There's more to Dragon Ball than just Krillin's height. What else missed the mark?
Always love myself some kirllin man!😊😊😊
That fact that DBS manga brought the Cell Jr. back.
Power level? I guess they can control their power it’s just funny since characters have been blowing up planets since the beginning it’s just small potatoes to them
Gods Forms in general 🤔
Maybe bulla wished for Vegeta to be taller when she wished to be younger
Krillin's height decreases with his relevance in the franchise
By the time a reboot version of GT happens, he will be the size of a DUCK

With the Raditz shot, I think it can be argued that its kinda forced perspective to make Raditz look much more intimidating, though the Super stuff; yeah they just shrinking the baldy for no reason.
Honestly I'd argue no, because he's near Gohan's height in Frieza saga
@@AbelDuviant raditz was the introduction to z so they would have to start z off with intimidating foes so making krillin shorter was 9.9/10 to make raditz look more intimidating and to give the viewers that thrill.
@@AbelDuviant they also did it with other foes in dbz like in the cooler movie or when they fought broly.
Actually raditz is canonically 6'3 while goku is 5'9
Know I'm picturing a parody where radditz hits krillin and is about to grab Gohan but the director shouts cut.
And a camera guy altering angles as they reset the scene.
Krilldogs cueball weighs too much. Its compressing his spine with age
Here's my head canon for why the Son family house moves between 3 locations:
A compromise between living in both Chichi and Gokus home areas as well as a pragmatic means of keeping Sayens fed. Goku eats so much meat he'd probably overhunt a local forest into extinction if he didn't give it a break periodically even granted some of these forest have dinosaurs with absurd amounts of meat to feed them with. So they migrate between the Ox Kings home area on the plateau and Grandpa Gohans area at the base of the mountain and a rural farm area when during planting season and harvest time Goku works the land for both vegetables for the family and to produce an income.
This would also let Goku have some very varied training routines throughout the year as he does typical turtle hermit like draining as he finds ways to make farm chores into a martial art exercise and more intense training deep in the woods away from others and perhaps meditative ki training when they go to the plateau.
I wouoldn't be surprised of this either.. since we know Goku's job in Super is "FARMER" and guess what most farmers do?
Not recultivate the same land over and over and over.. cause doing so will make it BARREN. You rotate it. 1 year of crops, 1 year of hay, 1 year of nothing but cattle on it and then rotating back out. (though this is a gross exarutation, mostly it's several years in between)
But considering how Goku can easily eat and farm at a fast pace? You would need to move locations to give the land a break!
But yea this is a good theory too. The moving of Goku's house makes sense since he can eat the mountain dry if left in 1 spot. Especially with the fishing and farming.
Chichi is a princess. She is rich AF. Naturally can afford many houses
@@MrRichiardityaNo need for multiple houses. Capsule corp houses are portable.

@@Ramsey276one Dragon 🐉 Ball Farming Simulator lol. That might be the coolest Farming Sim ever. And mix it with The Sims as you periodically make Gohan go to college and date and get good grades and stuff lol.
4:43 I think in regards to Goten and Trunks being disqualified it's because they more because they registered as a single fighter 'Mighty Mask' when in fact it was a two separate people in a single 'trench coat' situation.
Yeah, it was more a case of a big rule being broken as how it applies to more people in the future, than it just being they were kids in the adult matches. It doesn't invalidate the fact they were too young, more that two people acting as one supersedes the need to bring up that they were kids.
If krillin height increased by 1 inch whenever he got humiliated at fight then by the end of z krillin would be the tallest character
I’m more pissed they got rid of his muscles. He was jacked back in Z

No, the cooldown for Fusion dance was still in the Broly movie. It is just that yeah things were quick on our end but for them the whole process took an hour and half to finish. Meaning Frieza was being pummeled by Broly for over an hour.
There were two failed fusions attempts, which would mean Frieza would have been fighting Broly for over 3 straight hours. Which quite honestly strains credulity compared to the Tournament of Power, which was only 48 minutes, during which Frieza took frequent breaks, and yet was still too tired to maintain his golden form by the end.
@@EmeralBookwise 2 hours if we count for teaching Vegeta the fusion dance.
@@EmeralBookwise It would only be an hour since after the first fail Piccolo says "Try it again in thirty minutes." Though to be fair I watched the Dub and not the original so that might be an inconsistency.
