    Thanks for the video dude. I ordered this exact setup. JBA HD UCA, coachbuilder 3" shackles and planning on running Icon Multi Rate Spring Kit.

      I’m genuinely thinking about buying the Boss 2.5 (run them at 2 inches) and JBA HD UCAs. I’m just gonna keep the rear stock… How’s the setup treating you man?

      @@texanerection492 so far really liking my setup. For the rear i ran the icon rtx leaf pack and RTX shock reservoirs and Coachbuilder shackles. Good shit! Plenty of room for future 37s

      @@scorpiosaturnring do *not* put the idea of 37s in my head man… I don’t need that shit😅. With the Boss 2.5, is there anything you wish you knew before hand, or is it plain and simple? Since I’m only doing 2 inches up front, I’m not sure if I need to do a front sway bar drop. I assume the Boss’s are thicker than stock, and so I’m not sure if anything will clash together. (Not planning on diff drop rn- not sure if that’ll effect sway bar). Any insight/advice?

      @@texanerection492 i have mine set at about 3" with a 1/4 shim. And i did do a diff drop. For my application the 2.5s without a reservoir are enough. Not planning on going fast. Crawling is my thing. 5.29s are getting installed in a could weeks.

    How are the Boss 2.5s treating you? I’m thinking about running them and the JBA HD UCAs to level out my truck (2 inches).

      They’ve been great, they ride great over all terrain. I’ve had zero issues, and I’m still happy with them. The JBA UCA’s are my favorite and those are what I’d go with.
      I think Toytec will be having a 15% off Black Friday or whatever sale soon

      @@MidMoTundra I called Toytec today asking about Black Friday/cyber Monday sales, and they said 15% off all Aluma coilovers through the whole month of November! They also said 10% off of something else, but I didn’t pay much attention because it’s not what I’m shopping for. Thanks for the reply man, I really appreciate it!

    What lift are you running in the rear? I wanted to do a 2 inch lift in the rear and run the bilstein 5100 but ive been reading that they are only good for 1 inch lifts.

    • @MidMoTundra
      @MidMoTundra  2 года назад +2

      I have 2.5” rear lift, Bilstein makes a 5100 that’s rated up to 2” and a 5100 rated up to 1”
      1” - Part Number: 24-321150
      Series: B8 5100

      @@MidMoTundra sweet ty I was looking at those toytec cuz the 6112 have been out of stock. How are they working out for you I might just drop the extra cash and get the toytec instead.

    • @MidMoTundra
      @MidMoTundra  2 года назад

      @@WCxColosus no problem! I love the Toytecs. The 6112’s I had were still fully functional after 5 years/50k miles, it just needs new top hats/bushings.
      I think the ride quality is better with the Toytec’s, but it’s hard to beat the 6112 for the price. If you can find them in stock

    How long did the 5160 last on you?

    • @MidMoTundra
      @MidMoTundra  2 года назад +1

      I took the 6112’s and 5160’s off at ~50k miles and roughly ~6 years after install. The 5160’s were dead compared to a new set I had ordered.
      The 6112’s were still good, had held charge. The rubber bushings on the top hats had failed. So with new top hats the 6112’s were still good but the 5160’s were toast

      @@bryanangelov the 6112’s are a good package, I’d you can find them in stock!
      I’m happy with the rear Aluma’s on the truck now. But I’ve always tried to keep the same brand front and rear. If you’re going 6112’s I’d do 5100’s or the 5160’s in the rear. Just know the rear shocks will most likely need replaced before the fronts

      @@MidMoTundra My truck is almost 15k now. I will wait until the current Bilstein 4600 shocks give up and decide which route to go then. But it totally makes sense to have front and rear shocks to be similarly set, since various brands have different approach of dampening. I will do some more research whether it is okay to have a different setup though.

    Do the ride better than the bilsteins?

    • @MidMoTundra
      @MidMoTundra  Год назад

      I think the Toytec’s have a better ride quality than the Bilstein’s.
      The Bilstein’s were slightly stiff on smaller bumps (road imperfections/pot holes), but soaked up larger bumps (such as speed bumps at speed (~30mph)) or whoop like gravel roads.
      The Toytec’s ride great over small bumps and equal to the Bilstein if not slightly better over larger bumps
