I really needed to hear this today. I also didn't do accounting back in HS as I was pressured by my parents to pick Life Sciences and pursue a career in Health. I'm currently a 2nd Year B.Pharm student and I hate every second of it. Accounting was my first choice and I'm currently looking to switch degrees because I really don't see myself as a pharmacist. Watched this video when was repeating my 3rd year, and now I am doing my articles and passed my ITC. These videos are truly inspirational and the wonders they do for us when we are at our lowest cannot be measured. The mere instance of hearing someone share their story of resilience , it gives you hope and strength to not give up.

This is great ,Actuaries and CAs are not very much different in terms of the road that they take to qualify as professionals we do also have board exams that we have to write with ASSA and aspiring CAs have SAICA and other governing bodies for accountants .Awe! Endunamo is the best, if you studying accounting at Unisa - under grad, CTA, ITC, APT they got your back. I really liked what the young black guys are doing over there, helping to making sure that more of us are also doing well in this field.

Hi I hope you well. Please kindly note that the honours degree includes a research module, which is not included in the Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting Science. PGDAS/ CTA. Both Honours but the other has research module to fundamental masters degree.
I want be a charted account in the future and next month I need to choose my high-school subject but my mom wants me to choose another career. Can a CA help advise me please 😭😭
Hi I hope you well. Respectfully alert mom on subjects you have strength on, commercial or science? If you good with numbers and other commercial studies then honestly prove to yourself and to her. Show her that a CA(SA) is a respected and semi limited designation that is highly needed in SA and can open more professional jobs for you this includes oversees. If you use the designation well its unlikely to be unemployed if you really set yourself apart from other by being unique and specialising challenging concepts. The designation has 4 disciplines/ Modules. Accounting, Auditing, Taxation and Financial Management. So once qualified you can choose from the four what you want to specialise on. This can be in Assurance (audit) banking (financial services) tax practitioner (SARS or self employed) etc. remember respectfully its your future and your career path you lead it and make final choices after taking all the advises and guidance from those elderly and those with experience in the industry. Allow God to guid and lead your path too.