@@goldliger1976: The fusion is what lasts 30-minutes, but at least according to DBZ, also requires an additional 60-minute cool down in between attempts. In DBS, however, they seem to have forgotten the cool down as Picolo only refers to the 30-minute fusion limit with each failed attempt.
@@EmeralBookwise In the fusion reborn movie did the same. Goku and Vegeta failed the first fusion. Had to endure 30 minutes of that failed fusion then they split and then immediately after running from Janemba they started again. The whole "wait 30 minutes to try again" was so that they had to wait for the fusion timer to end before trying again as they were stuck as Veku.
For how Vegeta got SSG, my theory is that the ritual provides a means for a Saiyan to access God Ki, so it's possible he asked Whis/Beerus for help accessing it, and they taught him an alternative approach to channel God Ki.
Would fit his character development to have to swallow his pride to ask for help, and explain why he's never told anyone how he did it. He may have literally had to kneel and beg Beerus, and no way is he telling Goku he did that.
1:44 I think i can understand this, its about the Threat of Raditz (make 1 character look smaller )
I like this theory, though it would be sad if it was the writers intention, given the viewer wouldn't directly experience that character development. Less narrative payoff and all, y'know?
I can also see Beerus/Whis actually agreeing to his request, because two strong opponents training together will ascend way higher in strength and skill than one fighter could alone, even if that one fighter was training under Whis. So helping Vegeta keep up with Goku after he was essentially given a free level up would be a long term benefit.
Considering the entertainment value, Whis would never keep that a secret from Goku, he'd make sure Vegeta was nearby to hear it
Vegeta has also always been a fighting genius. After his first visit to earth, he mimicked the ability sense ki without any formal training. It's entirely possible that much like how Goku was able to integrate some of SSG's power into his base form while fighting Berus, Vegeta was likewise able to observe and emulate that power... although probably still needing training with Whis to refine it.
God ki can be transferred, we see it when goku and vegeta are training and their fists clashed, and when trunks gained god ki with his ssj rage form
I would say the reason Krillin’s height is inconsistent is because of the animation style!
*A n I m a t I o n* style !!!!!!
🤓🤓🤓 _😒_ 🤨 😒
*Art Style
Which just looks sterile and with saturated colors. Everyone looks too skinny, which is probably due to being easier to animate and draw.

Since db is currently decreasing in quality so are the characters we used to love as well as their heights and muscles I'm looking at you boulders for shoulders Tien

YAY! More of Masako's favorite underdog! Always love your krillin videos man!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I mean the heights have been inconsistent a lot. I tend to just go with the official heights from one of the guidebooks since it's less of a headache.
The size disparities are easy to explain, throughout DB, DBZ and DBS Toei has constantly switched up animators and producers for different episodes or even just scenes. Its hard to stay on model when youre not consistently working on the same animation.
Krillin just working on his shape changing ability.
"A small man can cast a very large shadow." - Varys from Game of Thrones
Yeah Kami can make exceptions to the one year cool down, we see it happen in dragon ball. But for some reason it's hardly ever used after that. It's one of the inconsistencies that's bothered me the most.
Well, by the next time we see the Dragon Balls being used Kami had fused with Piccolo and the Dragon Balls were now linked to Dende instead. It's possible being younger and less experienced, Dende isn't able to bypass the time limit.
@@EmeralBookwise I think Dende also got Shenron a second wish? I always assumed that meant he was more skilled. Though perhaps it was a trade for not being able to bypass the time limit, or it put more strain on Shenron meaning bypassing the time might hurt him. Either way, I wish the show had explanations for these sorts of things instead of leaving the fans to try to excuse the inconsistencies.
@@duilena or it was always 2 wishes 1 for everybody else and 1 for kami
@@TheVindicitiveI really like that idea, but I don't think that's what Kami says is happening
One cool thing I noticed about Vegeta and the change in his neck...it actually reflects a change in his whole body. Vegeta actually got a whole body change after the namek saga from his tireless training to get to Super saiyan. His neck beefed up along with the rest of his body. Its probably the first time he had really pushed his training in his life.
All of Krillin’s growth went somewhere else
His power level
I already knew when it was 9:AM! You don't disappoint Masako!
To you think Dragon Ball care about consistency, the series forgot about Lunch. Did she appear in Super?
What narrative purpose would she serve? Comic relief?
I guess you could say they "skipped Lunch"
clearly vegeta has been stealing krillin's height
18 doesn't seem to think so ;)
He's lengthy where it matters haha
Krillin isn't shrinking, you're nuts, everyone else is getting taller.
