DCS now supports OpenXR natively Depending on which headset you have select the openXR runtime and DCS will work without any third party apps. Currently we are working on a crash if motion reprojection is being forced on. If you have reprojection on auto or off you will not see the crash. This from ED FYI...
This means that we should uninstall open composite and open xr software or that we still need this software to run in background? I already use openxr and open composite and I don't want uninstall and tweeky around on setting to try if dcs is running without steam vr. Thank you for your time and answer 😊
Holy Fk. There sure is a ton of downloads and BS just to use VR in DCS. I too have the HP Reverb G2 but am in the middle of eye surgery (lens implants) so I haven't been able to use my VR yet but I hope to within the next 2 weeks. I didn't realize I had to spend a week downloading, installing and tweaking software just to use VR in DCS. This is my NIGHTMARE.
@@T-Tailer there's a setting for sunglasses mode. You should try it. Makes things a bit darker and some people seem to really enjoy the look with the G2. My only G2 complaint would be the washed pit greens.
i all ready have open xr working with DCS (last 6 months i think) does anyone know if i will be better doing it this way or will it not make any difference. TIA

could you help me, its going to be a wile to save up, but what pc Parts should i get to up grade to run vr. i will be getting a brand new pc as mine is very old ty
other people might disagree however 3070 or higher 32 gb DDr4 or 5 (min) for dcs only intel like last gen i7 is fine thank me later (unless vulkin and multithreading come out) power supply 750 (min) I would get ether a 2tb m.2 drive or two 1 tb drives.

This is now the 20th (or so) Video that I watch in a search for an up to date setup guide only to find out that this guide too is outdated, just like all the other guides. Please people, remove your outdated junk from the Internet so that other people don't have to wade through it.

A render scale of 50% in OpenXR Tools can never be the native resolution of the Reverb G2, 100% will be correct. Don't forget the barrel distortion.

Same result here. DCS wouldn't open until I reset to Steam in OpenComposite. Followed steps to the letter but no joy.
