  • How to make a double hook bottom rig is simple if you know how to tie a dropper loop. I show how to make a bottom fishing rig (aka dropper loop rig) using a quick way to tie the dropper loop knot. Once you master the dropper loop and the surgeon's knot, you will know how to make a bottom rig for any type of fishing.

Same way I make mine and save $$ doing it. Easy to take hooks off to stay safe on the ride home.

Thanks! So far, so good. Our neighbor who remained in place texted that there was nothing he could see yesterday but needed to wait until the rain stopped.

great video and exactly the rig setup i was looking for to put on a power bait minnow,,problem is i was not sure how to put the minnow on so that it stays right side up (ie eyes and fish right side up level and hook on the bottom of minnow) when i start twitching or reeling it in or maybe it may go either direction on me? only thing i changed was putting a barrel swivel to connect to the main line instead of a surgeon loop,i like things tight as possible and for the weight i used a loop knot but you can use palomar or surgeon like you have ,i think both are the same if memory serves right ,,tested it in the bath tub and seems ok i guess,,thanks again

So how would you take hooks off? Or do you take the entire rig off?

The hooks can come off the same way they go one. I remove the entire rig easily since I attach it to my main line using a Mustad FasTach.