To be fair Piccolo did and so did Vegeta some how. I'd argue Goku got a bit taller too later on.
The shots of Raditz and the three at the tournament are Low Angle shots. The shot is deliberately making Raditz look big and imposing while making Krillin look smaller. The one at the tournament is also making all 3 look slightly taller than they are
As for the issues regarding the tournaments, rulings are typically made by the judges. In the cases of Manwolf and Piccolo they were there to fight specific people and disqualifying them wouldn’t have stopped them. Everyone had also fled when Piccolo destroyed the ring with only the announcer staying behind to make the final call himself. This same thing happened in the cell games as well. As for Goten and Trunks not only did they know the kids were strong, with the announcer even commenting to Goku about tournaments not being as exciting since they stopped coming, but the group even complained about the junior division during registration. They had also just come in 1st and 2nd in the junior division with people seeing how strong they were, so disqualifying them for fighting together is equally valid and prevents any further complaints
The commonly excepted fan explanation that I’ve seen for Trunk’s and Bulma’s hair colour is that it starts out purple changes to blue as they get older and then will eventually become a grey purple like Dr. Briefs. Bulma is 16 when she meets Goku and Trunks is 18/20 at the end of Z so close enough to be reasonable
The frustrating thing about ignoring the fusion cooldown in DBS:Brolly, was that it could have been very easily avoided if instead of Piccolo coaching them to fuse in some random field, he could have been at the Lookout, allowing them to use the time chamber for those scenes. With Cooldown the two failed fusion attempts would total to around 3 hours, but if that was inside the time chamber, only half a minute would pass outside.
now that i think about it, wasn't it Goku who taught Goten and Trunks the technique? wasn't Piccolo just helping with the demonstration?
@@AxtonTheObstagoon: Yes, there is that fact too, but ostensibly Piccolo is a better teacher than Goku or something.
Really, though Vegeta is also a fighting genius who has copied numerous techniques in the past without ever needing to be trained to use them, and he's seen Goten and Trunks perform the technique multiple times before, so it would have quite honestly been entirely reasonable to just skip that part movie all together.
@@EmeralBookwise honestly, i agree with you. Between Goku already knowing it long prior and Vegeta's quick learning, it shouldn't take more than maybe 2 or 3 attempts if not the first try. Also this is just my theory, but i think that a failed fusion might have a shorter cooldown if not no cooldown at all
@@AxtonTheObstagoon: Unfortunately, that theory would be very much disproven by Gotenks, who very explicitly had to wait the full thirty minutes plus cool down every time he failed a fusion in the Buu arc.
@@EmeralBookwise i guess i missed that part. I have no other possible explanations then
finally someone brings attention to this! thank you Masako!
I like to think that Bulma secretly wished Vegeta was taller and he didn't notice.
vegeta Got those white airforces to fix his height
Kid me used to think the reason why Vegeta and Nappa had different colours in space was because the planets they where on had a different atmosphere to that of Earth. A amber skies, blue sunsets on Mars type of thing...
I just thought it was Manga colors or something, I never read it so I just wasn't a fan and apparently I was wrong
@@flashtheshapeshafter I tried, several times, to get into the manga... But there are so many things about Dragon Ball that I liked that are filler... The manga just feels "less" to me...

Hey don't kinky shame the guy
on a side note - i really like female Saiyan designs in the Bardock movie and the DBS Broly movie, they look so unique compared to the main female characters. You can see them in the backgrounds from time to time, the one who laughed at Bardock in the bar scene is my favorite design.
Vegeta went from being the size of a toddler to being a normal sized manlet.
He used to be shorter than Bulma and is now sometimes taller than her or just a bit shorter.
Living on Earth with its lower gravity ain't compressing him as much
He’s still growing
@@elihil8985hes eating his fruits and veggies to be big and strong
I liked it when vegeta was shorter than bulma. It would give bulma a character arc from wanting to have a tall boyfriend (in og dragon ball) to end up marrying a short man. Also a good way to represent the short kings 😂
I like tho think the Vegeta growing taller thing as just a sayan thing where they don't necessarily stop growing as early as humans do but conditions can stunt it. Similar to their ability to get stronger by near death experiences, they stop growing when they stop needing to, for survival, or at a certain age. Short Vegeta was very strong for what he was fighting and his planet was destroyed, so his body adapted by just not gorwing anymore. Post joining the cast he was fighting and nearly dying a lot and eatin' good from that domestic living with a rich woman so he didn't need to be smoall for survival and was also getting near death boosts on the regular. So biggening began.
