Prof Linda de Beer is a Chartered Accountant SA, a Chartered Director SA and holds a Master’s degree in taxation. She serves on the boards of a number of JSE listed companies where she also chair their audit committees. She is a member of the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa and a member of the King IV Task Team and was therefore extensively involved in the drafting of King IV. She is the chairman of the Financial Reporting Investigations Panel of the JSE, a member of the Issuer Regulator Advisory Committee of the JSE, as well as the Investor Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)
established in terms of the Sarbanes Oxley Act in the United States of America. She is a Professor of Practice at the University of Johannesburg.
