- In this video, I'll be listing 10 adventurous things to do in Lake Tahoe in the summer. While it is true that most of the activities mentioned on this list are doable year-round, some of them are more accessible and just more enjoyable during Tahoe's summer months.
All activities listed in this video are things that I have done personally while living in Lake Tahoe. I know I left a few things off this list, so feel free to share what I missed in the comments!

We will be there in a couple of weeks. These ideas will be great for my son and his girlfriend. My wife and I are more tuned to just sitting on the beach with our cocktails lol! ⛱🍹😎

I used to go to burn camp there every August. Would always fly me and another burn survivor in a Cessna. If you can afford the glider I say do it! View is killer. But the people were always nice and all gave us free access to vikingshlom, Squaw valley, the Ebrite Family would give us access to ebrites beach. And of course my most favorite place and one I still call my second home (haven’t been there in years) Camp Concord! My home away from home. lol
the glider is definitely on the pricey side but yes it's nice to do just once!!!!

I just came back and I miss it there! Do you get to see bears very often? We were camping and saw them! We stayed on the south side...
I don’t see them that often surprisingly I wish I saw them more! I’ve probably seen 3 or 4 bears since living here …

Hi Gabriella! Great video! So I have been to LT in July-Aug and think it’s def one of the most beautiful places on earth. Coming from Ohio I’m wondering about the winters. I know there is quite a bit more sun than Ohio so I’m guessing the winters are not the soul crushing kind even though there’s lots of snow and it gets cold at night. Are you able to thrive in the winters out there or has it been challenging for you to stay engaged and not feel too isolated?
Winters are actually beautiful here as in the snow created a winter wonderland feel, definitely not soul crushing, although it can be inconvenient in terms of the shoveling and depends of how well they plow your road as well. It does get cold at night, but during the day its pretty mild like 40s-50s, Tahoe can be isolating, and frankly i've met most of my friends here on instagram which was new for me.
We’re staying at Harvey’s in August. Do you think State Line Park is a nearby short, easier hike to take? I really want to hike to a waterfall. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people who will be able to answer my questions. Your video is beautifully done. I currently live in Tennessee and previously lived in Florida. In the past few years I have fallen in love with the western US. We were in Grand Teton last month because Yellowstone flooded. I am not complaining! Our Country is absolutely gorgeous! I’m also very curious about the wildlife at Lake Tahoe. Thanks for sharing. ❤️

I am planning to go over and stay about two days in lake Tahoe but I am worried about the road conditions...
How's the road condition during the winter time? (I actually never been to Northern California)
Hey Jay, thanks for watching the videos! Winter is very unpredictable in terms of snow..but I will say they are good about plowing the roads during and right after a snow storm...i would just keep an eye out for the week you are coming...last year wasn't too bad, with the exception of a couple of blizzards

Any suggestions for scuba diving and white water rafting?
I dont know much about scuba diving but i believe you can white water raft on the truckee river: gowhitewater.com/. also the Yuba river and American river near Colfax offer white water rafting
I enjoy your Tahoe vids. A suggestion, you should invest in the gear that can let you record in higher res. than 1080. It's getting a bit dated and would really make your videos pop.
I got a new camera a couple weeks ago! Still learning it, and I haven't shot in 4k yet, but I plan on it!

Will be my first time and LT. Is there a location where we can stay and have a beach and hiking trails and not drive to much to get to them? We only have 2 days to explore LT which is sad
I think the prettiest beaches are on the east shore and you probabaly will have to drive to them...the closest to that area is incline village...but in general you will more then likely have to drive a short distance to most beaches and trails

You can always take the South Lake Tahoe Airporter ....it’s a shuttle that goes from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe ...and rent a car in s. Lake Tahoe ....idk if that would be cheaper 🤷♀️

Paul Hamilton does not fly a 'hang glider' It is an Ultralite Trike...in the light sport category of aircraft. You cannot fly this thing without a sport pilot certificate or a private pilot certificate.