I guess Goku just grew faster than Vegeta bc of Goku is younger
Why is Krillin shrinking? Same reason Goten and Trunks didn't age properly; the people over at Toei's writing and design staff are incompetent.
Its not the writers job to make sure visuals are consistent, it'd be the animation director if anyone
Krillin constantly shrinking? Senzu bean-based diets tend to have some uncomfortable side effects - Just ask Yajirobe.
Piccolo did destory the tournament ring in og dragon ball but I'm pretty sure there was an outline of where the ring used to be and goku and piccolo still fought on it meaning everyone could tell neither of them fell put until goku headbutt piccolo.
What don’t they use the Balls’ cooldown more often? You could easily raise the stakes that way. Can you afford to lose a character for the next three months?
The Cell Jr. thing is actually one of the few I did already know about... That and the Trunk hair thing. Thing is, I would have been a lot less bothered by the Trunk hair situation if it didn't become a relevant plot point when Bulma specifically asked "what color is his hair?" and then immediately recognize him by hair color that she hadn't seen him with up until that point."
But, as you say, these things always happen. Even Tolkien had some plot holes. The difference is, Tolkien retconned his in the rather ingenious way of saying "well as I'm researching these ancient events I was reading from flawed accounts but here's the correct account" or "Bilbo actually lied about how he got the ring due to the ring's influence, but he felt guilty later so here's the accurate account".
i laughed at vegeta's "too tall" expression of yours in the thumbnail
The way I see it, Bulma and Trunks started with purple hair, and when they reached their late teens/adulthood, it began to turn blue.
Superhero Trunks would still be fairly young, so it's possible he still had some purple for the fusion.
Problem is Trunks was biologically 20 years old after coming out of the time chamber but still had purple hair, meanwhile Trunks in Super at 17 already has blue hair. Then you run into the problem of anime Bulma already having blue hair at 13
@@acecashman1237 "Future" Trunks was retconned into having blue hair at least since Gohan was alive, and in the Super manga his present counterpart has the same color since his first appearance (though Gotenks still had the Z colors). It's just the anime waiting too long to apply the change on the most recent iteration of the character that made it look awkward.
Bulma's earliest appearance with blue hair is arguably in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman though, where both her five and sixteen-year-old selves seem to have it (probably the first time the hair color retcon was applied to the manga, as it launched about two years prior).
If we're to make sense of the two hair colors existing, though, I'd say it changes due to the person's intellect (as Bra has it from an early age), though the plot hole of Bulma knowing her future son's had changed remains.
Lol, no.
8:58-9:00 yes they can actually. Kami did that when restoring the dragon's power after Mr. Popo glued the statue back together. He did it for Goku and friends for proving not everyone on the planet were selfish or evil (mainly talking about Goku)
For some stuff when it comes to design changes....like changing sizes, hairstyle, color, etc.....I pretty strongly chalk it up to "artistic license" and "Stylistic depiction"
I mean, a lot of anime, for comedic and dramatic effect, will do a sudden "off model" giant face, giant head, "huge sweatdrop" or "sudden flopping to the floor" type of stuff.
I find it hard to see stuff in anime as being literal visual depiction, I tend to think that a visual art based medium is always thinking of the frame and the shot in an artistic sense. It isn't concerned with being "off model"
Krillin looking so tiny compared to Raditz is for stylistic impact and effect, to showcase how threatening, imposing and dominating Raditz is. He is a metaphorical giant compared to Krillin...not necessarily a LITERAL giant.
Vegeta and Goku is the same way. He appears small and less imposing at first, hiding the fact that he is VERY imposing....but is at a "mental/character deficit" in many ways compared to Goku, never quite measuring up, a slight "Napoleon complex"
And then...as the story progresses and the two end up being basically equal in "metaphorical" stature...Vegeta is then drawn to appear almost equal in physical stature.
I have just always found anime to be a very stylistic, implied, impressionistic, art and aesthetic driven medium as opposed to a "physically and literally true" type of visual medium.
Things can change from shot-to-shot in order for each frame to be the most artistically and aesthetically satisfying and impactful, not so that there is 100% consistency of every physical detail between every single panel.
With Vegeta’s height I always thought I was cause of lower gravity of Earth plus capsule corp tech
Alot of the times is can be described as a mix of camera angle or drama.
The DBS thing with Trunks was "telling the difference between the two Trunks characters" which means they think fans were stupid. Though.....not too far off.
The space thing is was also in the the episode Boss Carrot.
