the texture using the ACSPRH Mod. After that, you need to flip the texture vertically as it will be upside down! You then need to right-click on the main layer & select "New from visible". Once you've done that, export the file in the .dds format.
      Once you've done that, you need to rename the file to "Helmet_2019.dds" in your desired skin folder in order to see the helmet in game using the ACSPRH Mod , just as you normally would!
      Hopefully this helps! :)

    Hi Timonike,
    i've all tried ways to convert helmet to dds, but i've been going crazy for two days trying to do it! They all give me error! Can you advice me something?

    • @Timonike
      @Timonike  Год назад

      Hey! Thanks for your comment! Sorry to hear you're having trouble!
      Here's a quick text tutorial to hopefully help you out! First download the helmet in which you want to convert and extract it from the zip to your computer. Then download "Zaz Tools 1.26" from here: bit.ly/3BcYp34 Install it, but untick the prompt at the end of the installation that says "Launch Updater".
      Once you've installed it, find your desired helmet's ".tex" file > right click it > "open with" > "look for another app on this pc" > then navigate to the Zaz GP4 Tools folder in Windows. (It should be at this address: C:\Program Files (x86)\ZaZ GP4 Tools) Once in this folder, select "Slimtex" and the file should open.
      In Slimtex, hit "Save" and then in the windows explorer file name section add ".dds" to the end of the file name and hit save. This should save the texture as a .dds file.
      Once you've done this, you need to use software such as GIMP in order to remove the alpha layer of transparency and show the full texture, so Assetto Corsa can correctly display the texture using the ACSPRH Mod. Once opened, on the right hand side click the "Channels" tab and click the eye logo next to the "Alpha" channel to reveal the full texture. After that, you need to flip the texture vertically as it will be upside down! (Image>Transform>Flip Vertically) You then need to go back to the "Layer" tab on the right > right-click on the main layer & select "New from visible". This is critical to be able to export the full texture! Once you've done that, export the file in the .dds format. (File>Export As>Add .dds to the end of the file name)
      Once you've done that, you need to rename the file to "Helmet_2019.dds" in your desired skin folder in order to see the helmet in game using the ACSPRH Mod , just as you normally would! Don't forget to add the correct ext_config.ini file for the model you're using!
      Hopefully this helps! :)
