- This video is quite different than most of our other videos. Our trip to Lake Tahoe had several goof-ups that we wished we hadn't made. So, in addition to things to do at Lake Tahoe ✨, we have shared things you should NOT do on your Tahoe trip❗️

We spent the following night at an Airbnb in South Lake Tahoe, but we wouldn't recommend it because of its issues.

How did it go? Traveling with same age group kids
@@peoplegetready1021 My husband, their dad, passed away in summer 2021, and the boys weren't yet ready for a vacation in 2022. It wasn't about Lake Tahoe, but about their grief. They barely left our condo. This summer, they did a little better with our short trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. We just hung at the lake and went kayaking. Another small step in our grief journey.
I were at sand harbor today and it was amazing there is nice cliff jumping places too

Ive been going to the lake Tahoe for the past 45 yrs. Each time I go it feels like the first time !! Where else can you combine the Caribbean Hawaii and Vegas. Nothing like clean Alpine freshwater. Fun video!

With a rental you’re on your own. But with a guided tour, you’ll have to follow a guide.

This is one of the best videos on visiting Lake Tahoe. We're planning to go in two weeks, any tips on lodging? North or south part of the lake, which hotel/airbnb would you recommend?
Reading that makes our day! Thank you. Since our trip was part of a longer road trip, we stayed in Carson City the night before at an Airbnb. We did not have a pleasant experience with our 2nd Airbnb near the south lake so skipped including that. I would recommend to find a place in the north. Chances are stays there would be generally cheaper and more available compared to the busy south.
@@MadOverExploring I've booked an Airbnb on the South side of the lake already. It had great reviews and it's secluded from the busy area. Hopefully it'll be good. Thanks for the suggestion :)

You fuys did a great job covering lake thaoe. One thing i would add is to make sure to do the gondola ride in heavenly village for beautiful views of the lake and some fun and easy hiking

I didn't discover Sand Harbor until my last day there. If I ever go back, I'm spending ALL day EVERY day at Sand Harbor.

Do you need to get everywhere super early even on weekdays ?
Probably not but if it's a weekday lead g up to a long weekend in the summer, I would not take a chance.
how are the roads ? are they narrow ? winding? steep? guarded?
Hello! Most of the loop around the lake is formed by Highways 28, 50, and 89. All of them are well-marked, and we didn't have any issues driving. The only windy parts we remember distinctly are near the Emerald Bay State Park, but nothing super-sketchy. Drive at the speed limit, enjoy the views, and you'll be fine! 😃

We book at an Airbnb for one night in Carson city and South of Lake Tahoe the following night.
Also a thing not to do , no peeing in the pool.
