Here is part 2 of the video tour with lots more reef tanks and live coral displays ruclips.net/video/G1uSE5oZaAA/видео.html
I’ve watched this about 4 times all the way through. See something new each time. Jake was so proud to show off his studio to his good friend. It gives a great perspective of the whole studio and how it worked. Jake’s passion is missed. He had so much more to tell and give.
We all ALSO miss Mark too (and that couch & guitar). Hope you are doing well brother. Your talks re-invigorated my passion to be a reef keeper. Loved to listen to the chemistry you both had to debate and pick apart different real-life scenarios
I love how two dudes just sit and can talk about their reef equipment, corals, and experiences
62minutes well spent!
As much as I don't like lens filters, I feel like this tour could have benefitted with the use of one in certain areas 👍
Turn on the blue light protection on your phone for a blue light filter.
Studio tour with Jake and Mark? AWESOME! 🤩
Looking forward to part 2! The goni/worm tank is absolutely amazing.
I really like the layout too, it's all about enjoying the animals rather than making everything into a display where we probably sacrifice that for the sake of a "natural" looking tank.
Yay!! Loved this tour.
Was so satisfying starting out my Sunday morning together with you both, really felt like we are there walking around with you soaking up all the best Reefing vibes .
What an inspiring space.
He's right, I didn't realize how tall you are lol. Kudos to the camera man btw, enjoyed how it was recorded. Can't wait for part 2.
I requested this, much appreciated Mr.Adams thanks, I'm digging that sofa + the plants look great.... I'd say the weeping willow is my favorite.
It is crazy how far the studio has come. Can't wait to see what the future brings.
Fascinating, loved it. 👍🏴
Looking 👀forward to part 2 👍
Thanks for the walk around your place Jake! Everything looks so clean and sharp in there, well done 👍
Gotta agree that PPE zoa's are absolutely amazing, nice tour so far!
Loving the studio tour so far 🤩
Dude ! Awesome collection ! Brings back many memories !
I'm 60, I've kept fish off and on, most of my life ! Cutting Edge 👍
Im a freshwater hobbyist with absolutely no chance of going salt and i still love these videos.
I just started saltwater and it definitely is way different than freshwater tanks. These videos have been an inspiration!
RIP Jake! 🕊️
So sad he never got to see the studio come to fruition.
Great video! Love how you can point at any coral and Jake can tell you exactly what it is, when and where he collected it from and everything about it since hes had it! 🙌
The different parts of history that you have from the hobby on your shelf are really cool. I have an old book about marine fish that’s targeted towards earlier hobbyist probably in the 80’s and it’s more fascinating to me to read that than to look at fish online because of the history aspect. It’s like a time capsule for the hobby. That is quite a collection and people who have a real passion for the hobby will always appreciate that side. Favorite thing at the studio is definitely the 15 year old tang ;)
Brilliant looking forward to seeing part two favourite coral Acropora humilis
This vid goes right up there with the diving videos! Also that Cade tank is gorgeous!
Amazing, really enjoyed this 👍
Epic. Can't wait for episode 2!
I was wondering about that closed loop flow tank. Glad to get an update!
I lol at the VisiJet, I remember thinking it was the leading edge of power heads. That spring clearly gave a good indication of flow rate!
Looking forward to part 2 :)
Can't wait till chapter 2!!
Awesome Jake and Mark that mush rockkkkkk
Wow 🤩 Looking forward to experiencing the studio in person.
I just love the grow out lagoon tank of full size acropora. All my acros are huge but just not enough room to allow them to grow out to their full potential without touching one another. Also love the goniopora collection. Maybe because I'm just a collector of all things.
Awesome video!
absolutely in love with the longnouse black tang!
Nice 👍🏻 just got done with a episode of Reef Therapy. You guys are awesome! I hope you guys are still planning to collaborate on that nano tank.
The Maxi Jet packaging brings it allllll baaaaaackkkkk to me
Great video. I love seeing all the things I can't afford to do lol.
Love the Proclear tank I have a Proclear 60👍
I have the original discontinued coral vote container no box though. Still has the greenish blue liquid in it.