You forgot to mention that Dende changes from teen to kid at the end fo Buu saga which is even repeated at the end of DB Kakarot video game.
The bulma/trucks purple hair/blue hair thing I would explain away by saying it's an age thing.
It'd be nice to have that clarified in canon.
Height is used by artists to depict strength and power. Him being so small next to Raditz could simply be to show Raditz being way stronger
The trunks hair debacle shows just how much they give a damn about him
4:10 As I recall Roshi tells the announcer that it's alright for Manwolf to use the knife. As for the bone, it falls on the fact of a prop the fighter is already carrying aroundd but not being actually a weapon nor used in an unsporty way (like stabbing an eye with the bone).
The previous tournament had a flying reptile that could produce from it's body a gum-like sustance and was completely legal. That thing could also fly back to the stage with its wings while Goku was at risk of disqualification for using the nimbus since it was a prop that could prevent Goku from being thrown out.
If Goku would take off his Gi belt and strangle an oponent with it, it would be legal, since he's using his own clothes as a resource adn was also something he was not hiding from the oponent.
You can smash the oponent to the ground and into the walls, so therefore extracting a tile or a block and throwing it would be legal since they are not using an acctual weapon and it's something the oponent can see that is around... this is also why Goku was not disqualified from stealing the announcer's glasses when he fought Tien
8:13 "Vegetaragain".
The picture from the Piccolo Jr arc could just be down to the angle we're seeing the characters from. That lower angle gives the illusion of him being taller. So I think his height there closely matches that picture you used of him fist bumping Goku in Super. And as someone else said, the Raditz one is an effect to make the new villain seem more intimidating.
I knew about the Cell Jrs but, admittedly, only because Kaiser talked about it in a DBZA creator commentary. 😅
Never knew of the cell Juniors until like 5-6 years after seeing the episode
9:37 i think they might have an in-world explanation for the inconsistencies with Fusion. Remember when Shin said the Potara should have been permanent? What if he wasn't dumb, and Goku and Vegeta figured out how to break the rules (the limits, you might say)? What if they just got better at Fusing and ki control than anyone ever had before? (I mean, the main theme of Dragonball is "breaking through any limits", is it not?)
I always thought of it as Shin just assumed that the permanent fusion apply to everyone, but was just wrong.
@@leress he was an apprentice when the first buu incident so it makes sense
In fairness that was Old Kai that said the fusion was permanent, not Shin. Both of their instances would be permanent so they didn't have much to go on.
I do subscribe to the idea that ki control made metamoran fusion better given Gogeta was the first fusion to undeniably win the fight without splitting. Plus it implies that Blue lasts longer for a dance fusion than potara.
It is also possible the hour difference is for successful fusions. IIRC Goten and Trunks didn't wait an hour after they became fat and old Gotenks to try again. What I would've liked is if Goku knew how to end the fusion early because while it is funny to think of Freeza getting beaten senseless for an hour that's still a really long time.
The longer Krillin is in the series, the shorter he gets. His power is making his body more compact to contain the strength. That has to be it!
I did not know about Krillin's height thing because I've never payed attention to it.
It honestly makes it harder to get drawn into because every time you're focused you notice a huge inconsistency that you'll always think about (Trunks' magic color changing hair)
His hair only changed once.
@atomicwizard7334 it still throws you off though. Especially in video games. Like all Trunks' have purple hair then you have blue hair Trunks.
I swear to god i thought Gohan and Krillin were the same age when I was a kid.
9:12
I still prefer the idea that they actually took hours to get it down, during which, Frieza is getting pasted by Broly whilst Whis watches.
i wonder if dragon ball story could get revamped, how would it turn out? mix of violence, brutality, better looking fights, more complex plot & deeper characters, it honestly has a lot more potential than ever, specially after seeing how other shounen anime brought their own twists to the table
I like that sometimes, Masako misses bloopers and just leaves them in.
"Super actually fixing something instead of breaking it"
A rare miracle
Finally, Krillin
6:39 that must be the location they chose for kakarot
I think the failed fusions in DBS Broly are there to imply frieza getting knocked around for over an hour while they try to fuse properly
I’m hoping it might have some kind of payoff. But highly unlikely
In Super Hero, when Piccolo is talking with Dende, Piccolo’s tongue constantly changes between purple and pink.
23 seconds ago. This is the earliest I've clicked a video. '-'
This was a good video.
Vegeta used the Dragon balls to grow a full 5 centimeters
This would make sense.
Here's a fun one!!
