Thanx. Loved the video. Had a Losi xx4 17 years ago. Was such a nice buggy. Wonder how the xray xb4 and schumacher cat l1 compare to the b74. As we have zero support for tekno yokomo tlr and a bunch of other brands.
Hey I know this is an old video but the Tekno EB410 is now available on Amain for $275 and you can still use coupons on it. I know the new EB410.2 just came out but for $250 with coupon code I think the EB410 is hard to beat considering the value and if they included some of the revised parts in these kits.
I'm looking at the tekno 410.2 buggy, losi 22, losi 4.0nor 5.0 elite, b64 or 74, kyosho mp9e kit I don't know yet waiting for taxes to come before purchase any advice?? Also need advice on good esc, motors, servos, etc...... Headed to local track in Memphis TN area and see what surfaces they got and common ran cars!!
Vape Clouds901 I have a kyosho zx6 put a tazer motor with built in speed control just to see how it goes and my friend has the tekno 410 can’t think of the motor he did have castle but mine is still quicker and pretty fast for a cheaper motor and has been holding up very well. The tekno from what I have been seeing takes a beating for when he has wiped out and the drive shafts sit further in the couplers than the zx6. Also been hearing a lot of good things on the new TLR 22x4 . I love my zx6 but parts can be pricey the tekno with more weight forward turns quicker and sharper turns which after driving it I liked it. Like to try a new kyosho but haven’t had a chance. So my next 1/10 buggy will either be tekno or TLR 22x4.. this guy in the video saying tekno breaks I’ve yet to see it and the guys at the track say they are the most durable so far from what they have been around. Indoor clay very hard.. my friend has cart wheeled his and nose dived it when a guy hit him from behind and nothing happened to it.
I'm looking to get back into racing after 15 years there's a lot of new products and technology out now I'm looking at the tekno buggies, losi 22, losi 4.0 or 5.0, kyosho mp9e, Schumacher kc, armma typhoon, I want a good racer for getting back into it something I can upgrade everything and be competitive once again thanks??
Very informative video! At the end you mentioned that the B74 was in the price line of Xray, Yokomo, and Kyosho but not as good. Have you drove those brands? I want to get back into RC again and like the 4wd buggy class. The last mentioned buggies is what I'm interested in just from what I have been seeing. I think the higher price with quality parts standard is worth it so I don't have to spend a fortune on aftermarket parts to make it durable and competitive. Please, if you can, do a comparison of the other brands to the Tekno and AE B74. I know shocks are very important to how they land jumps and transfer traction in corners for acceleration. I like the kits as building it helps me to understand how it works and know how to repair it if something breaks. I had a Kyosho 2wd buggy years ago and never broke a part. That is a big deal to me as parts can add up quickly. Your insight is valued to me because I trust your opinion. Thanks for your valuable contributions to the RC public 👍
I haven’t driven the latest X-ray, Yokomo and Kyosho, only the previous generation ones (ZX6.6, YZ4, etc). Unfortunately these cost $800-900 each to build and own, so it’s just not financially feasible to buy them all. I focus on the U.S. brands because they are the most popular and are usually cheaper in the U.S.
Considering the losi takes 20 screws, many parts removed just to change a spur..no thanks. The tekno beats that easily. And then the front belts on the losi like to strip and break
you probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can watch all the latest movies on Instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother lately :)
I know the B74 is expensive, but I believe the value is actually quite good. Given all the carbon and aluminum. On top of that user experience also adds to value. Things like easy to work on, durability, and great support add a lot of value to owning one buggy over another. Nice video, thanks 👍
@@kennethjeffries5022 The price doesn't seem to be an issue for the guys here at Tacoma RC Raceway. It seems like all B64's have disappeared overnight.
what's the best way to take off the wheels to clean the inside of them I've Never done it before and don want to svrew it up just wanna clean THE the inside of dirt and yucky stuff inside is it s Easy procedure please somebody out there help me with this never done it before??
Ha ha. I do a lot of "shoot-outs" with my vehicles as well. I'm actually doing a 12-engine shootout where I pit 12 of my nitro engines against one another to on one vehicle to determine which engine is best suited for it (same with pipes, servos, etc). I've got a bracket with seeding all that,
Losi has really disappointed me with that buggy.I have a 22 4.0 as a second 2wd to play around and would have stuck with losi if they had a better 4wd.So I just stick with all my associated buggies.Parts availability and tuning options are big selling points to me if you are going to race like I do.I see alot of people knocking team associated but the buggies they are talking about in it's place are impossible to get parts for.I don't want to run around with tons and tons of parts or wait a week to order them.I have never been in a HS that stocks Hot bodies parts at all and see a couple of people comparing them to the associated. HB drives good but support and tuning options are too slim to be competitive unless you are sponsored by them
To me why get a B74 when you can get a tough fast 4wd buggy HB D418 with Orion electronics brushless or just the kit for a $100 less still a kit comes with wheels and body much better deal. Support isn't that bad really sure tracks may not have the parts not much breaks on it though. Amain, Ebay, Absolute Hobbyz etc has the parts to rebuild or extra parts. I been running my for a while just a great buggy .
I don’t understand why TLR don’t put out a 10th scale buggy worth a crap is 5 or 6 yeas Why don’t they just do a smaller version of there’ Uber successful eighth scale buggy platform modify it a bit ,shorten it up use some slick designs just to change it up ? You’re welcome Gil Losi better to be predictable and consistent Then to not complete at all Because all your other designs performed like garbage. EB410 looks a lot like a 8ight e shortened chassis
@@adrastos123 the original EB410 had 3mm hinge pins which bent all the time. Tekno admitted this was a problem and updated them to 3.5mm hingepins on the .2. If you haven't owned a B74, then I'm not sure how you can compare the durability of the EB410 vs. the B74. It's way more durable than the B64 or B44 (obviously).

Ok, time for an updated shootout......EB 410.2 VS. B74 VS. 22X-4!
Ok retraction.....NOW it's EB 410.2 VS. B74.1 VS. 22X4 😒
Would be curious to see what the results would've been if the Tekno EB410.2 had been available at the time this review was completed.
I agree. They fixed allot of the weak points.
410.2 has to be the best bang for your buck 4wd. Tekno is awesome.