Awesome vid! It’s great to see some classic pieces. That tutuilensis is super cool. Tubipora musica are great, do new reefers even know about them? Sarcophyton elegans was the coral to have in the 90’s and they loved halides. Mark, turn your Kessil’s to more white during peak hours and yours might turn back to yellow? Love all the clams and I can’t wait for the second half.
I'm going to dig up some ancient aquarium gear from my dad and send them to Jake. lol
yes please!
@@ReefBuildersVideo you got it! Let me know if the po box address is good enough for me to send 📦
33:36 Fish: "oh, snap"
Man wish I knew were you got those awesome anemone baskets lol. I really enjoy all your videos, especially the tank tour videos.
The black ones with odd sized wholes, they possibly look like 3D printed baskets.
perfect :)
Greetings from germany
I remember using Marc Weiss coral vital!
just wondering how you go about collecting your own corals. would love to hear more about that. I've been locing the podcast and channel. I just recently started my first reek tank so this has been an awesome help!
Where’s the devil clam! And can u please send me some coralline???
38:24 talking about the neon green sinularia! I run a maintenance company and I have many tanks with that coral . Some are ultra green some go purple and pinkish and others blue green. I also have no idea and all are from same colony.
Awesome video! I have a question. I'm wanting to buy a Red Sea Nano aquarium but can I use plexiglass instead of glass to create a cover?
Awesome video part one and two. Jake where do you purchase your accurasea salt from. I would you purchase in bulk if I can find it that way for my 400 gallon setup. Thanks in advance.
Had to poke the hydrometer needle with a toothpick to release micro bubbles.. :)
My fav.1st pink stylophora, 2nd a.aculeus (is a classic) , 3rd any of the torts. A.humilis were cool and the snake polyps. The stupidest corals are any of the zoas! Btw you need a bubble tip anemone tank. A normal (you need the flow bro) splitting of a bta is under 48 hrs. You are starving it, just cut it and feed it. 100% joyful video, thank you 🍻
Didn’t see the Conspic and Blulines from Poma??
Do you still have them?
Sarebbe un grande sogno poter lavorare con voi.
Complimenti
Hello Jake!
Could you tell me where I can find this flow meter?
I have tried a couple on my DI/RO system but booth didn't really work well once it has been
made for industrial use which only works well on heavy flow systems.
Thank you! ;)
Double wall polycarbonate. Is what the lid is made of.
Thanks for the video Jake! Great info. Do you have a link for those frag tanks? Or where can I get one? If you ever need to sell one let me know!! Thanks again!!
Jake where did you get that in-line flow meter for the Rodi line
Id like to see a video of all of your Retro reef gear! I use to have a Skillter Filter. It was a HOB filter with a skimmer inside.
Is Mark in the hobby? MarIne Biologist? Astronaut? Sorry, just trying to get context 👍

International triple agent spy
Can you make an update video on the coral flats?
What's your favorite coral at our Studio?
the corals are great but I want to marry the tinkeri butterfly
I'd pick a combination of corals from coralflat #3. Perhaps a piece of pink A. hyazinthus (table) , some of that blue A. tortuosa (Stag) and some of that neon green pocilopora (bushy). Both color and shape makes for the wombo combo! Especially under the ice-blue light shown in the video
That pink stylo was really cool!
All of them corals are just beautiful
Yaaaay for still having Derek’s Indecision!
We no longer have any so I hope yours flourishes and gets shared forevermore
We need a video of Marks tank!
Try 80% blue and 100% white on the reefleds, you will like it.
Need dat blue
Do you have a sump on the last frag tank
Jake, with so many tanks do you ever get multiple tank fatigue? Would be interesting to see you talk about why or why not.
Yes I do, I've always said that the more tanks you have, the less you can enjoy each one. However over time my heart grows to love each of them but not nearly as much as if I only had two or three
Great video! But I like how you are willing to admit things that you’ve struggled with and lost due to various issues. Unlike some other you tubers that hide their faults and put it out like they are the best having no problems at all when we all know it’s not true.
Part two please
I still have a reeflink running my tanks equipment.
So when can I visit? Looks like fun.