In the some of the Dragonball games Krillin's eyes are shown having white inside them which is not actually consistent to how he's supposed to be drawn 😅
I'm always glad to know that other people are aware of the 8 cell jr.s
It always drove me crazy trying to count what happened and thinking I made a mistake, but it turns out it was an animation mistake instead
The fusion dance resting period is only something that’s needed with a successful fusion. Goten and trunks never had to wait when their fusions failed. As seen before his fight with Fat Buu.
Actually the first inconsistency regarding the dragonballs happened in OG Dragonball between the end of pilaf saga and the beginning of the red ribbon saga only 8 months have passed; 4 months shy of a year.
Shenron knows better than to mess with Popo-Sama
Can you also cover piccolo’s height change??
And here I thought I was the only person that noticed Vegeta's getting taller, Krillin I kind of forgot about because he doesn't do as much in Super. I will forever hate blue hair trunks
Great video, I like learning about all the little differences I never noticed before. However... I always assumed "red hair Vegeta was do to the difference in star color of the orbiting planet he was on. Our sun is white, he had black hair with a white and blue suit, that sun was red, his color pallet looks different. I'm basing this off memory though, so idk. And I never counted the number of nightmares creatures cell gave birth to lol
One of my absolute favorite anime hight panel, is during the fight with Frieza in Z: Frieza standing, grabbing Goku by the shirt and the latter kneeling... And still (kneeling) being almost the same hight as standing Frieza
It would've been funny I think if the eight Cell Junior was meant to handle Mister Satan. He's about to charge in along with his 7 brothers until Cell stops him and tells him to have fun with the "Champ" and his camera crew. And, much like Kid Buu, Cell Junior would let Mister Satan give it his all while he in turn would just flip or gently tap him with his fingers to damage him. Tormenting the guy until Gohan finally goes SSJ2.
I was under de impression that the waiting time of the fusion was 30 min..
Definitely late to the party on this but could it be possible in terms of Goku's house for it to be able to be converted into a capsule home? Especially given Bulma's technology it MIGHT be possible?
8:44 tell me why i thought that was a vhs tape?? 😭😭
Krillin own count for shrinking
Hm, how very interesting, I didn’t know some these, I really appreciate that you pointed them out,
It seems like inconsistency is just a thing with Dragon Ball.
07:58 less an inconsitencie, more a dub change. In the original, it was only stated, that Frieza's Race can survive in space. There was nothing with breathing.
As for the Arena ddestroyed by Picollo, the shape or height of the arena was still noticeable, that's why Goku could tell to confirm he had beaten Picollo by ring out
When I watched the Super Broly movie I still remembered about the cool down though I had thought it was 30 minutes. Honestly, I loved the idea of Frieza just being beat up my Broly for a whole hour and that make me chuckle even more when watching the movie.
I remeber me and my brother knew about the cell jrs shortly after it aired. We realized it.
The saiyans pobs could have a mechanical atmosphere around it in case they have to fight in space oh a toxic planet
My headcanon is that the fusion timer in Broly still worked normally, so Goku and Vegeta had to wait around to fuse again. It makes Freeza getting his ass absolutely pulled inside out by Broly all the more funny and cathartic, really.
Krillin's compensating for something
Vegeta and Krillin really went from two inches apart, to two feet apart.
Never knew bout the Cell Jr thing
1:15 I thought that was perspective. Like Krillin is supposed to be closer to the metaphorical "camera" than Goku or Bulma so he looks taller than he does in a shot where they are equidistant.
4:25 I thought he said he didn't care if he was disqualified, he was going to knife Jackie Chun. Jackie was the one who cared about playing by the rules at that point. Also I think, like Pro Wrestling, they only cared if you used your gadgets to hurt someone during the Martial Arts part, or get back to the ring to avoid a ring out. Loads of people were using stuff to distract their opponents in the early ones.
5:30 Hair dye. LOTS of hair dye. :D Or whatever voluntary shapeshifting Sayins do to change the color of their hair already. :p
9:00 I'm pretty sure Kami explicitly said the cool down reset when he glued SHENRON back together in Dragon Ball, so I presume it works that way when Kami gets respawned too.
"... or maybe Shenron just knows better"
I understood that reference.
Freizas height tends to change as well, from being almost krillian size to being near goku.
The Ox King’s height varied throughout the series, when he first showed up he was a giant and the others were really small compared to him, later he is a little shorter but still taller than any human, and by the end he’s only a little taller than adult Goku and he remains that way for the rest of the series.