Made it through😁👌🏿 always wondered, how do you keep this place running. Do you sell frags?🤔
no frag sales but dang I need to get rid of a bunch of extra coral
Awesome tour! Would love to drop by sometime. I live minutes away.
How do you acclimatise your mollies to salt water? is there a guide online somewhere? I guess you just change salinity ever so slowly (weeks/months?) from fresh water to salt water35ppm?
The "Greenhouse siding is called Coroplast and is available at Home Depot.
@Jake please let us know when / if ypu Frag and Sell any Coral you have .
Please and Ty. Great Vid . Great Tanks .
What is the fish with the black line at 14:04 to the left of his hand
Rest easy jake
Wow where can I buy the immortal tort from?
Crezi busines!
weird your bubbles like the low light. my bubble has been with me 20 + years and lights higher light
Do snake polys ever grow? I've had 2 for almost 3 years and they just don't seem to do anything.
they seem to reproduce very slowly but they certainly appreciate being fed (at night with the polyps out)
god tier anems
I had the same black velvety algae for a long time. After adding a blue tuxedo urchin it slowly disappeared.
omg, what is that orange and blue dwarf angel you have in that tank? its gorgeous!!!!!! Is that a flameback??
Question for you jake on your accropora tanks do you like to run blue or white of both
both, there's still a lot of blue light but it's balanced with the white and accessory LEDs
Imagine if part 2 is like 12 hours haha
I have a spot for your bubble corals! I'll even pay shipping! :)
How is he exporting nutrients with just a skimmer? Great video!
Bonjour, superbe vidéo pour vous quel marque d''eclairage pour des SPS et le top merci.
Hello, great video for you which brand of lighting for SPS and the top thank you.
What happened to the rotating plant😁
why happened to the the conspic angel and tiger?
Did I hear you say “an upcoming frag show”? Where and when’s?
Is it in CO?
Did you find out about this frag show?
@@briantorres492 nope. Must be a super top secret big dogs only swap. Maybe some day, we’ll have our names on the guest list and not get stopped by the guy with the velvet rope!
Damn! I heard him say frag show and got exited. I’ve only been in the hobby this year so a frag show would be dope.
Odd my red sea light does straight white. Just change out from the preset to your own setting
Your Anemone is not splitting due to constricted space. It is not your anemone's fault, in a larger area it would have split within less than a day. I've had that happen to me until I realized that I'm keeping it in too small of a space for it to stretch out enough. I am sure it either split by now. However, in the future, it's better to let them roam a bit when they're splitting in a frag tank. they don't go too far after a split so easy to catch.
It's called qualex greenhouse siding
Who makes the digital flow meter that you have in your water station?

@@ReefBuildersVideo thanks your great!
awesome video :) was really realxing and i felt like i was there at the roomtour too :D - do you have a personal opinion about bubbletip anemones and their tentacle form?
there's a clownfish that sometimes sneaks into the basket with the bubbletip and the nem loses its bubbles almost as soon as the clownfish starts hosting in it. But if its without the clownfish for a couple days the bubbles return.
@@ReefBuildersVideo ok this is a complete new theory for me but very interesting :)
@@senegalus this has been observed in BTAs before but it's not a hard and fast rule - sometimes they are bubbly sometimes they are stringy, with or without clownfish, and they certainly remain bubble tipped in the nature with clownfish hosting them
Great content, greetings from Germany.
@35:00 he clearly wanted to knock the lighting and it was cut out.
Didn’t see the Conspic and Bluepines from Poma???
Thanks
For the lib it how are they doing? I got a Conspic about a month ago from Matt and was curious
Thanks
I'm happy my Chicano brothers and sisters in California support my salt and brand. Go hoodstocks podcast. #54
I'm in love.....
What was that salt mix again… thx
AccuraSea 1
Where is part two -_-
just posted
Jake how come you don’t start your own company selling corals you already have a big following with your channel
there's enough people doing and I just don't feel good about selling my corals that I've taken a long time to grow out
@@ReefBuildersVideo makes sense plus I’m sure you already have your hands really full with all those tanks
@@ReefBuildersVideo I was wondering where you got those grow out tanks there probably 12” to 16” tall by 4’ wide 6’ long . I also noticed you don’t have any neptune products
